Oh good Lord no!!!! I cannot stand the whole E! as a nickname. Trust me... I dealt with it far too much after that stupid network came out

Um Todd... can you please change your date? Last time you were right and poor Ethan was early. I'm not sure I have strength to deal with a preemie :(

MJ, I'll just laugh when I finally see the baby playing with the cats. Mostly because I know they'll get hissed at and swatted at. I won't be able to help but laugh at that ;) No, I am not worried that my cats could hurt a baby. They've been around them in the past and had no worries.

Sherry, sorry that your day is now messed up by having to go out. I hope you get to relax some tomrorow.

Rose Mary, sorry for a yucky day. I say you rent yourself a convertable so you can enjoy the nice weather as you drive down ;) I really do hope something looks up. This vacation sounds very much needed now!

Amanda, you made me tired just listening to your day :faint: I don't blame you for not wanting to go to church after doing all that!

Cleaning and packing here today... fun stuff ;)

Good morning all! Happy Hump Day!!! Getting ready to head into town for the weekly bookkeeping but wanted to visit with my Ya Ya family first.

 Hi, MJ!! Nice to see you and Simba drop in!

Laine, maybe the ! was just the punctuation at the end of the sentence? And Li'l E is cute, I think! I've started packing, too--hauled out all my crop and capri pants and tried 'em all on to make sure they'll fit over this knee brace. Some are a little more snug than I'd like, but I think they will do. We've been watching the long-range forecast and it looks like you'll get your 80s, or at least upper 70s!

Rose Mary, I hope all will be well with both your DS and the car! It's too close to vacation for you to get saddled with anything worrisome!! Prayers and PD heading your way, for sure.

Sherry, sorry your DVR ketchup has to be "re-scheduled". Hope the little guy let's his momma get some sleep and is feeling better real soon. And Junior went back to days this week, didn't he? Bet it's nice to have everybody on the same sleep schedule!

That is just too much work in one day, Amanda! With all that, I shouldn't think you'd need to go to the gym. Whew!!! Strawberry pie sure sounds yummy, though.

Hope the pain settles down for ya, Todd. I know "Braces make beautiful faces" but it's not all that fun getting there.

So, Suzanne, as long as you're heading over to Mouse Surplus.....I keep eyeing that WL furniture. But the shipping would be astronomical and just not worth it. I think we're good on packing--we check most everything anyway.

Bout time for me to head on out. Hope everyone's day is a good one!! Mad, mad love and :grouphug:

I am just not the dress up type.... I definitely have to be in the mood for something like that.

I'll bet if you try the Little Bo Peep or Cheerleader thing, you can get Todd to straighten out a closet or two..... :rolleyes1

I'm  because when I read Todd's braces comment, I immediately thought of googling an image of Forest Gump. This is not the first time I have thought like Kimmar either.

Yes Tara, you owe the teacher cookies. ::yes:: We seem to be having some success with Abigail's moodiness now that she is taking B-12.

The cleaning went well. I thought I was going to just have to straighten the floor and computer desk. I tend to umm..err..gather clutter and since that is a sighted thing, it falls under my responsibility to clean. Occassionally Rebecca has to remind me of how important it is to her.

In other words, I thought those boxes were happy and healthy sitting against the wall..but noooooo

John, you're not helping ;) I really do hope that I can make it through Easter and a bit beyond w/o trouble. I think my choir director does as well since at least in the summer it isn't so hard to get the books done.

LOL, Beth, I admit, I hate E! or even E. It just has to do with my name being associated with that not long ago. That's about the only nickname I cringe at when people call me that. Just a severe dislike of mine... along with pink ;)
Glad you have some good crops and capris that will work with the knee brace. I know that can be such a pain to figure out. I think I have all my clothes set. I would bring capris for the slightly cooler days, but I don't think they fit. I might try just in case though. The waist line is just too high at the moment I think to wear those.

Alan... *sigh* what are we to do with you

I need to clean and stuff... I'm off!

Elaine--okay i take back what i say...It was either that or June 13th..Amandas birthday...

Alan-- :worship: ..You & kimmar thinking alike? :joker: You cleaning too, eh? That is the problem when we have people over, we have to clean up.. :rolleyes1

Beth--long range forecast for Elaine...can you look up 30 days from now for me? :cloud9: ..Safe travels to town..

John--There are several people that I know that share the same birthday with me :confused3 ....

That's my son's birthday, too! :thumbsup2 He was due on May 18th but arrived on April 25th.

Alan - I see that Shep had no comment on your Cheerleader or Little Bo Peep costume suggestion! :duck:

Rosemary - :wave2: Hope everything turns out okay for your son. By any chance do you think that you got a rock up in your rotor? I did that on Monday (almost had a heart attack because I haven't even made 1 payment on the thing yet! :faint: ) But I floored the car and the rock popped out. Btw, my DH does not suggest that you floor the car to dislodge the rock! :rotfl2:

WHAT??!!! LAINEY DOESN'T LIKE PINK???? :furious:  Do you realize, Girl, that all of us have been writing our Congratulations in the color PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crap on a cracker!!!

I just noticed that Shep is now using the :cloud9: emoticon!!! :rotfl: What's next? The :goodvibes ????? :lmao:

:duck: :duck: :duck: :duck:
:teeth: Love ya, Shep!

 I've been fired!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: Unfortunatley it was by an 11 year old who was pissed at me! :rotfl: This is the same one that wants to "get" me. I was ready to leave when he fired me but no one would let me go!! Oh darn, so I'm still here!

Elaine...you can handle a preemie...they are just smaller versions of the full term ones! They are so precious and tiny! Oh and I did Disney at 7 weeks and i can tell you that you need to make sure you drink all day long and don't go too long without eating a little something! I think I spent that whole trip moving from bathroom to restaurant to bathroom and back again! :rotfl:

Now that I think about it, when I went when I was preggers with Jarrod at 6 months I ate my way through the park too :confused3 ...okay, I'll admit it, I just like to eat!! I guess i'll have to make sure I plan a trip to disney for the next one so that I don't break the tradition!! hehehehe

Shep...so when are you going? I can't see your counter so i can't tell. If you are there when I'm there we should try to meet up!! I leave in 28 days!! :woohoo: not that I'm counting or anything!!!

Oh, and bowling went really well. I sucked at two games, did well on the 3rd game, and my team one of the 4 games. So it was a good evening!

Last night was Jarrod's raingutter regatta and boy were there a lot of crying boys last night  I tried to be the soothing mom in the beginning "Honey you did your best. It's okay that you lost" You know the drill. A bit later when he was still pouting I pulled the "you need to knock it off you are not the only one who lost", the final one was the hiss "fine you want to whine and pout over this, I'll yank you up out of here and take you home so fast you won't know what hit you" That straightened him up pretty quickly :rotfl: Nothing like a little threat to get what you want!! I couldn't believe how upset these boys got when they lost.

After the races we spent the next 30 to 40 minutes fixing ice cream and winding the kids up! :rotfl: So by the time I got home I was one tired puppy!!!

dang, gotta go and get some work done, been working on this too long!

back later,
tara

:rotfl: Pam, I guess you need to let DH know that it works! The mechanic said it could be that but, he wasn't sure without checking. I remember leaving there and getting so tired of hearing that noise I floored it a bit. After that the noise went away :confused3 Oh well, still getting it checked out tomorrow so I won't be all worried about it on the drive to DISNEY WORLD!!
Darn Tara! Can't even get good and fired huh? :teeth: Too funny about the boys. They don't grow out of it either, LOL. My kid is still moping around about that last football loss.
Bethie, thanks for the prayers and PD.
UH oh, supervisor coming around the corner. gotta go.

Todd, the long range forecast for you will be anything better than what you see now ;)

I did try on my capris and they will work. I know my jeans will carry me far since they are so low rise. These are bit higher in the rise, but still low enough to wear for a long time I think. Though I won't need to for a long time after this trip :rotfl: Some of my other stuff will be touch and go. I was smart enough to buy the skirts in a size too big, so even though they sit on my "pooch" they'll still work ;)

June 13th isn't bad. So far I have requests for June 2nd, June 4th, and June 6th as well. Any other to add? Remember, June 8th is out no matter what :p

Oooh, Pam's post reminds me. I had something similar in my wheel area too. Luis had just wrecked his car and we were due to go to Chicago the next day when I hear this horrid sound. Just as I was driving it to the shop, it stopped. A rock, big nut... something kicked itself up in there. Dislodged itself and never heard a thing. So sometimes it is not a big deal at all!

Yeah, sorry Pam, I don't like pink. Blame it on my mom too. I really have a dislike for the overtly feminine and masculine clothing as well. Not sure why either. I know pink is bad for me since my mom *always* dressed me as such. I wound up having a severe distaste for it. Plus in case we do have a 2nd child, I hope that at least some of what we get can work for the other... boy or girl.

What can I say though, I really like green!!!!

Tara, I was thinking more of them staying in the hospital longer. I remember how hard it was on my parents to do that. I'm not sure I have that part in me. Though I suppose at 1 month early, it's usually not a huge deal provided they are over a certain weight. My brother was just in for the remainder of what should have been his gestational time. I couldn't imagine waiting that long to bring a baby home.
Oh and don't worry on the eating and drinking thing. I don't eat a lot in general (just me) but I eat small quantities lots of times. I will have a lot of PB sandwiches/crackers with me at all times. That way I don't have to keep sitting down to eat. Or I'll grab a pretzel. I can go a few hours without peeing... but I hold it so long most of the time :rotfl: I only have to get up 2x a night now :teeth:
I'm just lazy ya know ;) The rest of the trip isn't a worry for me, though I have a feeling I will be moving slow since I am such a slug!

I'm laughing at being fired and I even got a chuckle out of what you said to Jarrod to get him to stop. I guess boys are so competative even at that age!

I was more concerned with Amanda's reply and letting me know what I can do with my suggestions :teeth:

I know two girls who would probably be equally disappointed and at least one of whom I would go through the exact same levels of support, soothing, and fianlly threatening with. :rotfl:

Sorry you didn't get fired Tara. ;)

Hi Pam!! Thanks for the driving tips from you and Rose!

HI all....

What a joy to come back from being MIA and see Elaine's good news!! Many many congrats to you and Luis!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

By the way - I share Todd's birthday too!!
And I vote for June 5th - that's Alyssa's birthday!!

Nothing good to report here .....Chris is on 3 days in-school suspension for bunking school on Monday. The school called and asked where he was I told them I thought he was there because he's not here - I hang up with the school and call his cell - his reply....I ran out of gas and I knew if I ws late to school one more time I'd get suspended so I just went to my friends house so they would think I was absent.....so I say well I already told them you weren't here.....and....he hs the nerve to come home yesterday and ask me to write a note saying that I knew where he was ......I honestly do not know what to do to make this kid "get it".....

That's my rant for today...

Otherwise news for the week is that I had a somewhat productuve meeting at work yesterday....took the dog to the vets on Monday and she tested positive for Lyme Disease so she is on antibiotics.....thank god for my little Harley to make me smile....

That's all I got for now - hopefully a better ketchup later....

Hugs all around....

Elaine, My dad's was June 9th. I could be mean to Luis and suggest mine, which is July 26th. LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl: :confused3 :duck:

Dave-- :wave2:

Paula-- Yay for the Taurus'.. :grouphug: for the suspension.. :guilty:

Tara--We'll be at the Dolphin...We should arrive sometime late saturday afternoon, or evening...where you staying?

Rosemary--nice little DIS Ya Ya meet lined up there..
