And since Lainey asked so nicely

Okay...lots to talk about so I'll take it in small doses because that is how I am best viewed as well.
Our trip to Myrtle Beach:
We left out on Saturday morning after dropping our girls off to stay with friends. Tara, there was no butt-sniffing going on between them and the other little girl.
It was about a long drive to MB, and it rained most of the way, but we had an audiobook and, with no children, the stops were much quicker.
We checked into the condo that the church suggested and opened the door to find little league kids fully engaged in a water balloon fight. Then I saw several college kids running amuck as well and realized it was spring break up there.
In fact, the front desk gave us a "Spring Break survival pack" when we checked it that included toothpaste, deoderant, and a do not disturb sign
However, the stay was very pleasant and there was not a problem with noise at all
We got dressed for Sunday morning. My dear wife ironed my shirt while I made sure I had packed the correct tie, belt and shoes.
I did
I just forgot to pack the dress pants.
So I went to visit the church in a shirt tie and blue jeans. But not just any blue jeans..these were my driving and going on vacation blue jeans. The back pocket was unstitched at the bottom and there were small holes where the pockets are sewn to the seat.
Fortunately, her singing went over very well. She was extremely nervous and self-conscious since this wasn't a local church. However, God really used her and the people were very receptive. She sang two songs that morning and then we enjoyed the sermon, visiting with the congregation and ate lunch with the music minister and family.
We went back to the condo where Mrs. AA took a nap while I paid a visit to the local Wal-Mart. I wasn't going to buy new dress pants, but I could at least wear better jeans to church that night. When I saw that their sales tax was 5%, I considered buying several other things, but fought that urge. The sales tax in Montgomery (for anything you purchase) is 10%
So I assumed Sunday nights were more casual and I was much more comfortable and confident walking to the front pew that evening when I heard a deacon running up behind me.
"Sir? I don't believe those stickers are supposed to still be on your pants"
Oh well...at least I removed all of the cardoard and paper attachments.
Needless to say..the people who were already seated were quite jovial and Mrs. AA will never trust me to dress myself again.
She sang 4 or 5 songs that evening and gave her testimony. She was "in the zone" with all of it (Thank you, God) and once it was over, she could relax and enjoy the vacation.
We said our good byes to our friends there, but will be retuning in November for "Jubilee", a missions conference/revival/all around good time they host each year.
Supper was large blizzards at DQ because we deserved them and we spent a second night at the condo before leaving the next morning for our vacation. (Next installment)
