Here's stupidity for you:

Jay offered to take Jar to Boy Scout's last night so that I could get some work done at school.

He calls at 6pm (BS started at 5:30) and tells mom that they are leaving because he (Jay) needs to regroup before he says something unprofessional and inappropriate. WTH???

Come to find out that Jay had put Jar in a time out and the leader saw him "cowering" in the corner and went and asked him if he needed some air to cool off. Now instead of asking the leader what she was doing or stopping her, he apparently watched her walk off with Jar and that pissed him off. So being the mature butt head that he is, he grabbed Jar and stormed out of the meeting.

He apparently percieved that she was a threat (if you were so worried why did you stand there and let her walk through a door without stopping her???? butthead)

I called the leader and asked her what happened and she told me that she saw Jar "cowering" so she offered him air. She then explained to butthead that this is what we do when he becomes upset.

The leader should have asked Jay what was going on, she knows that now, and Jay knows it. But geez did he have to storm out like a big baby and really make Jar obnoxious for the rest of the evening?? butthead.

I would have understood him leaving with Jar because of behavior and I would have been okay with it, but the way he did it was ridiculous!!

Oh and he mentioned in his email (I have to use email otherwise I'll call him a butthead to his face!) that it was really loud in there and the parents seemed to all be talking to each other or paying attention to the siblings not to their scout. WELL DUH!!! Haven't I been saying this for the last 2 months??? oy! Thank goodness I picked a much better donor for Ethan!!

whew! I feel better! Off to finish getting ready for school. Then I have a field trip today and then we have the doc appt. and I'm going to try and get our counseling appt. moved to this afternoon so that i don't have to worry about it tomorrow afternoon!

see ya'll soon!!

Morning!!

Not much time today, but just wanted to say a quick :wave2:

Happy Belated B-Day Betty! Hope you had a wonderful day!!

Hugs all around and have a great day!!

:wave2:

Tara...I was a co-leader for GS and I actually would say something to the parents. The parents understood and started to behave themselves. I did it in a nice way :thumbsup2

Liz...Hi, have a terrific day.

I am off to do a study for work.

OY, Tara! I don't think he wants to see our pack. Loud, butting into each other's things-but they really care about each other. I'll take a rowdy bunch any day.

Amanda, usually retail is the 1st of the month following 30 days. This is the first place ever that it's been my start date. I'm gellin! I think Ed's saying "phew, now I can buy her a christmas present since we're not paying so much for Neil's meds" I switched schedule today so that I wouldn't be so tired come Saturday...I'm going in at 3.

Sherry, good thing the nephew is little and can't undo what cleaning you do! :teeth:

Lainey, so who did Dad go with? I found out the other day that there's a web site you can use to swap your contract if you're unhappy. I would, but it's only 9 months, so we'll stay with the corporate rate and crappy service.

Gotta get the boys off to school...back later

Liz, I told Ed about what you called about, he was rather intreiged. :rotfl: :rotfl: I had to explain that the fun color would clash! :rotfl2:

"...I brought your HUNTING clothes along today, it's WEDNESDAY, you know...."

I need good thoughts today...the lady I work with that i've known for the last 14 years found out this morning that her dd who is pregnant (due in march) is headed to the hospital because she is bleeding. Charlene's dil lost a baby last year and now her DD is having trouble  I sure hope everything is okay. Oh and to make it worse her ds (21) was trying to break up a fight at the frat hosue and got his nose broken and he has to have surgery tomorrow.

thanks guys!!
tara

First off, thank you for all the birthday wishes!!!!

Beth - My laces kept coming loose...not one of those people in the crowd knew how to make them tight....Can you believe that? And....you are the Wonder Woman of Laundry....7 loads!!!

Sherry - Our vets derserve a free meal

Elaine - thank you for the kind words....I will pay you later

Tara - Is the headache gone? Lock downs are not fun...glad you got through it. I don't miss those scouting days and all the fun(sarcastically written)

Kimmar - The Big 5-0 is nothing....just wait until I hit the 1-0-0.

Alan - So sorry that your state doesn't have CIP.

Rose Mary - it isn't going down the other side of the hill that scares me, it is climbing the next mountain.......wonder who is on the other side of the mountain....now is that 60 or 70...who could we ask?

Suzanne - I think that today's 50 is twice as good as any 2-25 year olds. Great news about your insurance

Amanda - hope you can get some rest soon

Liz - Slow down lady, smell the roses

Not much going on here today.....just putting the house back together after having the carpets cleaned.

Good grief..see what happens when you try to help? (for the broken nose)

Tara, I hope all goes well with your co-worker's daughter.

Fortunately, my girls have not gotten involved in scouting or any sports yet so I don't have those extra meetings to go to ;)

I think Liz and Suzanne read the same thread I stumbled across yesterday before it went "poof" :rotfl:

Amanda, feel free to smack Todd for all of us. However, I have to disagree with his thinking. He has a much better chance of finding someone else if you wait until you are a senior citizen to take that last bike ride (now I've talked myself out of ever getting one ;) )

After all, have you seen those little old women starting to gather whenever there is a new widower? Bunch of cassarole toting buzzards..... :lmao:

Good morning to all. :wave2:

Morning everyone! I think today will be errand running day for me. Tomorrow haircut with a new stylist... this is getting hard to find someone I really like since Craig left the business.

Kimmar, to make you upset, I will have 20 years until I turn 50 starting February ;)

Sherry, what game is on Saturday? :teeth: Have fun prepping for it. We're still not sure what we are doing.

Suzanne, we are all very happy Sprint customers. They have an awesome store right by us and the service (both via phones and customer service) here is always good. I doubt they'll get us to switch. Plus not many others carry that high speed internet connection.

Amanda, I am laughing at what Todd said. In all honesty Luis just said flat out NO to me with one. So I doubt we'll have on in this household.

Tara, I am rolling my eyes at Jay. He could've found a much better way to deal with it all. Good thoughts for your co-worker's DD. I never would have believed this, but bleeding during pregnancy doesn't always mean "the end" So I will keep thinking good thoughts for her.

Betty, I'll keep my eye out for the check in the mail ;) But in all seriousness, if the next hill is anything like what my dad has done, you're in for smooth sailing at least for a while.

Alan, you are so wrong.....

Taking a break from cleaning, so thought I'd pop in and say hey.

Tara, sorry you had to deal with butthead. Good thoughts for your co-workers DD. I had bleeding with Jordan and everything was fine. Hopefully the same holds true for her.

Amanda, had to :lmao: at Todd's comment. Hope you can rest later.

Alan, your a nut! :lmao:

Elaine, we all have Sprint here, too. We won't be switching cuz Junior gets a 23% discount through his work. :teeth:

Betty, have fun putting everything back. :teeth: That reminds me, we need to have our carpets cleaned soon. :teeth:

Hi Liz!!

xoxo to all!!

I am taking my time putting things back into place and now shredding some papers that needed to be weeded out of the file cabinet. Why does cleaning carpets look like I have had a bomb go off in my house?

Tara - I am thinking the bestest positive thoughts to your co-worker and her family

Alan - How do you know so much about "older" women?

Elaine - have fun with those errands...actually I need to run a few myself but it is raining and very ugly outside. I would rather sit in here and snuggle.

Sherry - Cleaning, it is a never ending thankless job.

So does anyone have a good easy way to dust/clean silk plants?

Older women?

They don't swell
They don't tell
And they're greatful as...err..heck :teeth:

Or so I've heard. :rolleyes1

Actually Mrs. AA is more than enough to keep
a.) me from roaming the streets
b.) me in line
c.) my luv tank full
d.) me alive

Now as for the silk plants and dust..perhaps a leaf blower? :scratchin
Canned air (for cleaning keyboards and giving certain co-workers a "refill" by placing the nozzle in their ear)
Tiny little artificial aphids with dust mops on their feet?

Liz - Slow down lady, smell the roses

:rose: That is part of the problem Betty... I have been taking a little too much time with the roses :rotfl: Yesterday I went into slug mode....stayed in my jammies all day long....had lots of work to do and did nothing :guilty: then Greg calls and says "Let's go shopping...I'll be home in 20 minutes!" OMG...took a very quick shower and threw on some clothes and off we went. I did not get a stich of work done that I was supposed to. Now grant it, the work that I am doing right now is downright boring...I should have had it done last week at some point...well, last week came and went. So I promised to have this project done for work today. So not much DISing for me today. :sad2: But about the roses, Greg's boss sent the most beautiful arrangement of white roses, white lily's and white alstromeria. You would not believe how yummy it smells in here. And the flowers are just so pretty...but they are starting to get a little tired....I should take a pic before they all wilt. About your silk plants...there is a spray that you can get where you buy silk plants that I have used and seems to work pretty good. I have also been know to spray an arrangement or two with the hose....until some of the more expensive plants blead and ran....oh well, live and learn!

Alan, I am sure you could not have been reading THAT thread :lmao: Where you laughing as hard as I was?

Hey Sherri, sorry I missed the tacos. Were they yummy? I hate cleaning too....love the little breaks though. What's for din din tonight?

Hey Lainie, have fun running those errands! I have a bunch to do as well. I think mine nay have to wait til tomorrow though...unless you want a few more to add to your list :confused3

Tara, so sorry about butthead. Thinking good thoughts for your friend as well :wizard: Hope all is well with you and just think...how many more days? I am jealous!!!

Hey Kimmie  Whacha huntin? You look like you are all ready for sumpin! Happy hunting...and stay out of the trees...it is NOT fun if you fall out :teeth:

Suzanne...you know what they say about the drapes and carpet :stir: Glad you get a morning off! Hope you find something fun and exciting to do with your day. When do you start the new job? I have a very long wish list form your new place of employ!!

Hey Amanda, have fun with your study for work. Any word on when you will be starting your new job? I guess when we see that you are no longer posting, we will know that your new job kicked in. Enjoy DISing while you can. Are you doing a big Thanksgiving thing again this year?

Greg's brother the Dr. ....appears to be making a house call.....nope he has lunch :thumbsup2 Looks like Wendy's for me....and I was thinking a can of soup would be lunch. There are times when I  that his brother works so close to our house and then there are times......

Off to eat and finish what I need to get done.....

More later and mad love to all not mentioned... you are all in my thoughts

Hi everyone,,,,,,

Having a not so great week here so guilty of lurking...

Thinking of all of you though....

Hi y'all! Got my stuff done that I hoped to get done. Decided I wasn't brave enough for Walmart so I went to Target instead. Did you know they do NOT sell boxed Christmas cards? Yeah, neither did I... so I got stuff there and went to Barnes and Noble for the rest. Decent sale of 20% off and cards were under $10 for 20 so I am happy enough.

Amanda, I am sorry I forgot to say earlier that I don't have time to nap for you today. Tomorrow is booked too, but I can pencil you in for Friday

Sherry, that is a heck of a good discount from Sprint! I only get about 8% off with them. My dad gets 10% or 15% (can't remember which). He also got a bunch of stuff for free from them. They are one of the few that will wave the activation fee, so they keep us coming back!

Betty, it was ugly outside and tomorrow will be too. I will brave it tomorrow for the hair and going to GFS. Once I do those two I am done with any errand running for a long while.

Alan, you are horrible!!!

Liz, just tell Greg that it was sympathy sluging... you know I'm a slug, and have been for the last couple months. Just let him know my slug-like ways have rubbed off on you ;)
And I'll pass on the errands... it was bad enough to do what I had to do today :teeth:

Since it is so nasty out, I am now in bed with my laptop and two kitties... very nice way to spend the evening ::yes::

Paula, you sneat  I hope that things look up for you. Hang in there :)

Oh and I forgot to say, I heard from Karen... busy lady she is. Doing fine it sounds, and hopes to stop in soon.

Evening gang,

it's been a wild day here!

First...my friend's DD and DGD are both fine. Apparently she had a massive yeast infection and didn't realize it. Her mom was :rotfl: at the thought that the girl didn't know she had it. But hte doc did a thorough eval and ultra sound and pronounced both of them healthy. So all is well there! Thanks for the good thoughts.

Second...the doc appt. for Jar went well. We saw the nurse practioner and after lots of talking and discussing we decided to leave his ADHD meds alone and just adjust his anxiety meds for now. She also said it was fine to give him the ritalin first thing in the morning if i knew it was going to be a bad morning.

Then I asked my mom to call our counselor and change his appt. to today because tomorrow is school CEC night and Jar wants to go (I actually enjoy going with him so I don't mind). So we had that appt. this afternoon too.

The field trip was good..until my one fired me and then said he was going to call my mom and tell her how mean I was...so I handed him my phone and let him call her :lmao: everyone on the bus was almost hysterical. He rattled off how mean I was and then handed me back the phone. Mom said to tell him that she was very sad he didn't give her a chance to talk to him! :lmao:

I'm ready for bed now. But not before I do a kethcup and since this would be a really long post...I'll post a second time so it won't seem like so much!!

tara

Ketchup:

Betty...happy birthday!! yuck on moving furniture around for carpet cleaning!!

Elaine...glad you got your running done and that you can rest for a bit...everytime I have time to rest I feel guilty about it! And you are right that not every bleeding episode is a bad sign! glad yours wasn't that!!

Beth...did you get that laundry finished? Oh and weren't you the one yelling at the old guys to untie Betty's tassles?? I heard that the one she hit is suing her for it...he's told his lawyer to get him the breast offer than can give him!! :teeth:

Pam...how are the youngins? Has your DS killed your turkey for next week yet? I saw animal pelts today on our field trip and I thought of you and your road kill skins. I'm sure yours are much prettier than these!!

Suzanne...glad you got the insurance stuff worked out. I can't imagine having to pay for all the meds out of pocket! wow!! I need to pm you to find out where you work now

Alan...you are so bad!! but i'm glad to hear that your wife takes good care of your needs!! And just wait until your princesses start in other acitivites!! I'm limiting Jarrod to Boy Scouts and one sport if he desires. He doesn't so i'm okay. Ethan on the other hand will be in sports the minute he is old enough. He is ready to rumble!

Todd...:duck: I'm on 7 days 11 hours and 22 minutes...how bout you?

Amanda...hope you get to rest some! I'm going to PM you tonight my phone number!

Kimmar...what are you hunting??? Middle schoolers? I asked one of my APs the other day when we were having the "head banging meeting?" He asked if we really needed a meeting to bang our heads? I told him that we needed it so that we could all do it at the same time, so we could take data on it, so we could teach it identically to the next group, and so that we could figure out how to differentiate it the next time. He said he is working on the plan and would get back to me soon!! :rotfl:

Liz...you have permission to be a slug...i did it this weekend so you should too!

Paula...sorry this week has been rough. I hope things look up for you!!! When is Alyssa coming home for thanksgiving?

Rose Mary...did you ever get rid of all of those phone calls? you really need to tell the boss that you have dising to do and that they need to leave you alone!! hehehehe

Karen... hi there!! Come back!!

okay, off I go to bed!! good night!!
