Hi Ya Yas!

Sherry, so sorry about sickies. Keep that lysol going.

Amanda, glad to have you stop by. Prayers for your journey.

Elaine, thanks for the warning...must stay away from those things. Staying ignorant may help, never have had them.

Nancy, Eeeyyyewww for sure. Those BaB Crocs are just the cutest. Not sure I want a pair for me though. Will miss ya today, but the boards bing so slow, you will probably kethup in no time.

Suzanne, a thief! Well, those that come over to you should be so happy I'm sure. Sorry ya hafta wait for the phone. I didn't realize Ed was a call-in kind of employee. I thought he just got it all.

Nothing going with me...usual stuff. Off I go...

I need to make sure I am "swim suit worthy" At least when it comes to shaving

Yeah, sometimes I need to shave my back before wearing a suit too.

Thanks for being the breakfast fairy, btw...sorry I missed it ;)

I'll just second Lily's Yas and Boos for a better ketchup :teeth:
You just did too good of a job ::yes:: and belated Happy Anniversary!

Suzanne, I'll try some fondue!

Pam, you want to whip up a pair of shoes for Lainey?

2 weekends ago went on an Emmaus Walk. It was great! Now just trying to work on what God has led me to improve for His will.

I have written notes for friends who participated in Emmaus Walks in the past, and they all said it was an incredibly insightful time for them.

Tiara, I just added my MIL to our cell phone plan. The added cost will provide more than enough minutes probably and it was cheaper than her getting a separate plan. More importantly, now she and Mrs. AA are on the same plan.

Now if we can just get her to leave the phone on when she is out.

Good morning Y'all!

Eeeeeeh! What the heck?! When did the days start flying by so quickly!?

Hot air balloon rides are so much fun!! Must do that again someday!

word has it that SOMEONE posted a great shot of Dorkboy in a pair o' jeans....but, you didn't hear it from ME.....
Nice jeans too... :smooth:

Hmm... since I am boring, maybe I ought to stir things up by stealing Kimmie's cabana boy
I haven't even had a chance to skim lately, so just saw this! That'll teach me to slack off on my YaYa lurking! :p Which one? Well, doesn't matter, you can't have him. You'll never find him. I've stashed him someplace terribly secret.... It’s an island that cannot be found except by those who already know where it is.

Dead mouses?! Ack, groooooss!!

Nancy, I envy the fact that your carpet decisions have been made and its on its way in. :p I thought I had my paint color all figured out until I brought carpet samples home. Now I don't know what I want.

Cute little crocs!! Wah!

I've heard wonderful things about the Emmaus Walk, Amanda.

Yay for wogging with new friends Lily! ...and a happy although belated anniversary wish to you and to Ted!

How is everyone feeling at your house now, Sherry?

Tara's comments about buying the cake made me laugh when I realized I'd read that somewhere else before... oh yeah, her tag! :p

Time Traveler's Wife. Oye!! The ending is heart breaking and oh so frustrating isn't it? Like you Elaine, I knew where it was headed when her brother and father made their discovery. Awful! I'm glad I read it. It was well written. But so sad!

bwaaaa!! those crocs are hysterical!!! Not sure I want to wear them...but they are funny!!

I've been playing with my phone all morning. I have finally figured out how to send picture messages. Once the novelty wears off i won't do it much but right now I have to practice! hehehe But I didn't realize that I could only send pictures to people on my same network :( oh well.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'll look in again later!!

tara

Carpet people aren't here yet :(
But window guy arrived early.

I hate sitting around waiting for people and having people walking in and out of my house :pout: :(

I am bored. Had I know it would be so late, I could have called and made ADR, but wanted everyone to arrive so I wouldn't be on the phone. Maybe tomorrow :(

But, the sun is shining :sunny:

Hope everyone is having a good day. Have fun playing with your phone, Tara :)

Been trying to be good today... haven't been sitting for long periods of time. So I know I've been quiet here today.

Great more dorkboy pics... *sigh* feeding fuel to the fire ;)

Nancy, sorry this hasn't been much fun for you today. I think next time you do something like this, get yourself a laptop so you can at least play online some while you wait. I admit my laptop is good for things like that, though I hardly use it now.

Tara, would you believe I have no clue how to do a hat? I don't even have double pointed needles to help out on something like that. I probably should get some so I can make a cute beenie hat out of some left over yarn I have.

Lily, being ignorant does help. I had never had them before either. Ignorance is bliss at times.

Alan  Those are cute crocs though.. the legs near the toe is adorable!!!!
As for your hairy back, good thing Mrs. AA is blind... though does she ever get confused as to which is the front and back of your torso? ;)

Um Kimmie, if he's hiding on an island that no one knows where it is but those who have been there before... if I have Orlando as my cabana boy, don'tcha think I could find dorky? Plus if he is there, he might be feeling neglected again. Oh what a whiny boy he is!

Well poop on the picture thing Tara, I was hoping to see some of those!

Might consider looking into Oct for our trip this year... who is going again and when? Oh and if you don't wnat your info out there for all to see (I get that way at times) PM me ;)

I realize my post is pseudo lame, but forgive me, typing isn't my strong point today. I've been doing my PMs in small batches, doing a line here and there. Making for a long day with that ;)

good lord its quiet in here tonight. I envy everyone with a life!!

We went to golden corral for dinner and then went to target. We had to return something Jar got for his birthday and get a different thing. So while there I bought some other junk  oh well!

Elaine...you don't need double pointed needles. For these hats we cast on 40 stitches on size 10 needles using worsted and sport weight yarn (size 8 if you are using baby weight) then knit whatever pattern you want for 4 inches, then on every front row start decreasing (knit two together) pearl as normal and do this until you have 5 stitches left. Then cut your yarn, pull it through the 5 stitches so you make a little circle in the top of the hat and stitch the hat up. Viola you have a micro preemie hat. You adjust the number of stitches for the size you want to make. We don't use a pattern for our hats, we just do what we want. The ones I've been doing I've done 5 rows of k1,p1 and then do the stockinette stitch the rest of the way. But i've done them with the seed stitch and with the k1,p1 all the way up. They are really easy and if you have a nicu or children's hospital near you, it is a great way to volunteer.

Suzanne...i forgot to tell you, i would love your fondue recipe. I have a fondue pot but have never used it. I would love to give it a try.

nancy...did the carpet guys ever show up?

Sherry...how's the hubby doing? Anyone else sick yet?

Alan...:lmao: with the shaving!!! that really is a scary thought!

Okay, i'm off to eat some strawberries and cream. I'll be back tomorrow!!

hugs to all!!
tar

oh, my trip plans are in nov. Nov 23 to dec 3. I'll miss everyone! :(

tara

It is quiet here, but I admit I haven't been DISing much since Luis came home. House is on so I am here on a commercial break

Thanks for that thought there Tara. I have some left over yarn and could easily stitch that up. Wouldn't take much time at all. I was thinking of the circular ones where there is no seam, but I guess if I wanted to, I could easily stitch those up and no one would care if it isn't "seamless" or not.

Oh and as for now I am going in Dec, but arriving on the 2nd. We'll see if that stays or not though.

Nancy, did they finally show?

House is back :wave2:

No time, but yes he showed up at 1...they had scheduled him somewhere else first.
He will be back tomorrow at 8:30.

Gotta run and get dinner and move furniture

Nancy, good luck with it today! I hope it all goes better than yesterday!!!

Today I get to run errands to check on homes. Otherwise another boring one here. I also plan to clean up what I didn't get to yesterday. Back is doing okay, so again I might be good and not be online as much.

Hi kids! :wave2:

Getting ready for DH's wiener roast/birthday celebration! (3 days early because DS leaves for NYC on Saturday)

Have been extremely busy with deadline - woohoo :woohoo: I finally got everything done! DS turned 18 last week and started getting his Senior pictures done. He will be a rep for the photography studio and gets all of his settings/proofs for free, 30% off the portrait order and also earns commission for anyone who turns in his business card and gets their photo taken there!

We moved DD home from college on Saturday, as well as the hamster and frog.

I've been reading/lurking and trying to get caught up on everyone's posts.
Mad love to one and all!

Good morning.

No computer time again today. :(
But at least I won't be waiting for an arrival today. He will be here early and I can settle in with TV tapes of shows missed and my book....and maybe the phone :teeth:

So, are you going to be around for awhile Pam??
Happy belated birthday to DS.
Have a good DH weiner roast/birthday celebration  That sounds kind of scary :rotfl:

I have to pack tonight too. Dave leave for San Diego tomorrow.
And I leave for San Jose :bounce: Anxious to see Kid #1.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning, everybody.

Headed over to Busch in a few, but wanted to say howdy do!

Hope the guy is on time today, Nancy. Agree with Elaine-the laptop is the way to go!

Lainey, don't forget those allergy meds!

Pam, for you! Have fun with the wiener roast. Make sure you've got the marshmallows!

Gotta jet-tell y'all about it when I get back.

Suzanne

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We had a real sentence today from Ethan.."I pee potty." woohoo!! He's finally starting to put his individual words together!! yippee!!

okay, back to your regularly scheduled dising...

Yeah, here is a pic of me at a race a few years back.

Of course, I've never had to use it to lash sea turtles together to escape a deserted island.

Pam, congrats on your son's business savvy. I passed out coupons for Tuxedo shops to get a free or discounted rental for proms, etc.

Morning Ya Yas!

Tara, yay for first sentences. I’m sure you won’t get him to stop now.

Nancy, I hope all is going well with that stuff today and you are enjoying your time. Enjoy your visit.

Suzanne, looking forward to hearing of your fun day.

Elaine, I actually took time to watch House last night. It’s on again tonight. I hate when they do things like that. I don’t always take the time to sit and watch and we don’t have DVR or TIVO and if we did, I’d probably not record anyway. I hate “to be continued…”

Pam, congrats on DS turning 18, the pressure is off now. He is his own man! Wheee, let the fun begin. Belated birthday wishes to you and him. Hope you enjoy the wiener roast to celebrate DH’s birthday. Hope DD gets settled in and things go smoothly for all. It is difficult to move back after one has been away.

We’ll be in the World Oct 26-28th flying out the 29th some time…haven’t booked the flight yet I don’t think. Eek!
