Hi everyone...long time no see.

Work has been busy, as has life. We have our hardwood floors in, VBS is finally over and we are back from vacation.

Morning gang.

sounds like ya'll been having fun this morning!!

I went to the doc yesterday and he kind of gave me a hard time about not coming in until it was over 30 hours since it happened I did remind him, however, that he was not in the office the day it happened. Once he got the bandage off the sucker just kept on bleeding. So he said it looked like i had nicked either a vein or an artery and until that healed it would keep bleeding. So his nurse wrapped my finger up all purty and then he gave me a script for darvocet and keflex because he was afraid of the possibility of infection. It turned out to be over a 1/2 inch slice so it was bigger than I first thought.

I had to go back today to see him because he said he wanted to check it daily until he was sure it was going to not get infected. The nurse today didn't wrap it as nicely as the one the day before. Because it looked so good today he doesn't need to see me unless it gets worse looking (not sure how it could look much worse!)

I did tell him that my next task would be to use the power saw to cut baseboards! You should have seen the look on his face. He said "You know those are more dangerous right?"

Oh here is a picture of my wounded finger with my lovely floor in the back ground:

Oh and the shot hurt a bit and my arm is a bit sore but it feels more lik I woked out too hard than anything. But i don't notice it after the pain meds kick in

oh and before you think my hand looks very fat from the accident...its not the accident...I've gained a bunch of weight in the last 3 months I started again today counting my calories so hopefully I will lose it quickly!!

Although my hair looks like crap since its too hard to wash with one hand so I let it go today and pulled it into a pony tail and it is severly lopsided!!

Pam...I'm sure the corn in DC is just as tall!! (okay so it was funnier in my darvocet brain than in print!)

Tara, the finger looks icky, so sorry you have to have it all bandaged up like that. Glad the shot didn't hurt that much... I'm still very skeered of them! Oh and I am sure your weight will melt off again, and you look mahvalous no matter what

I lost my "umph" today... so I might just go lay down for a while before I go out to dinner.
