Kimmar, looks yummy!

Tara, PIC!! :hyper:

Elaine, I had a hard time seeing the computer too. This is the worst my eyes have been after being dilated. :rolleyes1

Todd, have you found your cat yet?

Alan, howdy!

Lily, very true!! I really could've helped Pam boost business!! :lmao:

Going to pick out my glasses tonight. My mom is getting them for me for Christmas! :bounce: So, we are going to Lenscrafters today after nephew leaves, then she wants me to help her pick out a gift for Junior for Christmas. :)

I promise to post pictures after I get home...but I will give you a good laugh...the kids think that I spray painted the white into my hair :rotfl: I had to break the news to them that they are causing me to have the gray hair!! :rotfl:

Internet was down at lunch and so I couldn't get on line.

Oh and I've been asked to by my AP to be a designee (person in charge kinda) at IEP meetings occasionally! As much of a PITA as I am, several people recommended me!! good lord they need to look out!! hehehehehe

gotta go torment small children!!

John, I am thrilled to hear that! And what a treat you had with the person singing :) Luis actually didn't want to see Illuminations this time because he said after last year's finale, he just wasn't ready to see boring fireworks again :rotfl:

Sherry, don't forget to share pics of your new glasses. Sounds like an awesome gift to get :) Oh and good luck shopping with your mom!

Tara, woo hoo for being picked for that. I assume that is a good thing at least ;) ANd I am dying to see these pics of your hair like that. Shame on those kids though...

Making Shepherd's Pie for supper tonight... just got it in the oven. NOt much planned otherwise :)

Got my new glasses. Love them! Took me awhile to decide. I was torn between 2 pairs. I'll have one of the boys take a pic tomorrow.

Tara, congrats on the recommendation. Can't wait to see pics.

Elaine, yum, love shepherds pie. :)

Gonna finish my Chinese and then head to bed soon.

Okay...here they are...but if they break your monitors don't blame me!! hehehehe
I took the first two with the camera on auto and then the last one Jar took. I also cropped the first two so you could get the full effect :lmao:

Good night gang!!
tara

Hi, all.

I wish I could sleep! Argh!! I took the last painkiller last night, and now I'm here with the leg doing all sorts of fun stuff. I've got an appointment with the worst doctor in the department in the am. Hopefully, my sleep deprived state will drive home how much this darn leg HURTS (and the fact that I had one script for the Darvocet from the surgery in March that was being used up these past couple of weeks).

Tara, nice hairdo! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sherry, congrats on new specs. Pictures, please!

Lainey, tell Luis boo hiss! That's my favorite fireworks show.

Caroline, bummer on the bad Yale experience. My tech director in college was a Yalie and the sweetest guy-too bad you didn't have the nice people with you. Enjoy Atlanta and the nice new job.

Paula, you don't wanna hear how little shopping I've actually done! My employer has a discount program through Apple, so now Kevin's list includes a shuffle (or iP, as we think they're too small for the full iPod name).

John, cool how you got a nice recital while at the world!

Todd

Okay, this really bites. I can't sleep because of the nerve endings, but I can't concentrate to even do a proper ketchup. I think I'll pop in a movie and hope that it will distract me enough. Is it 8:30 yet?

Suzanne

Morning!

Tara, love the hair!! :lmao:

Suzanne, sorry about the lack of sleep and the leg pain. Good luck at the dr.

Jared's going to see A Christmas Carol today at the Ohio Theater for a field trip. He has to get dressed up, which he isn't too happy about. :teeth:

Quick check in....

Work is busy. Trying to attend meetings a new assignment when possible. Current assignment wants to get more 'organized' before I leave so work is adding up. Doesn't help the current guy has only been on the job 4 months, so I think he is feeling a bit overwhelmed with me leaving.

Christmas cards should be out as of tomorrow. Just waiting for Todd's approval on the letter insert....FYI I tried to make it as Non-brag as possible, so if it appears not enough for some the DIS is the reason;)

Tara...I think you went into teaching just so you could get away with that look :rotfl: Thanks for sharing

Sherry...I plan on new specs next year. Can't wait to see your's. Do you do the transition ones. I did this last time and love them.

Need to get back to work.

:wave2: To all I missed.

Later!

Amanda, hope work slows down for you soon.
No transitions. I did them once before, but they didn't get dark enough for me. I have prescription sunglasses now. :)

Sherry-- :wave2: ..maybe I'll get new glasses next year.. :rolleyes1 ..That would be worse than shoe shopping..I keep my specs forever..oh yeah, found the cat..

Suzanne-- hope you get some rest..put golf on, it always puts me to sleep..

tara--i'm speechless... :lmao: thanks for sharing.

Elaine--that was like the longest amount of time i haven't seen her... :confused3

John--Would like to do Candlelight processional but girls would probaly never sit through it...thats cool about getting to hear the young girl sing.. :goodvibes

Alan, Lily, everyone else.. :wave2:

Good morning y'all!

Tara, I think that was a lovely hairdon't you were sporting. :rolleyes1

We did not have the normal children's activities/prayer meeting/choir practice at church last night.

There is a Christmas tradition there where the pastor sits in front of a fireplace in the fellowship hall in his rocking chair and reads the Christmas Story (note: not "A" Christmas Story - no BB guns involved here) to the children who are gathered about him.

His only grandson, a three year old named Trey, drowned in an accident earlier this year. In fact, our first visit to the church was on the weekend it happend. I have been very impressed with how his family has handled the tragedy and is honest enough to say that it is difficult. For that reason, he could not handle doing the reading last night. (and he scheduled an out of town trip)

So instead we had the Children's minister read different segments of the accounts of the birth, while the music director led us and the children in various carols. It was a good evening.

Mrs. AA and her mother are transferring her grandmother to a new nursing home today. The management changed at her current one and thinks have been progressively going downhill. MIL applied and received a job there so has given her notice and will earn a better salary and every other weekend off, so it's all good.

Do you all know how hard it was for anyone to take me seriously yesterday with that do?? :rotfl: MY kids were out of control...I'm sure it was because of my lovely do!! hehehehe

FYI...there will not be a letter in my christmas cards (if I ever get aroudn to doing them!) because i would hate to have to say all the things going on this year...my kid was diagnosed half crazy, my mom is disabled and sucked up all my money, I hated my job last year, working with crazy kids this year, oh yeah...did I mention my son is crazy? So I think it will be best if I leave the family details out of the card!! :rotfl:

Amanda...brag away in your letters. I enjoy reading them. Good luck with the job transistion stuff.

Todd...glad you found the cat...so is it out of the bag now?? :duck:

Sherry...I got my new glasses the other day and I get rx sunglasses too. I like mine to be nice and dark...don't want people to see what I"m looking at!

Alan...that is so sad for your minister's family. The escapades of your darling's at church had me in stitches! So not really over stimulated...just a full bladder! Hope the move for grandma goes well.

Elaine...so what's on the agenda for today?

Suzanne...hope the doc can give you some good drugs...heck if they can give 85# Nicole Richie vicodin for cramps you should be able to get something even better for your legs!

Gotta go do some work in the records room. I'll be back later!
tara

Hi y'all! We were w/o the internet for a while this morning. So I did my riddle via telephone and didn't bother to really post until it came back.

I had the vet appt for Cleo today, and she gained a pound in about 2 weeks. So we are doing well! She's going to keep on the steroids and go back in Jan/Feb :)

Sherry, glad you picked the new frames. When do we get to see them? :teeth: I remember one fool time I went and picked my frames right after being dialated... I learned to never do that again ;)

Tara :rotfl:
That is truly awesome!!! I loved the hair! However you should've smiled more for the pics... didn't youjust feel sexy with that style? :p
As for the letter, I think you ought to make one up. Someone had a really funny made up one posted on the DIS. My agenda today is to go shopping for cat treats and a few minor things, clean and then go to choir. Not much fun ;)

Suzanne, don't boo too much at Luis. He would rather watch Illuminations over any other fireworks out there. He just needed a break from it since it wasn't the full one he saw in Dec last year. I didn't feel the need to watch them this year either. Definitely my favorite though!

Amanda, good luck with work. It is never fun leaving one job for another. Oh and I am sure your letter will sound fine. I actually love getting those letters! Even the really braggy ones... they are just fun to read :teeth:

Todd, I take it you found your kitty? Gwen was missing this morning and Cleo has hid for over a day with me. SHe usually shows up at night though. But considering she is black and blends in the shadows, I figure I must walk by her hundreds of times, just never see her. We joke saying a blind person could find her quicker than we could ;)

Alan, who are you to talk about hair don'ts? :duck:

I'm up and at em, can't say I'm perky and chipper today. :lmao: I got a total of two hours sleep and got to watch Ella Enchanted and Chronicles of Narnia.

I didn't see the yucky doctor-instead I saw the two nurse practitioners (yay). I'm on antibiotics and they refilled my 250 mg darvocets. (Vicodin-for CRAMPS? )

Had a funny moment. Mitzi consulted with my doc (not seeing patients, but on the floor between surgeries) and the other doc as to what course of action to take. They suggested something that I find very painful and she thought moist dressing. I told her how I'd called my sister the nursing student when I couldn't get an ASAP appointment and described my leg and asked 'what would you do?" and sis said moist dressing. Mitzi laughed and said how smart my sister was. :teeth: At that point, majority ruled-three nurses in favor of moist dressing. I now have a note that says I must wear my crocs. I go back in a week and will probably be wearing the funky Unna boot again for a while once we clear up the infection that's causing the pain. What happens after that is unknown.

At least it got me out to Target for my scripts and I got a few presents purchased. The stockings are done and Kevin's set with the Santa stuff.

Lainey, must be hard going back to dial up after the high speed.

Tara, I haven't even bought cards, so you're ahead of me.

Amanda, I enjoy the letters when they're not 'we took a cruise in may, then toured the pacific northwest in june---a week in Bar Harbor with the clan in july' and specific minutae as to where they ate each night and what they had!

Alan, how sad for your pastor. I think he had the right idea to break with the tradition this year. Sounds like you've got a great church in that everyone else understands and the children's minister took the task. :thumbsup2

Sherry, awww he didn't want to look nice for the show? I'm in agreement about the waiting to choose frames comment you heard!

Let's see if I can get an hour's nap before the boys get home!

Suzanne

Suzanne, glad you got some pain killers and the like! I hope that helps you feel much better soon! Btw, what is a moist dressing?

Oh the phone actually is DSL speed, not dial up (thank goodness). Still I can even tell the difference between DSL & cable modem... far quicker. I have had the dial up speed on the cell before and that is a bit crawling for me, but better than nothing!

And since I will be off tomorrow to attend Christmas parties/chapel at the girls' school, I'm just going to take off the whole day.

So y'all have a great weekend!

Took the boys to McD's for dinner so they could spend the Arch cards they got at church Sunday. Then we drove around the neighborhood and looked at lights. :)

Suzanne, glad ya got your painkillers.

Alan, cute pic. :) Enjoy your weekend.

Todd, glad you found the cat. :)

Tara, new rx sunglasses are next for me. :teeth: I am in desperate need of new ones!

OK, here's a pic of my new frames. This is the best pic of the bunch, unfortunately. I take horrible pics lately. :rolleyes1

Tara...you crack me up! We have a neighbor who writes her letter in poem format. She talks about her 'family' (freckles, smokey, chester, buddy, rascal, a turtle and one other dog I can't remember the name of). You would love her tree. A friend 'snuck' into her house last year and took a branch and decorated it as a tree. It is called the grinch tree. It is cute. She actually kept it and put it up again this year. I would love to read a letter from you, I am sure I would laugh the entire time.

Alan...enjoy your day tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the picture. I love seeing pictures of your girls.

Could someone tell me why I let my girls pick out something to make for oriental trade each year....it just means work for me.

Have a great evening everyone!
