Evening, all.
Nancy, safe journeys. The carpet will grow on you. Went a lot darker than I'd ever had with the carpet here, and I'm glad we did now.
Busch was great, we had mid 80's and sunshine. I rode SheiKra, and Ed took a pass on it. His fear of heights and the sustained hang at the top of the vertical drop make this a No Way, Jose. That said, I rode it, and the anticipation at the top of the 400 foot drop was probably the most thrilling part of the ride.
The best coaster in the park is Kumba. Wow! The coaser I remember going on in '84, the Python, is still a great coaster, but thrills have come a long way since then.
Of course, no Ed and Suzanne day without the kids is complete without a phone call of doom. Today was no exception. Neil apparently was bitten by a spider in his sleep last night, and he didn't mention it to anyone until 5 minutes before the end of the school day. We rushed to our day care lady's house, and I took him to the doctor.
He's definitely our kid-early cellulitis from this, just like his daddy and aunt. We don't play around with insect bites around here because of the cellulitis thing. Crisis averted.
Some pictures from our day. We did see some stooopid lady decide to stand up on a log flume and got SOAKED on the other flume like ride. That was rather funny, because the previous two boatloads got drizzled on. Nope, it was like facing backwards going down the hill on Kali River. If you notice Ed's shirt in one of these shots, he's drenched.
to give you an idea of how big this coaster is, that vehicle holds 24 riders in three rows. Ha uge!

The soaked husband, taken with the lovely swiveling lens camera!
One of the few things that I remember from '84 was taking pictures of the snow tigers.
