Pam...and to think last night you were proud of how I dressed! hehehe Well, since there were no good looking single men at the party, I was dressed nicely for my tv debut! :teeth: I told the girl having the party that she had a little too much excitment at her party for me and that the next party should include some single guys!!! I hate to waste a good tight sweater when there is nothing to notice it!

Jarrod said he feels better, but Ethan is still fussy. I'm wondering if it is his shot from last week. They said he could get sick within two weeks. But then again Jarrod didn't get any shots. He did however, tell me that Amber (girl in his class) threw up in a trash can last week  the joys of kindergarten!! hehehe

Tara,
I wanted to post on your thread about your outfit!
:rotfl: Did you stick out your chest and talk real breathless-like during your interview and make "come-hither" eye contact with the camera??? And your shoes -- all I could visualize was you in a total panic, running for your cell phone and tripping and falling in your spikes! :teeth:

My son hasn't been been feeling well since Friday - a little bit of a sore throat and an ear ache. DH says there is a flu going around!

It's always exciting when a classmate throws up in a garbage can, isn't it? ;) DD did that in either the 1st or 2nd grade. She was mortified, the other girls got sick, too, and the boys just thought it was great!

Hope all kidlets feel better soon.

JRKaren....safe travels and have a wonderful time!

I leave for the airport about 5:30.

Court or Honor was for a nephew ::yes::
It lasted about an hour. It was at a park. About 75 people of so.
The usual start with flags and seating parents and grandparents, pray, promise, etc..
The poor kid lighting the rank candles couldn't get them to stay lit, the wind kept blowing them out :teeth:
Other Eagle scouts recognised. I think there were about 10-12 of them there.....Geoff was one :)
Funny stories from other scouts about campout experiences ;)
SIL cried when Joey gave her the rose and a plague thanking her for all she's done for him.
Reading of letters (he got one from WWF :teeth: ) thought that was a funny one.
SIL presented him with a shadowbox she had made with some patches and stuff in it. BIL presented him with a wood binder he had made to keep Scout related paper work in.
Mentor pins presented. He gave out 3.
He was presented with a flag that had been flown at the Capitol building.
Presenting of pins to parents. His presentation of his Eagle stuff. His troop game lifetime membership to NESA.
REcognition of people that helped his mom. She gave out about 10 gifts. Joey gave 2-3 more gifts to helpful people.
Then the usually ending stuff. Cookout followed.

Just popping in to give everyone HUGS :grouphug:. Im a little bugged about something at kids church so Im not good company right now while I work it out.

Hope everyone is having a super spectacular day!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Hello.

Headache here. We let a certain child with dye allergies have macs and cheese last night and are paying the price today. I've got a headache!

Posted on the stalking thread that Photobear Sam had up, and someone on there implied that I could be tracked down because of my toppers. Oy, gimme a break. There's only one person who would have bothered me, and I don't think he'd waste his time any more. Heck, I've even contemplated going back to a listed number.

Not in the mood for a ketchup, but I'll be back later.

Well pbbbbtt to your uncle there Tara! Men, don't know anything anyway ;) But you did have me laughing at your dressed for your TV debut! Wouldn't you have been even more mortified had you been in your more casual attire? :teeth:

What shot did Ethan get last week?

Pam, we officially turned the heat on yesterday. I know I turned it on that one day, but it was for a short time, and kind of a test run of sorts... that and that yucky first run smell is awful! Though the house will not get above 65° from here on until nature allows for that to happen. We used to have it at 67°, but I don't want to try that this year ;)

Oh and good point about us not being normal :p

Flu though??? Not yet, I only got my shot last week  Actually around here it's been terrible for sinuses in general. Lots of allergy troubles for people who usually don't suffer with it :(

Nancy, sounds like a nice time at the Court of Honor actually. Cute about the candles :teeth: I hope you have a safe flight home :)

Suzanne  That would be a bit of a stretch with the toppers... they'd have to find out where you lived and then peer in eveyr single one of the bugs to see if tehy could find you. Plus you change htem too often :teeth: But it is kind of scary what stalkers will do.

Well we went to the mall to get Luis a hair cut and then his watch resized a little. We'll head back to church in a short time *sigh*

I think I am going to sleep away tomorrow ;)

Elaine...my uncle is not known for his tact!! Maybe that's why he is still a bachelor! hehehe

Ethan got his 15 month shots last week MMR and chickenpox shot. He got them in both arms and then i left him with mom while I went and scrapped with Beth.

Btw Bethie...I hope inventory is going well for you!!

No nap today. My eyes are burning but it is too late now to sleep, so I'm going to stay up and then go to bed as soon as the kids go to bed (hopefully, that will be about 6!!!)

:wave2: to everyone!!
tara

Sleep well Tara!

Those two shots really hurt! I had the MMR booster in HS (it was accidentally left off my physical as a pre-teen)... I hope your little one feels better soon!

Off to bed. See ya!

Morning, all.

Elaine, Guess we're used to Karen's morning hello. Glad she made the decision to go.

Pumped up all the bicycle tires last night and rode around the neighborhood. It was nice to do-think that will become a regular thing for us. I see neighbors with kids walking around after the kids go to bed-not quite sure I'm willing to do that, but a bike ride with the kids before bed is fine.

Have to run a few errands this morning before heading into work. Might be back later.

Suzanne

:wave2: Home but tired and have a lot to do. Laundry and house work for a couple of days.

Cookie monster will be joined by  6 new siblings. I won a couple e-bay auctions  See what happens when you get bored while visiting people. :rotfl:

I need to get going. Tired too. Didn't get home until 12:30...up at 6. Oh well.....

Bad allergy day here... one eye is so irritated it hurts. I might drug up and sleep this off if I can. Then hopefully to finish with some things around the house before I go to Peir One today ;)

Suzanne, sounds like a nice way to spend the evening (biking). Kind of mixed on the thought of walking/biking w/o kids as well at night. But hope you get to do it often in the evenings :)

:wave2: Hi Rose Mary!

Welcome Home Nancy!
Can't wait to see pics of all the new kids

Gonna go now... see ya :)

Hi gang,

well, I managed to sleep a little better last night (nyquil helped :teeth: ) but I had dreams of everything being out of my control. Guess my brain is still dealing with this weekend. I really wish my brain had a speed control so I can get it out of my head a little sooner! I guess it will eventually.

On a lighter note, do ya'll remember my attempt at skiing on the steps a couple of months ago?? (I think Elaine took a spill about the same time :teeth: ) anyway, for the last few months I've noticed that whenever I sit for long periods of time my lower back/tail bone have become sore. I was thinking I was just being lazy and sitting for entirely too long. But this weekend it didn't take long for it to hurt.

So I mentioned it to my mom and asked her if this could be arthritis like she has. Then she pointed out that had fallen on the stairs and ended up with a bruise across my hiney. So now I'm wondering if I damaged my tailbone that day. So those of you with tailbone injuries what do they feel like? I don't particularly want to go see the doc, cuz I figure there really isn't much he can do...besides its not like I haven't had my butt in a sling before!!! :rotfl:

Welcome home Nancy.
Hope you feel better Elaine!! yucky allergies..Jarrod uses Flonase..it helps him.
Suzanne...I'm sure I would recognize you by your toppers!! :rotfl: I'll just look at everyone with toppers in the world and I'm sure I'll find you!! Glad you enjoyed biking.
Morning RM!! You get a room for TG yet??

Gotta run and eat my lunch...Lean Cuisine dinner style. Even has dessert!!

tara

Morning, all! Well, I guess it's technically afternoon for ya'll, but I just got up, so it's morning to me. Inventory was a bear--I got to work at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and then finally got home at 6:15 this morning. The counters were not very bright, were VERY slow, and kept asking the dumbest questions. I had one ask me if they were supposed to count the sign that was on the top shelf of the album case  Glad it's only once a year!!

Tara, hope the nightmare you witnessed is soon a distant memory. What a terrible experience.  and prayers for all of you. About the tailbone thing--no there isn't much the doc can do for you. It's not like a broken limb that can be set in a cast :teeth: If it's really bad, you may have to consider sitting on one of those donut ring cushions to eliminate the pressure. For me, when I've been sitting still for more than an hour or som like at a movie, it starts as a dull ache. If I can't move around, it gets steadily worse until it's like a burning pain.

Nancy, glad you are back home safely and had a good trip. Sounds like you managed to put your time to good use!! LOL!! How many new kids??!!! I'm thinking I better stay away.

Hey, RM! Allow me to chime in.....how goes the room acquisition for November? Keeping my fingers crossed for ya and sending lots of PD your way.

Bad allergy days here, too, Elaine. Course it would help if I took my meds on time  but I didn't expect to stay at work quite so long....Take a day to just relax and I hope you feel better soon.

Suzanne, the bike riding sounds like such a great idea! Family time and exercise all rolled into one! Good for all concerned.

ACK!!!! Just noticed the time--need to shower and get myself back to work! Feel 'way too sluggish and would rather just curl up on the couch with a nice snuggly quilt. Gotta jet, though, so I'll catch ya'll later. As the kids say.....Peace Out!!

Thanks! Okay, you've described my pain to a tee!! I guess maybe I really did hurt myself in that skiing accident. It doesn't hurt at work b/c I tend to sit forward in my chair...but at home I make ample use of the cushion God gave me!!! At least it doesn't bother me during the day and I guess this means I need to get off my rear more at home on the weekends :teeth:

Inventory...I remember those days. We had to precount everything in our backstage and then the firm would enter what we had counted. Then they would do the stage. Thankfully, because of my other job I didn't have to do the late nights! Good thing it is only once a year for you!! My scrap book is calling to me, but I haven't had a chance to answer it.

Going bowling tonight. So I'll try and pop in later, but if it is another lousy bowling night, then I probably won't.

hugs to all!!

I think I will need help with names once they arrive and I decide if they are boys or girls.
$30 for them all  I will look no more. If Geoff had spider solitaire on his computer, I wouldn't have this problem. I had only gotten the little ballerina one before I left.

More house work to do :( :wave2:

I think that these two look like AlabamaAlan and Shep:
