Good morning everyone!

Well, today is the big day! I close on my condo this morning, so in about six hours, I'll officially be a home owner! I have to run to the bank when it opens to get that big check (bye bye savings account), and then I'm going to head up to my new town to do a couple of errands up there (go to my new bank, and the electric company). I'm hoping to have the locks changed this afternoon. I'm going to do a few things around the condo this weekend, and start moving some stuff in, and then I'll officially move in on Sept. 9th.

Tara, good luck in the new school year! My sister is a teacher, and she does the same thing. She's starting a new job in a different school system, and she was just commenting to me on how much she has had to spend on things for her class!

Sherry, I hope that Julian makes it through the day. Hopefully there isn't something going on at school that he doesn't want to tell you about. How old is he now?

That's all for now. Have a great day everyone!

JellyrollsKaren

Good rainy morning to you. Ernesto is visiting us.

Karen,   On becoming a homeowner, girl! Just think, it's ALL yours. You'll love having a place all to yourself.

Sherry, poor fella. Hopefully, he'll adjust to being back to school soon.

Tara, this thread is worthless without pictures! Give Jar the camera, lol. Hang in there on the long hours getting ready.

Lainey, :wave2: Did you get some rest?

Alan, I get the feeling you've also done the 'send the faking child to school', only to get a phone call an hour later. Glad your princess is doing well!

We had the scout meeting yesterday. I have been a good girl, sitting on my hands and not volunteering because I have so much going on. Alas, Kevin's den had a leader and a committee member, but they haven't shown up or returned phone calls. I'm now a committee member. Kevin's excited that I'll wear a uniform, lol.

Gotta get this kids off to school, send a fax out, then go back to bed-it's dreary and that only helps the urge to go back to sleep.

Suzanne

Tara, I agree! We want pics of the new color! I am sure it looks great! Good luck with that long day at school too

Sherry  I do hope that works out for Julian... is he in a new school (grade wise) or the like this year? I feel so bad for him.

Woo hoo Karen!!!!!!! That is awesome!!! Enjoy your new home :goodvibes:

Suzanne, actually I slept in this morning. I think I really needed it. Luis left for work and I went right back to sleep
And good job for staying out of the volunteering jobs for so long... I hope this won't blossom into something bigger ;)

I need to go... I'll be out most of the day, so y'all behave ;)

Well, Julian had a meltdown this morning. :( This is killing me. I just feel like the worst mom ever. I know its for the best, but man, its hard to "make" your kid go to school when they are so upset and just want to be home with you. :( :( :(
I've emailed two of his teachers, to keep an eye on him, and let them know what is up.

Karen, :woohoo: on being a homeowner. That is great!! Julian is 10.

Suzanne, enjoy your extra sleep. :teeth:

Elaine, he isn't in a new school. He has never acted like this before, so this is all new to me. He insists nothing is going on at school, its just that he misses me and Junior while he is gone, which makes me feel even worse "making" him go to school. :(

Gonna go take a walk. Need to get it in before it rains again.

Sherry, you are not the worst mom ever, but the final judging doesn't come until the swimsuit and talent competition.

However, I know it is killing you, but I would assume the more you give in to him, the harder it is going to be to get him fully on schedule. It sounds like you are doing everything possible and even a bit extra by letting the teachers know what's going on.

So don't kick yourself mom; you're doing all you can. :) I do hope Julian passes through this quickly

Karen, CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm glad that Jellyrolls north is being finalized.

Lainey, I hope that your trip goes well, and I am sorry about your aunt. Don't worry, I'll look after folks here ::yes::

Tiara, if you don't get a consistant color, no one is ever going to choose you and you will spend the rest of your life hanging on that rack in the teacher store waiting for some principal to put you in the buggy.

And yes we do want pics because we wants the redhead pirate:

Speaking of pics, will Suzanne wear a girl scout uniform? :hyper:

Okay, I'm crawling back under my rock ;)

Alan!! :rotfl: I will work on getting the color consistent!! hehehe

I'll get a picture tonight when I get home from school.

I decided to take a 2 minute break before I head out to get my hair cut! I've been up since 615 and so far I've had one kid throw up all over the sheets I changed last night and the other one is having an anxiety attack (Sherry I feel your pain!! ) which is leading to the Oppositional behaviors and this morning was nothing short of WWIII in my house! :faint: After being locked in his room for about 10 minutes (complete with him turning on his Chicken Little CD at full blast and screaming at the top of his lungs) he finally settled down and I unlocked his door and he came out a totally different child! thank goodness! I'm just hoping that the rest of the day is going well! I hate to see my mom get locked up for running from the house leaving the kids because she can't take it!!

ACK! Gotta run gonna be late! I'll check in tonight after my open house!!

thanks for all the good thought on getting it done! I promise to make teachers look good tonight! :teeth:

Yeah I usually feel better after belting out We are the Champions a few times myself. :)

Okay, so after I scrolled through 4 or 5 pages of trip reports, I finally paid attention to the thread title and realized that you weren't doing separate threads for each day. :rolleyes1

So I had the pleasure of reading day2 and day3 at the same time.

I'm exhausted, and on behalf of exasperated hubbies everywhere, thanks for going the extra mile for dressing (Umm..not that I would ever touch a salad in the first place, of course)

Have you convinced your silly family that WDW is the way to go yet? :teeth:

Alan, fyi, it will be a BOY scout uniform! I don't fit into my girl scout uniform anymore. Of course, Ed wisecracked that he thought it enough to sleep with the boss, now he sleeps with a Boy Scout, too. :lmao:

Tara, in our house, it's the Willy Wonka CD that seems to get blasted out. What's worse is I end up singing "willy wonka, willy wonka" for the rest of the day.

Back to the grind...as you were

Yes, but the question is does he earn any merit badges?

And if any of them are for knot tying, I really would say that we don't need those details.

Willy Wonka here he isssssssssssssss......

1/2 hour until the parents are supposed to be here and they are already arriving in droves!!

My haircut looked great...until I started working in my room and began sweating profusely and now it has fallen and I don't even want to look in the mirror and see how bad it is. I'm getting ready to go put on some girl clothes (nope..not a skirt! silky pants and walmart shirt!! I did get out shoes that didn't tie so that is unusal for me!)

stay out of trouble this evening! Not sure if I will be back tonight...i'm tired already and i've had it!!

see ya later!!
tara

I think someone put on the wrong "non-tying" shoes.

They should have been these

I hope you still manage to keep going.......

Thanks, Alan. :)

Well, I got a call AS SOON AS JULIAN GOT OFF THE BUS. He didn't even give the day a chance. :( He begged me to pick him up, but I told him that I couldn't pick him up and he had to stay. :( That was sooo hard to do, and of course, I bawled when I hung up. :rolleyes1 He seemed OK when he got home, except he said that he was bored. :rolleyes1
Here's hoping no phone calls tomorrow, and no tears in the morning.

Tara, hope you make it through Open House just fine.

Suzanne will be wearing a boy scout uniform? Hmm...very interesting. :teeth:

Got to visit with my nephew today. He just turned 1 on Sunday and is such a cutie. :)

.....eats a salad EVERY DAY, and has been since November 2004  ...except for the times that he was able to come home to eat and find leftovers in the fridge..... [gluten-free leftovers, of course! :p ]

...nope, I'm the wife of a 'hard-head' and the mom of THREE 'hard-heads'.... :confused3

Oh boy, what a week I've been having!! Dave is on his business trip and I can't seem to stay home. OK, Monday night was dingaling rehearsal but last night was "playing" at work. Then today I get up to no internet. Talk about frustration!! Had to sing at a funeral this morning that ended up lasting 2 hours at church, then went and put in about 3 hours bookkeeping. Came home, did laundry, and still no internet! Dave finally called and walked me thru all the little things I had to test to find out what was going on, since the modem said we were connected just fine. Suffice it to say I need to put a guard of some kind over the power strip that everything is plugged into under this desk--I apparently kicked something loose.

Sherry, I'm so sorry Julian is putting you thru such a tough time with school. Hang in there, mom! I know it just breaks your heart right now, but he will adjust, eventually. It could very well be that there iIS something bothering him at school and he just can't quite put his finger on it, so he says he misses you guys, instead.

Laine, I'm so sorry to hear of your aunt passing. Was going to the pub with her a good memory or did you feel she was dragging you along? How was your day out, today?

Tara, hope the evening at school went well. Looking forward to seeing that pic of the new 'do, too!! Sorry the morning started off so badly, though. I guess it's better that Jar is able to vent some of whatever it is by cranking up the CD and screaming--at least he isn't drawing blood, breaking bones, or punching holes in the walls. Is E feeling better since he "decorated" your sheets?

:rotfl: Alan, my first thought was "we wants the redhead" too!!!! :cheer2: for Abigail! Glad she came thru with shining colors.

Suzanne, good luck keeping your volunteering down to "just" the committee member position! Much as I loved my years with the Cub Scouts and the Girl Scouts and all, I know how they can literally suck you dry. Hope Ernesto doesn't treat ya'll too badly. I understand he's bringing the wet weather this way, now. Just hope it's not enough to keep me from my dinner prep session on Friday!

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :cheer2: Whoo freaking hoo on becoming a REAL homeowner, Jellybean!!! Will JellyBear have his own room now? Hope the move goes smoothly for ya.

Yoo-hoo!! Paula?! Where are ya, girlfriend? :confused3 Been missing you! Hope all is well with you and yours.

I expect Pam has been sweating it out thru deadline week and that's why we haven't seen her, either. Hope you can come up for air soon, Pam, and come visit with us again! Maybe a  or   will coax her out.......

And just in case Nancy is lurking about, I been missing you around here, too!! Hope you'll come back to us real soon.

Gotta work tomorrow, so I best head off to sleepyland. Ya'll have a great evening and hopefully, I won't kick anything tomorrow and will be able to drop in again!! G'night, all!! :grouphug:

Morning!!

Looks like more rain is predicted today. And the high is only 74. Blech! Hopefully I can squeeze in a walk before the rain comes.

Beth, wow, you were busy yesterday. And bummer about your internet. Sounds like something I would do. :teeth:

Kimmar, gotta read your other trip reports this morning. I havea hard-headed husband and 4 hard-headed sons. :rolleyes1

Hmmmm.... Now I am too :p

Alan looking over everyone is a very scary thought to me... glad it wasn't needed ;)

Suzanne, I bet you will look great in that uniform... seeing parents in them always still makes me laugh though.

Yo Kimmar! Where is that link I asked for? I'm too lazy to go find it myself :p

Tara, how are the boys feeling today?

Sherry  I really do hope that today will go better for you both. This is so sad to hear, but sounds like you are doing the right thing!

Bethie, you made me tired just listening to you! Oh the memory, it was a great thing. She was one of four in my dad's family I actually knew and talked to. She treated me better than my own grandparents did at times. Sadly she had dementia at the end and just wasn't doing well :( At least Luis was able to meet her before she was mentally gone (which only got worse in the last few years)

I have errands today. It hit me that tomorrow I leave for NJ! We'll get all packed up tonight :)
