Good morning y'all.

We survived the sleepover and birthday party.
The girls got along surprisingly well and we did not have any real homesickness to contend with.

There was only one point where they broke into "factions" on how to play some imaginary game. One group was led by Lela who is used to being the older sister and able to manipulate her way The other girl is obviously an only child and used to having her own way too. We didn't intervene and they eventually worked it out.

The other girls arrived on Saturday and we had cake and a nice party.

Then we attended a party Sunday for a little boy Lela used to go to school with. It was nice seeing everyone again.


Is the last lost Y'all Y'all back in the fold now?

Mission Space's green version is pretty good. You do feel a lot of the same sensations, but no where near as rough on you as the orange is.

So if you want to look green, you go to the orange?

Figured I'd better pop in amd post or you all would think I was still at my meeting - haha. About that - it was scheduled for 10am - person that we had to meet with could not seee up till 12:00 - soooo I was at the office from 10:00 - 2:30pm.....I put in about 55 hours this week between scheduled hours and meetings....so that's why no play time on the computer this weekend.

Jeffrey and I went out for fish and chips Friday night (my first night off in 2 weeks) - on Saturday I took Alyssa shopping - she wanted skinny-jeans....who ever thought of that term?? - worked Saturday night 4-8pm and yesterday 7am - 2pm....fell asleep watching football last night.

Welcome home to the travelers!! Glad the trips were a success!
and the birthday parties as well!
(oh yes - that twin of mine Rosemary's writing course has really had an effect on me)

Gotta run some errands before work.....I'll try to check in later....

Hi y'all... going back just a wee bit.

Finally able to look at some of Dave and Beth's pics. Not something I can easily do on my phone.

Liz, not sure what to say on the Segway Tour. You get about an hour of instruction indoors and then you are allowed to go outside in world showcase. A lot of fun actually. It did rain so we didn't get to do quite so much, but oh well.
Best wishes to you with Barkley. That is always a tough decision

Suzanne, sorry you couldn't make it to WDW... though I admit on Friday I had a bad headache in the afternoon and was kind of out of it until late evening.

Pam, no I didn't buy ears for the baby... I'm a bit too paranoid about things like that at the moment.

Rose Mary, awesome trip report!!! So glad we had so much time together to hang out. Sorry I got pissy in the afternoon though... that frozen lemonade really tried my patience more than it should have! Grrr.....

Tara, I have a big huge for you!!!! I've been through bad funks in my life. If it is too much, talk to someone or see if a doc can help... sometimes we have no control over what our bodies to do us emotionally.

Amanda, good luck with the new job! Sounds like there is good and bad with it, but hopefully won't be too stressful of a switch.

Bethie, I am glad we weren't the only ones who felt that way about MNSSHP. I am glad we did it once at least!!!

Paula, yuck on the long work hours... and more so on the skinny jeans... those things are evil and I hope since I have seen them in style for a couple years now that they will be on their way out soon

Hi all

Have been having a bunch of problems here. Biggest one being termites. Had a backyard full of them. Thankfully they have not reached the house yet. But sadly getting rid of them took a huge chunk of my Disney money.
Also had problems with cable since Time Warner took over so Jack decided to get the Dish. Not sure if I am happy about that. We cannot get local channels with it and he is having issues with the antenna. Guess I will have to be patient.

Glad everyone made it home safely.

We survived camping. The first night was pretty cold, last night was cold but not as bad. Mandy just wanted to remain at the campground the entire time, she just didn't want to go anywhere that required walking. Cassie just goes with the flow. We were going to go to the movies at one point but we missed one and would have to wait 2 hrs to go, our campsite was 45min-1hr away...so going back and returning wasn't a choice. Mandy decided she didn't want to go, so I plan to take Cassie tomorrow when Mandy is at a birthday party. Cassie wants to see Flush Away...but considering SC3.

Elaine...I am opposite of you. I love the boardwalk. The convenience and humbub is right there for me.

Alan...glad you survived the party.

Tara...I used to get 'let down headaches'. I even went to the Dr. because they were so consistant on Fridays and I had never heard of those types of headaches. I tend to get headaches for everything, that is just how my body deals with things. Between allergies, PMS, let down headaches and diabetes I used to have a daily headache. Now most of them are controlled. I get slight ones but an excedrin and clarinex can handle them. Hope this Friday is better for you. Glad to hear Jarrod was better.

Amanda...I forgot to say congrats on the new job. Glad you all had a good time camping. This friday should be better since i'll be scraping!!woohoo!!

Elaine...the doc switched me back to my old happy pills and they are doing much better. They have a generic now so they arne't as expensive. But Jarrod has been a doll today and that has made a big difference. I take things too personally and that really makes things worse.

Tina..sorry for the termites. Those are yucky!! Glad to see you stop in!

Liz good luck with Barkley. Maybe if Greg takes him he will see how much pain and suffering he has.

Paula...never heard of skinny jeans...but they sound nasty!

RM...so you had to deal with a pissy Elaine?? I believe you left that bit of the story out of your trip report!!

Hi all,

Tara, I've got the kid that I want to give away today-so that's probably Jarrod's being good.

In a major funk here. I have decided to leave my job. I love it, but financially, it's killing me. Neil's meds are excluded from the insurance we have (as they would be from just about everything we could find), so I'm venturing back into retail. I accepted a job this evening, and will begin in two weeks.

It's tearing me apart and I'll probably spend the next two weeks crying. This job has been awesome, the guests fantastic and my coworkers a dream. It sucks when something so good doesn't work out...

Amanda, glad you all survived camping. You are far more brave than I. I wouldn't survive in that cold weather.
As for the Boardwalk, I admit to loving the Swalphin or Beach Club, but I just don't like being *ON* the Boardwalk. I like being near it It's too noisy and too bright for my tastes as a place to stay. I like to come back to a relaxing place and I just don't feel as relaxed there.

Tara, glad the happy pills are working well for you. And woo hoo for the less expensive generics. I hope Jarrod keeps on being a doll though. Oh and thanks for the update on Karen. Tell her we miss her!

Suzanne, I am so sorry about your job. I had no idea it was that bad for y'all. Will Ed still be working there at least? I do hope all goes well with the new job. When you mentioned having an interview last week, I thought it was an interview with a new person, not a new job Good luck

Good morning all....

I thought the day was off to a bad start....in my haste and excitement of seeing Starbucks coffee on sale at Target this weekend I grabbed beans rather than ground and of course I don't have a coffee grinder so I used the "Little Oscar" mini food chopper...worked well enough and caffeine is me!!

Harley is being a little stitch this morning - I have only 1 plant in the house and she insists on climbing on it! I think she needs more toys !!

Elaine - how's the knitting going? What are you working on ??
Sherry - thanks for the reminder on Cars - I've got to at least put that on Netflix.
Suzanne - I am sorry that the job you loved was not a good economic fit.....horrible that we have to make such choices - good luck with the return to retail - where will you be working?
Tara....about those skinny jeans.....straight and very tight in the legs...plus - she takes a size 7 long - it's OK to hate her for that - I do!!

Not sure what I'm doing today - cleaning as usual - work tonite. Chris does not ahve school today - he's finishing up his community service then working tonite too. I have an appt with the photographer tomorrow to buy his senior pics - still undecided on poses so you will have to wait till tomorrow to see which one I chose.
