John, I loved that segment there! How funny that was!! I do hope it gets to air no matter what!

Good news. The segment aired today. I did a video capture and updated the video on the yankeepeddler.com website. It's not the greatest, but I'm still trying to figure out how to distribute a 300Mbyte video file without burning up too much bandwidth on the festival's website.

I took yet another day off from work today in order to be home when the show was on. Thankfully, no breaking news stories today in NE Ohio.

Since Sue and Sarah are away, I turned on the furnace to get rid of that nasty smell that usually accompanies the first heating of the year. I am tired of freezing my you-know-what off when I get out of bed in the morning.

If there is any interest at all, I might put together a higher quality version of the YPF video minus all the fluff. Just for my Ya Ya friends.

Pig???

Does that mean you are going to Richmond to "sow" your wild oats?

Ha! It's good to be back!

That American isn't half bad, but those shorts... dang boy, we need to tell your wife what you are wearing ;)

Tara I do hope you have fun tonight and this weekend!!!!

Woo hoo John! I am so glad to hear that the segment aired! I would love to see a copy of this one again :)

I"m off to a Third Day concert :wave2:

HI all - quick drive by with a kitten report....

Little Miss Harley is settling in nicely - slept all night in the bathroom - didn't even cry. Her little kitten hisses at Casey so make me laugh. Casey loved her - I think they will be great friends.

Well I broke down and told Jeffrey about her last night - he was not happy at all....but I just got off the phone with him now and he said "I miss you even though you're probably sitting with that cat on your lap"...hahahaha - he'll warm up to her I'm sure.

No pics till monday probably - he has my camera.

Hugs all around....

Ran to Target after my nephew left, then took the boys out for dinner at CiCi's Pizza.

Tara, hope you enjoy your night and weekend. :)

John, just watched James on GC. :lmao:

Paula, can't wait to see pics of Harley. :)

Elaine, enjoy Third Day. :)

 Alan. Nice pic. :cool1:

Howdy all.

In a bit of a funk. Had a great day at work, the usual, chatting with people while they were working in the kitchen. One of the returning guests and I talked quite a bit-vivacious, fun lady. Four kids, she was excited to see her eldest perform with the marching band tonight. She brought her neighbor/good friend.

Flash forward 4 hours. The friend called, saying that she'd been in a horrible car accident. Both arms broken and probably her hip, too. :guilty: The friend called to find out what she'd made in the kitchen-the neighbors were going to pitch in and get the meals for her. Apparently, the sheriffs would not let the friend take her cooler home for her (travelling in a different car-witnessed the whole thing-another woman crossed the median on a 55mph road), so the meals were lost.

I know a good night's sleep will help out, but right now I'm thinking of those kids she spoke so lovingly about and how they're missing the football game they attend every Friday night to see big brother play in the band.

Anyway,

Tara, have fun and SAFE travels.

Lainey, how was the concert?

Sherry, hope you enjoyed the pizza. Sleep in tomorrow, okay?

Alan, I'm skeered to open that picture!

Paula, I'm sure she was snuggled up on your lap, wasn't she? Enjoy your little furball.

TC, I'm off to take a look at the website...

Suzanne

Suzanne, I will definitely be sleeping in tomorrow. :teeth: So sorry to hear about the lady in the accident. :(

Here is one of the pics from the anniv. party last week. My uncle took this one and emailed it to me tonight. :)

Hi y'all! Back from the concert. We had a great time. Luis actually liked the other two bands (Hyper Static Union and David Crowder's Band) more than Third Day, but he was happy to be with me!

Paula, I can't wait to see these pics of Miss Harley there! I betcha she is a cutie! I am sure that Jeffrey will get over it. I am just so happy for you ::yes::

Tara, I hope you had a blast this weekend!!!!! (and didn't forget a thing ;))

Suzanne, so sorry about your friend there :( My prayers are with the family, I am sure that was a rough night for them as well

Sherry, what a lovely pic of the two of you!!! Cute dress and I love your necklace!

Thanks, Elaine. :) Actually, that is a top and I wore gauchos. ;)
Glad you had a good time at the concert. :)

Morning all! It will be a lazy sort of day here today for a while. I am going with my friend, Marc, to his HS class reunion (he and I didn't go to the same school, not the same year, but I still went to his prom... he's a year younger than me).

Sherry, I bet the whole outfit looked really cute then! And since I've seen a pic of you last (or seen you last) has your hair gotten darker? It looks cute!

I hope everyone has a great day no matter where you are :)

Good morning all!

Woke up to a chilly morning @ 37 degrees but the sun is shining. This is definitely my favorite time of year. I intend to finish cleaning the house and put out some fall decorations.

It homecoming for the high school today and in addition to the homecoming parade it's the towns bicentennial so that will make for a bigger parade. We are not a big football town here (hockey is our thing) - I had wanted to go to the parade but my lawyer is coming over to pick up some paperwork - we may be nearing a settlement from my car accident without going to trial. I think Alyssa may go to homecoming though.
Last night was nice - I made lasagna for Alyssa and her boyfriend - they went out for a while then came back and the 3 of us watched a movie - "The Worlds Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins - it was very good.

My "girls" are sleeping in the living room - Casey on her bed and Harley perched on the very top of Jeffrey's recliner!!

Chris went job hunting yesterday so I hope he hears something soon - he only has enough money left for 1 more month of car insurance - he got 2 tickets within a week too.....hands down he is definitely the poster boy for "Learn every lesson the hard way".....His counsellor told me that I have to "let him fall" because in his case it's the only way he's gonna "get up on his own" - man that's hard - difficult to seperate letting him fall from feeling like a bad mom.

Sherry - cute pic!! I want to borrow the necklace after Elaine does - hahaha.
Elaine - sounds like you had lots of fun at the concert - I will have to check out that music one of these days. Is your kitty arriving today??
Suzanne - that is really too bad about your customer....I hope she recovers quickly - prayers for her and her family.
Tara - enjoy your well -deserved weekend. I have to say that you school stories always make me smile and at the same time I applaud you for choosing this profession - you are truely a special person!
Alan - all I can say is 'Who was that man on the porch ?? " Seriously - you look very relaxed and it's obvious the vaca agreed with you - can't wait for more pics!!

And now - group Hi's  Beth, Pam, LIly, JR Karen, and all....

Enjoy your day everyone - I'll probably check in later - Jeffrey isn't due home til about 9pm tonite.

Paula good luck with the lawyer. I do hope you can settle with out having to go to court! Best wishes to Chris. I hope he can find a good job soon. And I am sure you will do great with letting him "fall" My parents did fairly good with that :) We all turned out okay so far ;)

I'm getting ready to go out with Marc... I really only have hair and make up to do. The rest is easy for me. Just going with a simple black dress. It is cold out, but hopefully the place itself won't be too bad.

Howdy,

Yet another busy day. Started with the scout's show and sell (popcorn, yum) then right into work afterwards. Hust got in a little while ago.

Looks like everyone's out and enjoying their weekend!

BTW, update on my guest: no broken hip, but both arms are pretty messed up. Both her and hubby's parents are there now to help take care of her and the kids.

Off to meet up with another DISer tomorrow morning and head over to BG. First time for the kids to head over there.

I though tI was going to have a Monday with the kids-while Ed worked (day off for the kids). He's off, too. Thinking we're due for a trip over to Mouse Surplus and the Bass Outdoor Store for camping gear.
