Happy Birthday Betty!

Elaine you are right. Today is my birthday and Kimmar is such a smart person. I don't look a day over 50 but just wait until tomorrow. :scared:

What a wonderful day it has been....gifts, doctor, gifts, Target, gifts, home to clean.......tonight I will be taken out to dinner. I bet my gift allowance has run out by then. :sad1:

Elaine - just let me know when and what time and I will be in Columbus to meet you and Sherry :drive:

Sherry - Have fun with Junior today

Tara - I hope you finish your stocking in time for Christmas. I am working on a Pooh bookmark for my DS pooh: and then will start on a Piglet bookmark for DD.

Amanda - Insurance sucks!!! They never make any sense.

Liz - I will have to try that drink. I always have a margarita....and they are great :thumbsup2

Kimmar - You make me smile...love the ketchup!!! :rotfl:

Alan - You must have seen us marching before my tassle flew off and hit a few innocent bystanders in the head. I didn't know that tassles could bounce. Glad you had a good day with the girls.

Well, DD is back at school. She begins finals on Thursday and DS starts finals on Friday. Then they both will be home next Wednesday for Thanksgiving. DD will be home for 6 weeks :cloud9: and DS will only be home for Thanksgiving Day

Wow, I just missed Rose Mary......

Thanks for the birthday wishes Alan.......I need them at my age :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday, Betty!!! Welcome to "the other side of the hill"! ;) I've found it's a lot more fun on this side, let me tell ya! :thumbsup2 So, you didn't mention this year's costumes for the Veteran's Day Parade-- I thought you looked pretty darned good!!!
Cowgirl.gif
But it really wasn't fair for you to stop every 25 ft. to ask another Vet to help you re-tie your laces. Sheesh!! Ya gotta admit though--we looked awesome high-kicking in those red cowboy boots!!

Sorry I didn't make it back here yesterday. I managed to do 7 loads of wash after ringing at one church service and singing at the other. We did IHOP for lunch, picked up a few groceries and came home to work on Mt. Laundry. I had been piling up the linens each week, so I had 3 extra loads to catch up. I'm latching on to Liz's ketchup, since it's almost time to leave for ding-a-ling rehearsal. Good to have you back, Twinnie! I think a girls weekend sounds GREAT and I'm marking my calendar immediately. As soon as we get the 2007 calendar up at work, I'll put in for that weekend off, too.

Amanda, why do you have to buy your own syringes for your allergy shots? I've been getting shots for years and the Dr. office always provides the syringes, so my insurance covers the whole thing. Hope you can get it worked out. Personally, though, I think these health insurance companies only hire certified idiots to handle customer service. None of them seem to be able to think, much less reason!

Cheeseburger in Paradise sounds delish! None around here, either, but I bet we could work it into the adjenda for girls' weekend.

Gotta jet, for now! :grouphug:

Just got back from Golden Corral. It was only me & Junior, (picked up Subway for the boys) and SIL, BIL, and nephew came along. All veterans got a free meal and drink, so that is why we went. :teeth:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BETTY!!!!! :) :) :)

Amanda, hope you get the insurance probs worked out. They are such idiots. :rolleyes1

Elaine, I wish he would've had Friday off, since the boys were off, too. They had election day off on Tuesday, so I guess that is why they had today off. :confused3

Beth, wow, lots of laundry done for you. Would you like to come finish mine? :teeth:

Alan, :lmao: at the Christmas pic.

Liz, sounds like a fun weekend and a yummy one, too!!

Well, gonna lay down and relax and watch some TV. I am stuffed.

Hi y'all, busy afternoon/evening. Finally home now and relaxing in bed with the laptop, hubby and cats :)

Tara, sorry you've been fighting a headache as well. This time of year is rough for me with that. But think in like 10 days you'll be down in sunny FL and everything will be much better anyway ;)

Awww, Kimmar, don't say things like that about Betty! In all honesty she looks to be about 35... she's just young at heart and that reflects on her physically as well. I'm the one who had trouble keeping up with that gal (when the fibro was really bad for me). No way she looks near 50!

Alan, is that waht you hope Rebecca wears for Christmas for you? ;)

Amanda, sorry about your insurance. That makes no sense at all, but I don't think I understand how things work. We have really good insurance, but a shot I required due to bleeding cost us $75 out of the $190 charged... it was so that my body wouldn't build antibodies. Yet the ultrasound they did a few days later was $4 out of just about $300 they charged. One was more of a necessity than the other, yet we paid more  Both were prescribed by my doc... who knows why they look at some things the way they do.

Howdy Rose Mary!!! Stop in more often :teeth:

Betty, sorry that your DS won't be home for more than a day... what will he be doing during his break? I hope you had a great night out as well. Did your DH take you out to a nice place?

Wow, Bethie you were a busy gal on Sunday!!! What a way to send your day off. I think you ought to come down here and we'll all go out to Cheeseburger in Paradise :teeth:

Speaking of which, Sherry, just come down one day and we'll all go out. Or I could take a day trip to Cincy. I'm starting to get my energy back for once!!!

Sherry, that is odd they did it that way, of course we never get election day off from school or work. I think that if they did election day off, they wouldn't get half the help they do... kids get out of school "free" if they offer to work the polls ;)

Morning!!

Elaine, school doesn't get off for election day here. At least not my boys school. BIL's school had that day off. :confused3
Junior gets the day off because he works at Ford and the Union wants them to get out and vote, so they give them the day off. :teeth:
I might have to talk Junior into a daytrip to Columbus. :teeth:

...ahm jes' joshin' wit her, is all...besides, SHE reached the big 'Five-Oh' before ME..... :rolleyes1

Good morning y'all.

You would think the state that was home to Jimmy Buffett would have a Cheeseburger in Paradise but we don't :confused3

And no, Lainey...I want Mrs. AA to give me the bike for Christmas. :rotfl:
But we agreed that I don't need to kill myself until the girls get older ;)

Morning all! Couldn't sleep much last night so I decided to just completely sleep in this morning. Considering I was up for about 4 hours (no reaosn why either) I was happy to not get up early ;)

Sherry, I follow you on the election day off thing. I thought you had meant all your guys got the day off, not just Junior. I've heard some giving the day off at work for that very reason though.
Hope Junior can be talked into a day trip here :teeth:

Kimmar, how much longer before you are 50? :p

Alan, somehow I just dont' see you on a motorcycle. Usually geeky guys just don't mix with them :duck:

Not sure what I am up to today. Tongiht we are going with my dad to help him pick new cell phones.

Good mroning gang,

First time I've had a chance to get on the computer and check in.

So far the morning has gone well...we had an intruder lock down and some of my goons thought it was all a joke :furious: I had to explain to them what could happen to them if they didn't take it serious. The idea of getting shot didn't sound like a very good idea to them!

I have been trying to get Jarrod into an appt. to see a psychiatrist for two weeks and have had no luck. So I finally talked to his doc today and she told me that I could go ahead and call the developmental neurologist and see if he wanted to change Jars meds or if he wanted to send us to a psychiatrist. But it takes a long time to get an appt with him. The earliest they were going to give me was Jan, but then while we were on the line she found one for 145 tomorrow afternoon! woohoo!!

I just came back to this...I started it at 11 and it is now 1. OOPS!

I guess I'll post this and then see what i've missed.

tara

Getting appointments is such a hassle. Congrats on getting one so quickly.

They must be trying to deal with you quickly so they can move on ;)

Lainey, I assure you that I would look very cool. Especially with Mrs. AA on the back and her guide dog in a side car :thumbsup2

:wave2: All.

Not a good day here at work. I have a hard time dealing with stupidity :furious:

Happy Belated Birthday- Betti Sketti Welcome to the top of the hill. :teeth: I've only been here about 3 months myself and I'm gonna keep fighting to stay on top. Bethie keeps trying to pull but, I ain't letting go yet!

Darn work, darn phones! :wave2:

Howdy!

Yet another day off that I need a day off from!

I was so zonked yesterday (went in at 6am-yuck). Then my assistant and 3 employees took me out to dinner. Dinner was good, but service was S L O
W! We were there for nearly 3 hours. Came home and crashed pretty early.

Happy Belated Birthday Betty! Hey, 50 is the new 40. Must be, because I was told that 40 is the new 30 on my bday!

Yeah, so busy day-went over to PB to do my new hire stuff and was there much longer than expected. Kev had his cooking class and I ran to the mall to exchange a baby gift (w/o success) and picked up some more new shirts for the new job. It's probably good I was running around, the toe hurts when I sit around!

Alan, no sidecar for Mrs AA? Told Ed of your comment about the Christmas music, he realizes that he needs to TAKE STUFF OFF AN 80 GIG IPOD SO HE CAN PUT CHRISTMAS MUSIC ON!!!!! His is approaching full already!

TC, I love your movie quote!

Tara, scary about the lockdown. We experienced those with the sniper a few years back. The kids don't get it.

Bethie, We don't have CIP, either. In Frederick, we had this awesome place that was Cheeseburgers N Paradise, and the guy was sued (it'd been that for YEARS) and now it's Burgers N Buns N Paradise. Great burgers and ice cream.

Rosemary, just unplug the phones one morning. See how long it takes for everyone else to catch on. :lmao:

Sherry, score on the free meal for Junior!

Lainey, sleepless nights are a pain, but it's good that you don't have to get up at o dark thirty for work these days.

Good news today-my insurance coverage will start the first day of work! :cheer2: New boss says we're calling the carrier the first day to find out what they need to make sure we get them documentation for Neil's meds before doing the first refill. It pays to be upfront about these things.

Suzanne

Quick hi here... busy night... worked on getting good deals for my dad with his cell phone.

so very quick...

Tara, good luck with J... hope he gets re-evaluated or seen soon.

Rose Mary, I hate stupidity too... part of why I quit my job.

Suzanne, woo hoo on the insurance!

i'll see ya'll later!

Morning all!!

Been busy cleaning this week. We have a housefull of people coming over for the big game on Saturday. I squeeze the cleaning in while nephew naps and then do the rest after dinner. :teeth:

Suzanne, yay on the insurance!

Tara, good luck at the dr.

Elaine, glad you were able to help your dad with a new phone. I could probably talk Junior into a road trip sometime. :teeth:

Rose Mary, another who hates stupidity!! :teeth:

OK, gotta start getting the boys up and moving.

:moped:

Morning all...isn't it Friday yet. I am beat.

Tara....congrats on getting into the Dr sooner than Jan. What a stroke of luck! Our girls had a lock down last year. It is scary for the parents.

Elaine...sleep some for me today, I really need it.

Suzanne...great about the insurance. I know my company covers starting your first day of work.

Alan...I too have agreed to wait till I am older to injury myself on a motorcycle. Although Todd's thoughts are sooner is better then he would still be young to find someone else. :confused3

Have a terrific Wednesday!
