Afternoon everyone! Luis wanted to see "Stick It" so I agred and saw it. Kind of cute :teeth:

Bethie, I hope you have fun with at the show! And I am sorry, not a scrap booker, so I didn't even take a picture in honor of the day

Nancy, that's a bummer about DQ. Luis liked it there. I might have to let him go by himself a few times this next trip. Not sure what ticket I'll get him this time though, but I am leaning towards an 8 day with options... still cheaper than a PAP w/ DVC discount.
Gotta admit ESPN zone doesn't appeal to me at all!

Sherry, sorry to hear that Jared is sick. Glad the wedding was nice though!

LOL, Suzanne, that might be me later on,b ut while the weather here is too cool, I'll be inside more often ;)

Dang it, I hate that pic of Ed! I mean not that Ed is bad, but the eyes... yuck ;)

Glad you laughed at that Kimmar... I totally think that Kiera is scary :p

Kind of tired, but will be heading back for round two in a while. :wave2:

:earseek: :scared1: ....:faint:

Just passing the DQ info on.....it has no appeal for us at all.

Headed to the airport

Hey gang,
been gone all weekend due to a sick kid. E's been running a 103 plus fever. took him to the doc yesterday and it's a virus and now is turning to the crup. yuck!! i've gotten no sleep so I'm tired, have a headache, and am grumpy!!
so I'll be back tomorrow.

tara

Safe travels Nancy!!! :wave2:

Tara, so sorry about your weekend. Poor E and poor you... I hope he feels much better soon

I'm so tired, so 'nite all!

if you don't see me today it is because the large starbucks and the giant soda didn't wake me up today! oy vey! I need sleep!!

so if the phone doesn't ring its probably me!! :teeth:

tara

LOL, Tara... my precious angel (Cleo) kept me up last night. Not sure what her problem is... so I feel half dead to the world.

I feel half dead to the world today... oh well. I need to check the weather to see when would be the best day to cut grass.

Fun stuff ;)

Morning!!

No baby today so I have a few errands that I need to run and I want to go to JCP and use a coupon that I have. Hoping to find some black capris.

Tara, hope E feels better soon and hope you can catch up on some sleep.

Suzanne, I did open the windows yesterday, even though it was a bit chilly. Trying to get these germies out of my house.

Good morning y'all.

I would probably never have gone into DQ but I stilll liked knowing it was there. :)

It sounded like a fun place to me.

We had a good weekend, including Lela's piano recital. Now she can finally start working on something new in piano lessons. ;)

Hi everyone.......it's me.....the prodigal friend.......

I guess I can sum things up by saying that the last few months I have allowed myself to be consumed with stresses - kid issues - and as such - turned completely inward and unintentionally left my friends and support behind. I was living a "if you don't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all" mentality. Finding it really hard to be cheery and almost feeling like I was leading a double life.

So here I am - personal life - me and hubby is good - kids not so good - maybe I am just too involved in their lives. Alyssa has been thru some extremely stressful times - I was afraid that she was slipping back into depression - she has decided not to go back to Albany next year - she applied to Ryan school and also the University of Rhode Island - she was accepted to Ryan's school but now tells us that she does not like the place and felt pressured to apply - unfortunately that put their relationship on very shakey ground. She is still waiting to hear from URI.
chris continues to be a source of great stress for me - he is currently suspended from school again - cannot understand why this upsets me so and just does not care - thinks it's no big deal. I swear I live my life waiting for next thing to happen - which really sucks!!

So I guess I've been wallowing - and not finding many blessings to count....

We did have a wonderful 80th birhtday for my dad.
I sponsored my godson for his confirmation.
I did have a nice birthday - my husband gave me a $50 Kohls card - Alyssa sent beautiful flowers and gave me a new Vera Bradley purse.

I am going to Albany for the day on Wednesday - to just spend time with Alyssa - and also bring 1/2 of her things home - she comes home for good on the 17th. She already has a job for the summer working at my office.

I know I should have asked for your support -= if it's not too late I could sure use some......

Add me to the tired list
Got to bed about 1....Taffy was glad to have me back and wanted to "talk" all night.

sorry E is sick, Tara, hope it leaves fast.

I have a ton of things to get done today, so no real ketchup....I need to get running.

Welcome back, Paula. Sorry things have been so stressful. Hope they get better for you.

:grouphug: Paula, never too late to ask for support. Happy birthday and good luck to your kids!! :grouphug:

Okay, a giant starbucks drink doesn't work to keep me awake. However, on the plus side the strep test was negative and the fever has waned some. Only 101 today.

Welcome back Nancy!!

Sherry...good luck at JCP! I only wear their pants!

Elaine...sorry you had a needy kid too! They really need to learn to let us sleep so that we are nicer the next day :teeth:

Alan...yeah for Lela's recital!! What piece did she play? My one and only time playing for someone other than my mom was at a school talent show. I played a sea shanty. It was good until this girl named Lilybeth got up and played the theme to Mahogany!! :lmao: it left my shanty in the dust. I never again played in public!! Now the only instrument I play is my iPod!!

Kimmar...he is a bit creepy. I'm not convinced that their isn't something wrong with him!

Suzanne...nice to "see" Ed again :rotfl: Hey, at your place of employment does the customer make the food or do you all make the food? The place I was looking at here you make a reservation to go in and make your dishes, they also do parties and take out but it costs more for them to make the dishes for you.

Beth...in honor of National scraping day I got into a couple of fights. I'm a good scraper!! oh, uh, I mean I scrapped 4 pages on friday night. I did the Mad Hatters Tea Party and Jarrod with flick and lilo and stitch. Did I tell you that I bought the quick Kutz now?? I really like it. I'm going to try and sell some of my sizzix sets this weekend at a school yard sale. I want to buy some more of the quick kutz. Right now I only have the one that came with the black handled one. It's okay but I like some of the other sets better. Now if Michael's would start carryign them I could get them with my coupons!!

 to Kimmie, Pam, Liz, Kristy, John, Todd, Amanda

Okay, have kids here and have to look busy and interested in them!!

tara

Went for a walk and picked up some stuff from our local Wild Oats. I normally don't shop there, but I admit it was just easy to get to ;)

Sherry, good luck with the shopping today! I hope you were able to find what you wanted ::yes::

Hey Mr. Tin Ear, would you even notice if you daughter played something different? :duck:

Paula, so glad you stopped in! Wishing all the best with the kids. It is so hard at times when family does things you don't understand.
I hope you keep popping in... never too late to get support from us

Nancy, sorry your baby was so talkative last night. Silly litle fuzzballs. Makes you feel loved though, doesn't it?

Tara, I so agree! Our kids all need to learn how to shut it during the night and wee hours of the morning. I swear!!!!

Been planning a little on the Disney trip again. My dad might be joining us now :teeth:

If a musical instrument doesn't have a little handle to turn (preferably rewarded with something leaping out of the little box) then it is too complicated for me.

I don't even know which end to blow into on a piano.

But I'm glad she likes it ::yes::

Now what's this about Lainey sowing her wild oats? Is this going to be one of *those* stories?

Holy :snail:

Since this place is slower than molasses, I'll just say hi!

I hope the boards pick up... boring when hardly anything is said on the threads you read :p
