Suzanne, it sounds like you work for a wonderful place to stow it like that. I haven't 100% decided if I like my hair or not yet. Yesterday it decided to go very straight and hang funny... maybe a bit of a shock for the front... so I might wet set the wave/curl back into it today to help unshock the hair. It's chin length in the front and layers down until bra length in the back.

You might wanna try to blow-dry it straight and curl the ends upward....I have a straightening iron that also has a curling iron on it...spray some flat-iron lotion on the ends and just curl the ends up. Then, pull at the 'curled' ends with your fingers (spray a little bit of hairspray on your fingers) to make the ends look 'wispy'.....

Not much planned here today. Junior is having some probs with his back, so we're just relaxing.

LOL, Kimmar, if you knew me really well, you would know that blow drying my hair on a regular basis does NOT happen!!! I do have a ceramic hot iron that I can flip and curl with (it's only 1" for that reason). She actually styled it the way you said though, and it looks great like that. Though she did a mix of flip out and flip under, but the idea is very much the same. I just need to get my curl & wave back so when I wash and go, it isn't all funky.

Morning, all! Just got a call from the cable company that our internet service has been restored. Went down yesterday afternoon and it took close to 20 hours to bring it back. Just our luck, we don't get credit on our bill unless it's out 24 hours or more.

Too much to ketchup on--I need to head over to my bookkeeping job today. But in a nutshell......

No! But we do have a "black sheep". Speaking of family, I just found out that DB and DSIL had to undergo rabies shots in the last 4 weeks!!! They just finished day 28 shot on Monday!! Apparently, a stray cat attacked their dog and gouged his face...and when they intervened, they might have been exposed to rabies. They don't know for sure because the cat fled! But, the vet suggested it when their furbaby was being patched up!!

Awww... Kimmar if you met me face to face you would know why I laugh. Nothing personal, I am just not much of a girlie girl. I'm very much of a "natural chick" I do some make up now and then (though not much) and really my hair... well... it's just not hte type you argue with. It is silky, heavy, very thick and has a mind of its own. The closest I get is some light spray mouse, a very light hold compound and some protectant for when I do blow dry or iron my hair. Otherwise, it is wash and go... gel and anything with real hold never works and just makes my hair look icky. Too many years of fighting it has changed my style with it.

Bethie, so sorry you went that long w/o internet! Ours is nice, they do give partial credits... especially if it happens a lot. We had so much trouble after we moved that we got nearly the first 6 moths free! Of course we yelled at them a lot!

DD got her Bug on Monday afternoon! She is so thrilled!

DH and my Dad left for a business trip to Iowa this morning. Hmmm..... and wouldn't you know it, JRKaren is also away on a "business trip."

Heat and humidity is just awful here. DS has to head down to camp in an hour to conduct OA Elections. It's been raining/storming here all day, comes and goes in spurts.

I read everything but I'm just too lazy to reply. This is one of those EIOP posts of lilboo's!

Humidity was terrible here today (rained too) but fortunately it didn't get much above 85°

Sherry, I agree, lots of products really makes my hair icky after awhile... still thick and very straw like lookign with the build up. When you straighten, do you use something on your hair to protect though? FHI has this new stuff called Hot Sauce that doesn't leave residue like even my Chi stuff (which works tons better than the BioSilk). I haven't bought any yet since I have a ton of the Chi stuff left, but I know I will be getting it next time. Smells good too Of course with my really long hair, I am careful to protect it when I use the ceramic iron (even though that is better than metal ones). Your hair is probably short enough not to have to worry
