Good morning everyone! Not sure why I am tired today, but I am. We had our first choir practice of the fall today. And we even did a Christmas song :faint:

Alan, I am glad that Mickey was found! We had a scare like that with one of ours. Called my DBF at the time to come over... and we looked. He turned up, indoors and safe. So scared though.
Hope all goes well for the familly with the new baby :)

John, I am so sorry to hear that! Did you get your server fixed up yet? I remember that every year you seem to have that problem

Paula, so nice to see you stop in again! We missed ya  Good luck to your DH with the exam coming up. I hope both kids do well at school this year as well. That trip looks awesome! I do hoep you enjoy it :)

Sherry, I haven't been to a Ponderosa (A Ponderosa, not that stupid TV show, twit-boy-Alan!) Is he still working the afternoon shifts?

John, shame on you ;) But I admit I would rather you use the Red Lobster g/c than see it go wasted :p We had a huge traffic back up here as well. Sadly it was due to a massive motorcycle accident.

Howdy Kimmar! Whatcha been up to lately?

Tara  Hope the week ends well for you!

Ooooooh, take me Suzanne!!!! I'll be glad to help watch kids ::yes:: I hope you find the tickets though! I think I will relax some this morning ;)

I have some little planning things to catch up on today. I just more or less planned out our whole WDW trip for the family!

So I had better do some of that and get moving... I should check in later :)

Morning all....just a quick Hi!!

I'm off to breakfast with my dad then to buy apples!! I love this time of year!!

Happy Planning Elaine!!
Suzanne - good luck with the ticket search.....
Tara....weekend is almost here - hope that cuts down on your stress :flower3:

:wave2: john, Alan, Sherry, Pam, Kimmar, and all.....

More later.....

...well, school has officially begun, and already I'm sooo glad it's FRIDAY!!!

...hey, Paula.....

Yeah, what Lainey said. ::yes:: Well, except for all the stuff that was about her, of course.

For instance, I'm not planning a WDW trip for family, but....

As you may or may not remember, we have booked and cancelled two cruises last year; it just never worked out.

Well, since I have had the tickets for a few weeks, I suppose it is safe to announce we are finally going on our first cruise. ::yes::

My friend who has been serving in Bahrain comes home Tuesday. Rebecca and I are going to join he and his wife and drive to Tampa next Saturday to cruise on the Carnival Miracle.

The negative thing is that everyone who had committed to watch our girls has backed out on us. They are going to miss a week of school and stay with my bro and SIL in south Alabama. Fortunately, they are young enough that the teachers had no problems with it and are going to send packets of work for them.

I just hate going to the trouble and taking them out of school when they aren't even going on vacation. :sad2:

But I didn't hate it enough to cancel the cruise ;) Mrs. AA has been after this for a long time.

Our ports of call include the Grand Caymans, Cozumel, Belize, and Costa Maya.

The only excursion we have booked so far is for the Grand Caymans. If any of you experienced travelers have suggestions or things to avoid, please PM me. :) I don't like not having all my ducks in a row, but the main thing is just to enjoy the time and location.

Good morning y'all. :wave2:

Paula, how did that apple picking go? That sounds like a ton of fun!!!!

LOL, Kimmar! I can only imagine! I even feel that way about Fridays too!

Alan, enjoy the cruise!!! Cozumel is beautiful! So try to see that island. We had a tour that let us drive beach buggies around so we could see how awesome that place was. Be glad to share pics of that one. Just beautiful! Would love to see it again :)

Ran errands this morning. Nothing too exciting. Just getting things ready for luis' brithday next week!

Hi ....just got in....we decided to just buy apples - not pick - but had a lovely drive got our apples and cider then searcehd out a winery that I had seen advertized at the fair last weekend - found that did some tasting and bought a bottle for Jeffrey - I'm sure he will want to go back.

On the way home stopped at the shop to check on Chris car - it was ready so I drove it home for him.

Now gotta do all the morning chores that didn't get done.....why does the hours always look untidy when the bed is not made??

Alan - woohoo on the trip - I am not a "cruiser" myself - no water things thank you - no boats bif or small...I would be most happy to fly in .....tropical suits me!!

gotta get stuff done....more later....

Mrs. AA is a lot more terrified of airlines than she is ships.

As for me, I don't want to think about it that much :)

Congrats on the car being ready. I need to call the body shop for mine.

Hi ho.

Off to grab some chinese food, but wanted to say hey!

Alan, you'll be in my neck o de woods, but I won't be here Saturday-I will be when you get back!

Paula, make some apple butter, willya?

...last Monday morning before the taping of the ellen degeneres show.....[bling-bling indeed.....]

First time all day I've had to really sit here and surf. Had my nephew for half the day. Did groceries, Junior & I went out to lunch :teeth:, then had some shopping for a b-day gift for my nephew. Had a heckuva time trying to find something cute. I hate that all the cute stuff is for girls. :furious: Finally found a cute outfit at TJ Maxx.

Two of the boys are spending the night at SIL & BIL's. :)

They are fixing the road around our block and they hit a water line (or whatever) so we've been w/o water for hours now. :rolleyes1

Nice pic, Kimmar. :)

Alan, :yay: on the cruise. And no, it wasn't Chinese we ate at Ponderosa. :teeth:

Elaine, yes, Junior is still on afternoons. He now works 5-4:30 a.m. :earseek:

Paula, I love cider. Sounds like a fun day.

Suzanne, I wanna go to DL!! :bounce:

Tara, hope you can relax this weekend.

Good morning gang! Thanks for all the hugs and good thoughts! Man this was a wild week. And the really sad thing is that it wasn't school that was causing me stress. Jarrod is not transistioning to school very well this year. :( What he needs is an iv of his meds before he wakes up so that he is a nice human being when his eyes open. By thursday I had had it and I was in tears while getting him ready for school (and what really pissed me off is that I looked darn good that morning, the hair dried perfecty, the make up looked good, and my clothes worked the first time....before i left for school I had to re do my make up and my hair was all gone where I had pulled it out :rotfl: )

We saw his counselor on Thursday evening and we have some new things to try, but I need to call his dr. and see if I can give him his meds on an empty stomach so I can half wake him up earlier and then when it is time to get him up he might be nicer.....the problem is I already get up 30 minutes before him so I can have some peace and quiet and if I wake him up earlier then I'll start my battling with him earlier. Also if it does work to give him his pill before he is really awak, by the time he wakes up he won't want to eat....he is already a scrawny little thing with ribs that hang out so i don't want him to lose any more weight. But am I making excuses for not wanting to change the behavior? Am I just worrying about things that aren't really important and therefore I'm just going to allow him to continue to control my life? who knows....so we will keep working on it and see what hapens.

I did, however, get a break last night. We had happy hour after work and I went (more like 4 hours) and it was a really nice break. I said at one point that I should probably go home and see my kids...and my friend Susan said, "Why? You've got pictures don't you?" :rotfl: I nearly choked on my chips and dip!! So she was right and stayed another hour!! hehehe

It's offical we are going to WDW this year....in fact going to make the final payment this morning!! woohoo!!

Ketchup:
***this is just from yesterday morning up to today....I can't ketchup or even remember what I've read before this so please forgive me!!!****

Suzanne...you're right I need your wine rack about now!! I don't even drink wine, but I imagine that absolute and Kalua would fit just fine!! Hope you find those tickets and that you enjoy your trip!!

Alan...congrats on your cruise!! I went to Grand Cayman in 1994 and absolutely loved it!!! We went the day before Christmas and stayed until New Years eve. It was fantastic!! It was our (my college roommate) graduation present to ourselves...we had graduated and taught for a year and were starting on our second year so we earned it! I went snorkeliing with sting rays, played in a reef, caught conch, and ate it all in the same day! Sting Ray bay is fantastic!! We also did the Atlantis submarine...that is really cool! The shopping is great and the rum runners are fantastic!! hehehe We stayed at an all-inclusive and spent lots of time just hanging out on the beach. Sorry no one can watch the kids! but hey....it won't hurt them one bit to miss some school!! (spoken as I just turned in my leave request to my principal for my WDW trip) Glad the cat came back!

Funny story about losing a living creature in a house....when I was less than 18 months my mom and dad woke one morning to find me missing. They panicked. The searched the entire house. The locks were still on the door, the windows were shut (it was a 2nd story walk up apt.), and they were panicking because they couldn't find me. I don't know how long it took them but they finally found me in the back of a closet sleeping in a laundry basket. I had been climbing out of my crib for a while but I was sleep walking and I would just find something to climb over and think I was back in bed! :rotfl: They found me another time in the bath tub asleep! They finally gave me a real bed so I could go back to bed on my own!!

Ketchup part deux:

Pam...sorry you've been so busy. I would can only hope to be able to embarass my kids so perfectly some time!! hehehe

Paula...glad to see you again....good luck with chris and school! glad Alyssa is enjoying her time at the new school!

Elaine...ack Christmas songs already! Glad your trip was good, I haven't looked at the pics yet! Have fun planning your WDW trip. I planned ours back in March when I was teaching but not doing too much!! hhehehehe ours is all set!

Kimmar....you glad to be back in school???? How are your kids this year? Your picture was great but what were they serving the lady on the end??? She looks like she was at my happy hour last night!! :rotfl: What ever it is I want some!! cool on being on Ellen's show!!

Sherry....so HopSing wans't your cook??? Darn! We don't have Ponderosa here...just Golden Corral!! yummy! I'm with you on the no cute boys clothes!! Finding clothes for Jar for school was either t-shirts or stripped shirts. He looks good in the stripes but I would like something a little different occassionaly!!

John....sorry you are having YPF server problems. Hope they get those worked out. I would come to see one but I live a little too far for that!!

Hi to Bethie, Karen (the new homeowner!!), Kimmie, Tina, and any onelse I neglected to mention.

off to get Ethan up. He is talking and laughing but pretty soon he's going to be squaking for breakfast!! hehe

hugs to all,
tara

Good morning eveyrone! Not entirely sure what we are doing today before the game, but for now we are just relaxing.

Paula, glad to hear that you had a good time. I love getting a good apple cider. We used to go to a place and buy apples as well. I hope you and Jeff enjoy your wine together. And woo hoo on the car!

So since you don't *wanat* to think aobut it... are you a bit nervous at all about getting on a ship? I totally suggest Boninie... take it once a day and no one I know who actually took it prior to getting on the ship had any trouble :)

Suzanne, hope you enjoyed the Chinese. When again are you leaving for California?

Sherry, sounds like you had a really busy day there. Sorry that the cute things were only the girls :( And wow! How many days a week does Junior work?

Great pic Kimmar! Who is everyone in that pic?

Oh and did my little reminder pop up on me and tell me it was your birthday? ;)

as lon as it is correct

Happy Birthday Kimmar!!!!

Morning!

Happy Birthday, Kimmar!! :)

Tara, wow, sorry to hear about Jar's problems with transitioning. :( Hope you can find a solution soon. :yay: for Happy Hour, though. :teeth: We have Golden Corral, too. Love that place!!

Elaine, he works M-F. Can't wait for the game tonight!!!

I have a cold. :( Not sure how the heck I got it, but its here. My eyes are watery, my throat hurts, and my nose keeps running. Blech! :rolleyes1

Tday is nephew's 1st b-day party (he turned 1 on 8/27) then a bunch of people are coming here afterwards to watch the OSU game. :yay: We'll probably order some wings tonight to munch on during the game.

duh I'm a moron....I missed the 49 part!!

Happy Birthday to Kimmar!!!!!

Thanks Sherry...have fun with the game and the nephew!!

now we're off to run errands!!

Morning, all! Sorry, to have been scarce the last coupla days. Brought some bookkeeping home from the CPA to do and been trying to get that done so I can get it back to them ASAP. Clients wait till the last minute to bring the work in and then expect miracles--the tax returns are due next Friday!!

Ketchup backwards:
Happy Birthday, Kimmar!!! Great pic, btw! So cool to be at the Ellen taping!!

Sorry about the cold, Sherry. I just stocked up on Puffs last week, too--want me to ship a couple boxes? Nice that you and Junior get to spend at least part of the day together, but that is a really nasty shift he has to work! Hope they get that water line fixed soon, too!!!

 Tara  I'm so sorry Jar is not "going with the flow" and I know just how you feel. I cried thru many a morning and many a counseling session, too. Hope a solution can be found and things can ease up for you.

Alan, I'm sure ya'll will have a wonderful time on the cruise! Hope nobody is affected by any seasickness so the trip will be comfortable as well as enjoyable.

I'm with Suzanne on the apple butter, Paula!! And I'll be by later to pick up a pie or two, as well, thank you. Nice timing on Chris' car--I'm sure he's happy to have it back! Glad to hear Alyssa is happy with her new school, too. That cookie tour sounds super. I've found the trips with "the girls" are so much fun!!

Laine!! Christmas songs, already?! Sheesh, we just TALKED about the Christmas cantata, but we don't have music yet. We're still working on Sept & October music.

Gotta few things to do before heading in to work, so I'd best get to them. We're going to a handbell concert with our group from church tonight and are really looking forward to it. I've seen videos of this group and they're FANTASTIC!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day today! :grouphug:

Tara, you sneated in on me earlier. I am sorry that you are having so much trouble with Jarrod. Of course being one w/o kids, I have nothing to offer, but I do know you will do what is best for him and yourself. Good for you doing your WDW trip! I wish I had mine all planned out earlier, but until recently, no one was really caring to decide on anything :confused3

Wow, Sherry, those are some really long hours for working 5 days a week!! I couldn't imagine having to work over 50 hours! I hope you enjoyed the birthday party and also the game! I'm about to take a nap before we go over to my sister's

Bethie, sorry you were working so hard on your CPA stuff. I hate it when people do things like that last minute on me. Enjoy the concert tonight ::yes::
Oh and yes, we did a Christmas song... we were all gawking. Our director joked with us saying that he wanted to do that just so that he could say he started early :teeth:

We went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then went shopping for Luis. We got him some new clothes for work for his birthday :teeth:

I hope you all have a great night! I am sure I will be busy so I'll see ya in the morning :)

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday....

I had a "spur-of-the-moment day" today. My plans were to go to a meeting at my office (meeting with my assistant and figured if we did it at the office it would be "official" so we'd get paid). After that I had planned to grocery shop and go home....NOT..... my girlfriend Judy (that I went to WDW with last year) called at 8:30am - she had no husband and kids at home so she came here *she lives about 40 minutes from me - went with me to my meeting then to the mall for shopping and lunch. We went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch (even had a cocktail - I had rasberry martini). Had a great time shopping. As always she bought more than me but I did use my 20% off Coupon at Macys to get myself 2 pairs of pants and a nice sweater for fall. Fell in live with some boots at Clarks - will hafta save up for those.

So the only bad think about my day was that I missed Alyssa - Jeffrey said she came home - did laundry and went back to school.....what a life!!!! hahaha.

Tara - on your ongoing effort to find the right "formla" to make Jar's day better. I'm sure it's definitely a trial and error process.

Elaine - are you sure you went to Cheesecake FActory?? I didn't see you there.... :lmao:

Beth - Hope getting the CPA work done went well...enjoy the concert.

Sherry - hope the sniffles don't stick around long.....Happy 1st Birthday to your nehew.

Suzanne - I'm churning the butter - check back with me in about a week..... :goodvibes

Kimmar....I am sooo jealous that you got to go to an Ellen taping.....but I guess since you are the birthday girl....it's ok!! :bday:

I'll probably be around for a while tonite - Jeffrey is napping in his recliner....

Hi's and hugs all around.....

Good evening gang,

Well went to run errands and ended up going to Busch Gardens for a few hours. They were only open until 7 and we got there at 3 so it was perfect. Long enough for the kids to wear themselves out on the play area, eat a waffle cone ice cream treat, ride the kiddie bumper cars, and the katapult. It was a great afternoon. Tomorrow we will go out and run the rest of our errands that we neglected today!! :rotfl:

Quiet day around here I see!!

Beth....glad you got the work done that the slow pokes brought in so late! It's funny because I think of you when I'm going through this because I know you survived with your sanity relatively in check!!

Paula....sorry you missed Alyssa today but it sounds like a good day anyway!! And you didn't see Elaine there??? :confused3 I wonder why!

Elaine...glad you had a good day shopping for Luis and having lunch out with him. Happy birthday to him (a little early but I'll forget if i don't say it now!!)

Sherry...sorry you are getting sick. I hope you feel better soon. I'll send some Nyquil your way!! yummy!!!

Gotta go check out hte theme parks board, I need to find out some things about strollers at the parks. I don't really want to lug mine this year. I love it, but it takes up so much space in the room and it is a bear to get on the buses and I'm really tired of lugging the darn thing!!!!

Have a good night gang!!
tara

Evening all!

I should be packing, but I'm a born procrastinator! Heck, I could pack in the morning, flight's not till 6pm!

Happy Birthday, Kimmar! No way you're 49!!! Enjoy the day!

Tara, I could fill the wine rack with bottles of rum, southern comfort, vodka, and amaretto for a better cure all for bad days. Thursday was our psychiatrist day-and she's been so good lately with working with our exasperation. Neil's got a new med (at least this one only cost 8.50!) to help him sleep. That's our problem-the child does NOT sleep.

Lainey, obviously, I'm leaving tomorrow! :teeth: Christmas music? Whatcha singing? Hmmm, I should probably load the Messiah on the iPod so I'm ready for the sing in this year. :rotfl: What cheesecake did you have?

Bethie, how was the Handbell concert?

Paula, that sounds like a mightly fine day-must have been picking up Lainey's CF vibes! I used to live across from an unworked apple orchard (thousands of acres), so I'd go pick winesaps and make apple butter each year. Yummy on english muffins.

Last night there was some excitement outside of work. Apparently, a couple decided to 'get busy' in their car-parked next to my assistant manager's car. One of our employee's dads came to pick him up, noticed the rocking car and pulled up to allert them that others were nearby. Guy looked right at him and kept going. Still going on when my assitant and crew got out there. I think she's still laughing that these people were going at it in a well lit parking lot when there were people's cars nearby!
