Morning!

Boys don't have school today. I got to sleep in a little, since my nephew isn't coming. I do have my neighbor's DD, though. :rolleyes1

Thanks for all the b-day wishes for Junior. He had a nice day. :) He was tickled that the boys went out and bought him gifts. :) We went out to dinner with SIL, BIL, nephew and a close family friend. Had a nice time.

Beth, good luck at the dr. today. And glad you had fun at the food prep.

Elaine, best wishes to Elroy and family. How exciting. Any news yet?

Kimmar, :lmao:

Tara, yay for finally getting Jar into speech. It will be great for him. Jonathan was in speech for years and it helped soooo much. ::yes::

Nancy, sorry the DIS is still so slow for you. Its getting a bit better for me.

...whew, how embarrassing it would have been for your cousin to have to carry a "Elroy was here" sign on her belly once the baby is born..... :rolleyes2
That's good. :lmao:

Morning Ya Yas!

It's a great day in the morning. Sun is shining and weather is warm.

:confused3 Gee, where is everybody? Just because I could do a load of wash in the time it takes to open the darn DIS and get to this thread........
Okay that made me laugh!!! I know it is the truth, but just the way you put it... well sometimes it helps to laugh at reality

before I go on :teeth:

Sam and Jenny had their baby yesterday. They named him James Ryan and he weight 8 pounds 1 ounce and 21.5 inches long. Not bad for a baby that wasn't due until the end of the month! All are doing well :)

Back to the thread ;)

Bethie, I am gald you had such a good time doing the dinners! That does sound like a lot of fun. Best wishes for the surgery. I do hope that you will see there won't be much to worry about. I have known several people who had knee surgery and came out fine. Actually you are possibly in the same boat as a friend of mine. She blew her knee out while kick boxing. They did one MRI and couldn't see much due to swelling. So as soon as she gets the next, they will know what they have to do. She'll have hers by the end of May (they suspect) if they do find something they need to fix.

Woo hoo Nancy on booking January air!!!! I am sorry you had to use both miles and money. It does stink when the free flights are gone.

Lily, hope you had pleasant dreams! Enjoy your beautiful weather... we have rain for a while here now

LOL, Kimmar, they only picked that name to call him since everyone asked. My cousin is big into space and flight so they picked Elroy Booster to call him until he was born.

Sherry, so glad that he had such a good birthday! I could imagine how much he would be glowing afte the boys got him gifts too. He's always such a proud papa! Glad you got to sleep in a wee bit today too!

That's better than "Houston we have a problem" Which is what they would be saying when he hits about 2!! :rotfl2:

Congrats on Elroy...uh I mean James! Good size youngin!!

Ethan is doing much better. He is at least sleeping (the tylenol with the codiene we have left from Jar from a year or two ago is helping too) the poor kid is continuing to cough and he looks so sad. He will cough and then just put his head down and close his eyes like he is really over this crap!

Beth...I guess arthoroscopic is what they did on my knee a couple of years ago. It wasn't bad. A few pain pills and I slept for quite a while!

I think we (me, astrid, and another girl) are going to do a gift certificate for a food place like Suzanne's. We are having a Mommy Shower for this girl since she is having her second boy and doesn't really need much for the baby. This way she can pick out her meals before she goes out on leave and then use them when baby gets here.

Kimmar...i can't believe you didn't have some "random thoughts" to add to my random thoughts thread. After reading the picture of the day thread and some of the morons..uh I mean posters I figured you would have plenty of thoughts!!

Okay, gotta go look around and see what i missed last night.

hugs to all,
tara

Good morning.

:sunny: today, so off to garden I will be going. Hope to get it all caught up.

Congrats on new baby cousin, Elaine.

Ehh....$$ and air isn't bad. Gonna love a nonstop. It was half price and 3/4 of the miles  We learned some things though....only 10 free seats per plane and you can book 330 days out  No wonder there weren't any left....plus we weren't willing to shuffle our days and times around. (Dave and I did shuffle our time to get free).

Any one doing anything special for Mother's Day??

I'm glad to hear James arrived safely :teeth:

AA, you beat me to it! I was thinking if there was some way to track down an Astro plush, I'd give it as a gift to baby James! Congrats on the addition to the family, Lainey.

Yay, Nancy's booked on a trip. I'm on Delta's site myself, since I have to rebook my vouchers TODAY or lose them.

Bethie, the puff pastries are yummy. We didn't do the asian pork, instead did two of the beef filets with Feta instead of Gorgonzola (I can't eat blue veined cheese). Crossing my fingers that your surgery goes well.

Got back the eob's on my surgeries-aaahoooooggggahhhh! Thanks to good insurance. I could've bought a car with what each one cost!

Well, I guess I better finish this up and get the flights booked-Birthday boy is doing bag stuffing for me for my "Taste of..." event. He's feeling like he should, since we hired him at my store yesterday. :thumbsup2 20 years (almost to the day) after we met at work, we'll be working together again!

Suzanne

The rain started and I had just enough time to get the front and side part of our grass cut. Better than nothing.

LOL, Kimmar, I'm shocked I hadn't heard that one before :p

Tara, I so love your thought for the day. You really ought to share them here too :teeth:
I think that your g/c to that kind fo a place would be an awesome gift! I know my cousin wound up having a c-section after 26 hours of her labor going no where, so I think I'm going to look up some diabetic friendly recipes and make something for her and drop it off maybe next weekend.

Wow, Nancy, that would make the pickings rather slim for free flights! I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for non-stop. Actually though, it seems non-stop come out to be the cheapest here.

Honestly not doing a thing for Mother's Day here. Though I probably should ask Luis if he got a card at least for his mom.

Cute one Alan :p

Suzanne, where are you going with your vouchers? Woo hoo for Ed on the job!!! I hope y'all have a good time working together :)

26 hours? Who is the union representative at that hospital? Someone should be enforcing labor laws! ;)

Congrats on the lovebirds working together :)

Alan... *sigh* a little privacy please??????

;)

Trying to salvage supper after some mishaps (fountain leaking & potatos too old to use) but not in the best of moods now. At least Luis brought me some cookies :)

Hi Ya Yas!

Alan, I responded with info from friends.

Bethie, glad you've got the meals determined. Sounds interesting. From the experience of DH the arthroscopic isn't too bad. We went and danced at a wedding after his (I wouldn't recommend this). He's had other knee stuff too, and things went fine. Will be saying the prayers and such that all involved get it so good that you'll be running around all better in no time.

Elaine, sorry about dinner. Cookies!!!! Mmmmmmm! We stopped at pharmacy and then Starbucks. DH got me coffee and carrot cake. I ate it all gone! Mmmmm. Yay! for the baby. What a big guy! Such a great friend you are to take a meal over. I know it will be appreciated.

Sherry, belated birthday to Junior. Glad a good time was had. No school? Isn't that kinda close to end of year and how do they get off then?

Suzanne, yes, Yay! for health insurance. What a great thing that you are celebrating by working together. Does that mean Ed has left the post office thing or is it in addition to I'm wondering?

Kimmar, you have a cute wit! I'm always enjoying your posts.

We had another spectacular day and DH and I went for a bike ride. It is raining now and that will be the way of the rest of the week. I'm glad that we had a good couple of days and that he and I were able to play. Now the remainder of the week won't be so.

Mothers Day for me will be preping for procedure on Monday. Gonna make that man room a bit girlie again!
:teeth:

:lmao: OMG Ethan is hysterical. We were just watching Deal or No Deal and all of a sudden he turned around and waving his arms back like an ump would call safe he's running around saying "de o no de" :lmao: I literaly fell on the floor!! (granted I was sitting there at the time and just kinda rolled over :teeth: )

Then I chased him around with the video camera for 15 minutes till he finally repeated it for the camera. It wasn't as cute on the film as it was the first few times he did it before the camera got in his face!!

Had a nice evening...was my turn for dinner so we had McDonald's. I figured if it killed us then we could sue them!!

I guess I will have to bring my random thoughts here when I get them. :rotfl: So why is it your kid who hams it up suddenly becomes a mute when the video camera comes out? I think from now on when i want peace and quiet I'm going to get the camera out and aim at him!!

No plans for Mother's day. Probably lunch out and then catching up on the dvr shows.

No advice on the bedroom thing...I'm still looking for someone to fill the otherside!! (not permanently mind you!! :teeth: )

Hey, where has Kimmar's wit been today? I looked all over the boards and never did find her! Kimmar Kimmar come out from where ever you are!!

Gotta go finish gathering crap for the yard sale on Saturday  I've got plenty of stuff to take, I just hope someone will see the beauty in the stuff I want to get rid of! Anyone need any size 14 clothes???

I'll check back tomorrow!!

tara

Lily...another procedure? :( I hope they find out something to help you.

Beautiful day here. All the yard work is done :bounce:

Not sure what to do tonight....watch TV and read, I guess.

:rotfl: You are funny, Tara.
Did you see that McD's is going to have BaB happy meals starting Friday?

Sorry dinner didn't work out the way you wanted, Elaine.

I'm not sure my kids are into BaB toys!! But if we end up with any I'll see if I can snag 'em and send 'em your way!! When they are not looking I try and toss them in the trash!! (unless of course I want them!! )

Okay, so I haven't gone yet to finish finding junk and getting it ready. I will have tomorrow before bowling and then friday evening to do it! So i might just wait until then!!

Lily...good luck on your procedure. yucky!!

oh and elaine...you really need to stop taking cooking lessons from teh Tara school of cooking!! :rotfl2:

Well.....at least the DIS is a wee bit faster tonight.

Plans for Mother's Day? Umm....I'll be working. I felt my store manager deserved the day off since she still has a youngster at home. The other 2 managers are kidless, but they both had requested the day off!! I'm in charge of the schedule now, so I have no one to blame but myself. Oh and it looks like my manager will be leaving the store a lot sooner than expected. We thought she'd be here thru the end of the school year and thru the weekend the Great American Scrapbook Convention is in town. Corporate wants her in Texas in 3 weeks, cuz the convention will be there before it comes here!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!! Yeah, I know we'll be fine without her, but it won't be near as good. My recovery better be swift and complete after the surgery, cuz I'll only have a week after it before she leaves!!!

:lmao: Tara, I can just picture Ethan doing the "Deal or No Deal" thing and then clamming up for the video!! It's sooooooo typical!! Ya gotta have that darn thing running constantly and set up like Candid Camera to catch those spontaneous outbursts!

Laine, sorry dinner didn't go right for ya. Hate when that happen! Hope you managed a palatable substitute. Congrats on the new family member--I definitley like James Ryan a lot better than Elroy!!

Lily, you have my prayers and I'm sending lots of PD that this is IT!! I'm so sorry you've had to endure so many procedures and all the frustration that goes with it. Keeping everything crossed that all goes well and the problem can get solved!

BaB Happy Meals??!!!! Oh dear......there goes my vow to avoid salt......

Hey, Suzanne!!! Congrats on your new employee!! Glad it worked out and I think it's wonderful that you can do it!! We get the Filets with Feta or Gorgonzola next month. Not sure if that's one we'll try cuz Dave doesn't like Feta and is not familiar with Gorgonzola. LOL!! He told me the June menu here didn't have much on it that appealed to him, so when I looked at it, I couldn't figure out why--there was plenty on there that he's eaten and enjoyed in the past. Turns out, he was just reading the names of the dishes and he didn't recognize a lot of the words! Like Gorgonzola!! So, if he didn't know what it was, he decided he must not like it.

Oh yeah, not looking forward to seeing the EOB's on my surgery, either. Especially since BCBS only covers 80%. Sigh..........

 and  to all. I've got a good book calling to me and I must find out what happens next!! Night-night! :grouphug:

Morning everyone! I was about to post before I went to sleep last night, when Luis got whiney... so I gave up posting and went to bed :p Dinner was salvagable, but not the best in the world for me. I should've given up and just done take out ;)

Lily, I hope the prep this weekend won't be too bad for you! What a way to spend mother's day!

Nancy, glad you got everything done! Would you like to come here and help? You only have to work in the rain ;)
I didn't see that about the BaB for McD's... maybe I'll have to go there sometime this week :teeth:

Bethie, that was so sweet of you to offer to work that day. Stinks that the others who don't have kids wanted the day off too. I just hope that means they make a big deal out of Mother's Day for their mom.

Found out Luis was a good boy and sent stuff to his mom for Mother's Day. He's really trying his hardest now to see if they will warm up to us at all. They mostly ignore us and it breaks my heart to watch Luis get hurt so much by them

Good morning, all! Just dropping by to wish ya'll a wonderful day, although it's wet and gloomy here. I'm off to work--we have a shipment of 31 boxes coming in today. Not a very big shipment (sometimes we have over 100!), but I'm hoping for some new and exciting products. Any of you scrappers interested in the new Cricut by Provo Craft? We got 'em and they are fantastic!!! I'm hoping some of the different cartridges and replacement pieces will be in the shipment today.

Anyway, mad, mad love all around and a big :grouphug:
