Quick drive by hi to all....like Tara - I'm being meetinged to death - so I'll just tell ya what I've been up to and come back later with a more better ketchup....

Yesterday - staff meeting - went better than expected - basically we were all told that our errors will not longer be tolerated and that we have a "pretty good gig" working from home but we all need to think of if as a job and not a hobby. I had a meeting with Chris' counselor yesterday also - just for me - that went well also - had last night off - Jeffrey and I ate pizza and watched "Click"- so good!

Oh yeah - Chris car died yesterday - he thinks it's the alternator....and I'm trying my best to keep repeating "his problem - not mine"....

This morning I waited about 2 hours for confirmation on a meeting time - got tired of waiting and left for the post office and milk store - got a call on the way from the office so I re-routed there - stopped at DD on the way home....never made it to get milk.....Alyssa should be home soon - she'll probably want to go with me. Have to work tonite 7pm - 12am.

that's all for now folks - be back later with a proper ketchup....hugs all around....

Groceries are done. Nephew is napping.

Liz, hmmm, how about you just come over here and eat tacos with us? ;) :teeth:

Betty, good idea about dinner, but I want tacos, too. :teeth: I'll come up with something for him to do for me. ;) :teeth:

I'm a big baby when I am sick and want to be babied and pampered. :teeth:

Betty....When I am sick they know it and rather not be around me;) Now if Todd isn't home I have to be Mommy, can't be sick.

Paula...guess you co-workers like to play. Otherwise not sure how that was a better than expected meeting, unless firing was in the thoughts.

Have a terrific weekend...I may be on tonight.

Hi y'all! I meant to get in here earlier, but wound up doing other things aroudn the house. I'm about 90% done with all my Christmas shopping now. I just need to start in on the cards :)

Suzanne, I must admit, I am not a burger lover. I eat them when I have to... but I was the one with the burger at Le Cellier and really, it wasn't anything spectacular at all. I actaully was thinking it was very very over priced for what I got. It wasn't very juicy at all :( I thought that place was okay in general, but I don't see the huge draw that all have to it.

Tara, how did everything go today? Sounds like you were meeting'd out!

Liz, they are lucky to have tried a newer procedure for the cat and the cat is effectively in remission for diabetes. The moment though, she doesn't get her food and in the right amounts, she goes out of it. So they have her checked on daily. That and she has issues with keeping her water clean... seh likes to splash

Amanda, you have me so smiling about the whole phone calls and stuff. It makes me smile to think that they wouldn't think you would know ;)

Betty, when does your dear DH come home? Unlike you, I don't sleep well when Luis is gone. Then again he only kicks and doesn't snore (at least enough to bug me). We got the king sized bed, so when he's gone I feel alone. Of course when he is there, I am glad we have it... I get a good nights sleep ;)

Bethie, hope you find time to relax!!! Always glad when you stop in, but I admit, sometimes I worry if you get enough "down time"

Luis is very much like a few of your DH's, kids and even a few of you. When we both had food poisoning, I was trying to clean up the house to make sure that we couldn't reinfect ourselves at all (if it was possible). He would whine about how tired he was from being sick and blah blah blah... um honey... I had it just as bad, if not worse than you ;)
When I am sick, I usually just do what I can normally or just watch a lot of TV. I kind of enjoy being left alone a little.

Paula, your post made me tired. I hope you have a good time with Alyssa this weekend! How are things going with the newere b/f?

Got most of the kitchen cleaned up today and the dishes are now done. Just have to decide exactly what I want to make for supper.

Busy day around Bettyville. Got the urine sample from Princess, our shih tzu, and took it to vets. They have already called and everything is normal. It must have been the change of diet while in kennel. I do not know why I didn't remember to take her food when I kennelled her. Then I had lunch with DD and her gf from high school. Tonight we are going to the musical at the high school. This should be a fun night.

Paula - Glad your meetings weren't really bad. Chris's car :sad1: Alyssa home  Enjoy your weekend

Sherry - Just make sure that whatever you want from Junior will last 40 minutes because that is how much time you spent on him today....oh and make it fun

Elaine - how is the digital phone working out? I can't believe you have Christmas shopping almost done....and now you are talking cards!!! :thumbsup2 I haven't started anything for Christmas. DH will be home late tonight.....he only snores a little but that spray that they make now really does help. But...I miss him when he is gone :love2:

Hi y'all... been kind of blah... I think it is the post vacation blahs that finally hit. I've been trying to keep busy and that seems to help. I think that's why I am into doing so much with Christmas. I probably will try to buy cards tomorrow and get those out. Part of it is the old mindset that I had so much to do and so little time that I am used to with vacationing right around Thanksgiving. This year going to my in-laws right at Thanksgiving isn't helping. That was a big reason why we moved that trip to WDW as well... didn't want to do all that traveling then.

If I don't get Christmas Cards done before TG weekend, I never seem to get them done

Then the tree will have to go up and with the piano, I am not sure how that is going to work... we might have to move the love seat to the familiy room temporarily... we'll see though.

Glad to hear that all is okay with Princess! I forgot that she had some issues before and glad it probably is just due to te diet change while "vacationing" herself ;)

I think I'm going to try to coerce Luis into coming upstairs and just relaxing with me for a while. Though tomorrow should be a quiet day for us as well. I'm liking that!

Evening all!!

Betty, glad all is well with Princess. Forty minutes, huh? :scratchin: :teeth:

Elaine, holy cow. I haven't done anything for Christmas yet.

Tomorrow morning me and Junior are going to see Borat. Then we are taking the boys out for lunch (most likely a buffet) and then we are going to Family Night at our church. I will miss the game, though. :faint:

Betty sketty, I didn't mean to keep you guessing! :rotfl: Here's the car when it was brandy new:

Scratching my head-boss comes up to me today and asks if the new job took two weeks or wanted me to start sooner. Standard two weeks, I replied. What's up with that?

Lainey, it's funny because I used to enjoy a fast food burger. Now it's all about fresh ground beef burgers and the fixins. I'll only eat burgers off the grill at home. Weird. The soup at Le Cellier can be the deciding factor for us-it reminds us of our fave restaurant back in Maryland.

Sherry, how were those tacos?

Can I share something sweet? I got stuck at the VW dealer yesterday and had planned to pick up lunch to bring to work. Alas, I was there so long, I didn't get anything. Ed went and picked up Flautas from my favorite tex mex place and brought them to me so I wouldn't starve. I returned the favor today by purposely getting enough BBQ for two and giving it to him when I got to work. My man's a keeper.

Hmm, you see how much I talk about food? LOL!

I hope no one gets really sick, other than Betty's patient. I don't want to be babied or left alone when sick, I just keep working though it (except the flu) so that I don't think about being sick. Called my sis today and she's got the sinusitis thing I used to get evey year. Major plus of not being in that weather.

I need sleep, never did get that nap this morning!

Suzanne

Good Morning!!

Rainy, chilly day here today. Blech!

Suzanne, love the color of your Bug. :) And how sweet of Ed. Definitely a keeper. :teeth:

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Kimmar - Wallpaper Work? I have only done borders, so I envy your talent. Oh and my DS saw Rutgers this past fall when Rutgers played OU. He said the campus was beautiful. He does filming for the Ohio University football team and travels with them.....

"Skets" ~
We didn't get finished till almost 1AM last night - hooBOY, am I exhausted! But the bathroom looks awesome (if I DO say so myself.... :rolleyes1 )...now I have to look for the PERFECT curtain....wow, filming for OU - w-a-a-a-y kewl! :thumbsup2

Good morning y'all! I was up earlier reading but fell back asleep for a while. It was nice to really sleep in this morning. I think with all this rain, we might stay in today. Though I might go across the street (so to speak) to Hallmark.

Suzanne, that is odd... I wouldn't know what to think of that. As for burgers, I am not a fan of red meat much at all. Most fast food burgers are nasty to me. I'll eat if needed though. I prefer a nice grilled burger at home. More likely to be juicy and nice even when well done. Sadly the soup at Le Cellier is definitely not for me. Can't eat it and didn't like the over powering taste of onions in it. What really shocked me about Le Cellier though is we went last Nov with Dad and Luis. Luis was looking through the menus of places to eat and said we needed to try there. I told him he already ate there, but we could go again. He apparently forgot the food there since I had to remind him. Since he is the carnivore, that said a ton to me about the place!
Ed sure is a sweetie! That was nice of him to do!

Sherry, we have that yucky nasty stuff here too. But not being able to watch the game? :faint: ;) I know we will be watching, or at least Luis will be.

Congrats on getting all that done, Kimmar! I don't think I will ever try to hang wallpaper. Painting is bad enough for me :p

Good Afternoon

Elaine - it is rainy here also. Well, get that Christmas stuff done if you are traveling during Thanksgiving.....because next year you will have a whole new routine going with the baby and the holidays. In other words, do it now when you can while you are young.....LOL

Sherry - Your weekend sounds very nice

Suzanne - Your car is adorable. I love that color. I didn't see anything like that when we were looking. Although I did notice that 2007 doesn't have my paint color so I will be ordering some touch up paint while I can still get it. Do they change or drop and/or add a color each year?? I did see where they added black this year. Ed sounds like a real keeper!!!! He is a sweetie.

And....just for the record, Betty Sketty likes Wendy's hamburgers...

Kimmer - what color wallpaper did you use for your bathroom? Oh,,,,and take a nap today. You deserve it.

Well, kind of a busy weekend and week coming up...got to run.

afternoon gang,

sorry i went mia yesterday. I had my meetings, then went to lunch, and couldn't get anything done since people kept coming by for advice or questions.

Went scrapping and completed some pages I had started but hadn't finished, and then finished about 6 more.

Been cross stitching and moving furniture around here.

Got pizza rolls in the oven for dinner and then will probably do more stitiching.

I'll see you later!
tara

Evening all....

Got home earlier than expected, low youth group turnout...so finished what we needed and left.

What soup is at LeCellier?

Christmas...I have some items purchased. Todd and I plan to do a lot of shopping next Saturday night. We have a lot to purchase for. With 15 nieces/nephews, plus doing my dad's shopping it gets to be a bit much. My sister does help...thankfully.

Burgers...I am not much for any type of burger. Fast food would have to be Wendy's, if I had to choose one. I sometimes crave White Castle's...maybe once a year. I am more of a chicken chick. The other thing I don't care for is the bread. If I eat bread I want flavored bread (banana nut, pumpkin  ).

Elaine...take Betty's advice. Enjoy the shopping time now. I rarely get to shop on my own. One kid isn't too bad, but when you get 2 and they bicker shopping takes on a new meaning.

Betty...glad all is well with Princess.

Watching Amazing Race, Todd taped it.

Have a terrific night!

LOL, I will remember that with shopping... however we do a lot of it online. Actually pretty much all of it was done this year online. I just do not like going out in malls at all... it's a people thing for me. It took about 20 minutes for me to get it done yeterday.

Then again, y'all have to remember, I am used to traveling during TG week or the week after. So this is nothing new for me.

Since it was so nasty out, we decided to go right home after we had lunch at Bob Evan's. So maybe when it isn't so nasty I will go out and find cards. I am not even sure where yet I will get them as I hate spending too much $$ on them.

We ordered pizza so I have to go...

Tara, sorry your day was so busy, glad you could stop in today

Amanda, it is some sort of cheddar soup. Luis or my dad had it and I didn't care for it at all :( They thought it was decent though.

See y'all later!

Even online shopping it would take awhile for the amount of individuals I have to buy for. I do some online and some in stores. I do what I can online, but I refuse to pay shipping. I got 2 of my nieces some nice fossil watches, free shipping, from my Dad. My sister was able to find my brother's gifts from my Dad. We still have a long way to go.

Elaine...enjoy the pizza. We were suppose to have that with the youth, but decided to cut out early. I had chicken and salad. The girls had frozen pizza.

Pizza is gone... Luis is now nibbling on some wings he ordered :teeth:

Amanda, I am lucky with shopping. I have my dad, my brother, sister, BIL and SIL. Luis and I don't really exchange gifts. I will get some food baskets sent to my in-laws, aunt & grandma and my other aunt, grandma and uncle. If Luis buys for his brother that is his own deal. But the food baskets won't be sent until next month. Not a lot to shop for this year and next year won't be too much more since the baby will be about 7 months old or so by then.

Very happy about the OSU game... should be interesting next week ;)

woohoo!! I'm down one kid tonight!! So I won't have to worry about waking up to a mess tomorrow morning!

I love love love LeCellier's cheddar soup!! In fact I was going through my scrap pages and came across my lecellier page and my mouth started watering just thinking about it!! yummy! I also love their filet mignon. Doing dining plan so can get whatever i want there!!

Mom has done her shopping on line this year and she is just about done. I don't have a clue what I want to do for anyone. I like to go out and touch and feel and run around like a fool. So I will be going out after we get back from WDW!! (I think it is 11 and 1/2 days (well 11 days 10 hours and 43 minutes...but I'm not counting down or anything :teeth: )

Okay, headed in to watch DH and then go to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow!!

hugs to all,
tara

Good morning, Ya Ya Family! Whew!! What a week this has been! Came back from our Halloween trip and jumped right into the fray! Dave is working the late shift these 2 weeks and that throws me off every time, cuz we don't get to have dinner together each night. This is my weekend off, but it was scheduled because we had a Handbell Seminar/Festival to go to. Luckily, Dave was off for the federal holiday on Friday, so he picked me up when I got off work and we went straight to the bell thing, about 40 minutes away. Most of our choir got together at Olive Garden for dinner (YUM!!), then we rang from 7 to 9:30. That wasn't so bad except Saturday morning started at 8:30--so allowing for shower, dress, eat, and travel time, we were a little short on sleep. So, groggy and cranky, we plowed into the music. The clinician was not as good as we have had in the past and she was not easy to follow since she frequently forgot to speak into the microphone! Add to that our own choir director has made us change positions for each piece we play so that we get used to ringing different size bells and learn to read music better......Well, on one song, I gave up trying to play the last page and just waited for the last note. THAT one, I could get! :thumbsup2 Good thing we didn't have much of an audience for the final concert, because there was still PLENTY of room for improvement amongst ALL the choirs. Came home and positively crashed. Still need more sleep.......

Gotta head for church now, but I'll be back! I need to ketchup!! :grouphug:

Good morning all! Not feeling the best today. I had ordered an open faced meatloaf sandwich yesterday and I didn't realize how many onions not cooked well were in it. It was enough to give me a bad headache and make my stomach not as happy. This would be why I don't like that soup at all at Le Cellier ;)

Tara, woo hoo for the trip almost being there!!! If you liked the steak at Le Cellier, Luis said the one at Ragland Road was great. He also was in love with the prime rib at Boma. My honey keeps a list of all steaks he has eaten and how they score mentally. He's tough too and picks on quality, not name of place he went to or price. His favorite was a $25 steak here in Columbus.

Bethie, sound like an interesting and tiresome weekend. I'm sorry that the clinic wasn't near as good as usual. I can understand your teacher wanting y'all to play with the different sizes but wow... there had to be a better way! I hope you get the rest you need ::yes::
