Well darn! :sad2: Didn't know about the wearing red today! Too much Super Bowl talk. Don't hear anything but, that on tv these days.

Been wearing my red all day today, Stacy ::yes:
About to head to the movie....finally get to see my scary one :hyper:

Geoff had eye surgery when he was 21 months old. The lazy eye hasn't returned. He went from being far sighted to being near sighted though. Went without glasses for about 2 years before it went the other way.

:wave2: Hi Beth.....bye Beth.

See ya all later.....oh Pam, I think your DS has chosen a great profession. I would love to do something like that....but of course, I would pass out on the first call

Looks like somebody got a visit form the tag fairy!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL, Pam! Love your Gunny story! I didn't think dogs had memories like that. too cute.

Nancy, Stormy putting himself in time out is so funny, too! Amazing how intelligent the furbabies can be at times. Sorry about Taffy's leaking problem, though. What a PITA. Hope you'll be able to get that new computer! Explain to DH about the wonders it will do for your psyche! So your car got new shoes, huh?! They are getting sooooo pricey these days, aren't they?!

Karen, so glad to hear you were able to schedule your sleep test for much sooner! Sometimes ya just have to push a little harder to get what you need. Hope things are looking better now and you can not only get some answers, but also get some relief.

Bethie, I don't have dates yet, but it looks like I'm going to DC sometime the last week in February. I don't know if it's going to be for one or two or more nights. I'll let you know when I have details.
Oh no!! Please, please don't let it be the 25th & 26th!! Our bell choir is participating in the bell festival down in Chesapeake, VA those 2 days and both DH & I are going!!! I DO so want to be able to hook up with you when you are in town!

Caroline, you're working too hard!! Come back and play!! Thanks for the snow yesterday, it was lovely!! Little dicey coming home from work, but not all that bad. Sorry to hear about your computer meltdown, but sure glad you were able to get it fixed so quickly. Hope you will be getting some time off this weekend--you deserve it!

Suzanne, I think Southern Comfort is a perfect pain killer!! After all, Comfort is part of its name!! I can't believe we aren't getting any of your strawberries at the grocery store I frequent! I keep checking and they are always from Calif. Just not very tasty, either. That's Shopper's for ya  Guess I should check Wegmans--such a NICE store! So, ya got some new shoes and are going back for new flip flops, too?! Hope all goes well with the doc today and you don't get all worn out going back to work.

Ooooo, Sherry's got TWO teens now!! And attitude, to boot! ::yes:: it happens to the best of us. Sorry poor Jordan got overlooked by your ILs, mine like to overlook me. Oh well.....

Whoo-hooo, Amanda! How are things going without the big boss around?! Sorry Mandy gets overlooked on her b'day, too. Sigh......I don't understand why some people just don't care enough to make just that little effort to make a child happy.

Feeling somewhat better today, Deena?! What a crock that math teacher handed you over Matthew's absence! Too bad he couldn't throw up on cue on the teacher's shoes or something. Good grief!! And good luck with Evan and the eye doc today. Glad someone caught it early! Never had any of that in my family and the stories I've read here show me just how frustrating it can be!! And I think DL in '06 for the boys' graduation is an excellent idea! They will LOVE it (and you will too!!!)

I want to talk to my admin person but I don't want it to come across as being a tattle tale...
Tara, I know exactly what you mean!! Maybe next time you get asked to do something, you could suggest they ask your friend? Really a difficult situation when someone isn't carrying their share of the load.

..............to be continued

Hi!

 See what ya all did! I liked my old tags better.....
No Yankee one anymore :(
No Master Baker anymore :(
Charm detective....well that one is alright to be gone.
Maybe I should just erase them all :(
I'm sad now.....but headed out to my scary movie now

:rotfl: The tag fairy is on a roll...................Better watch your P's & Q's YaYa's. I think it's cute Nancy! :cool1:
Yeehaw! Almost time to cut loose. Hope the traffic isn't too bad!

Nancy must be sucking up to the Tag Fairies and slipping them some cookies - cause her banana tag is gone!! :rotfl2:

Hmmmm..... no one ever comments on my frozen bananas..... :confused3

Deena - hope the school situation works out for you. :guilty:

Having "issues" with the one computer - had a power surge and it took me almost 3 hours for it to reboot. :guilty: I have a tension neckache right now....

I posted on the regular board but does anyone know why it says I may NOT post attachments? I really wanted to show a pic of my niece for you all here.Thanks..
Stacy, did you get your answer? I don't think anyone is allowed to post attachments--I know I can't. But putting a pic in your post is allowed and not all that hard. Ya just have to have someplace to host it--like Imagestation or something. If it's easier for you, email the pic to me and I'll host it on our webspace and post it for ya. Glad your company left and you got some peace and quiet!!

Sherry got some quiet time yesterday, too!! Whoo-hoooo!!!

  Jellybean got her DSL!!! Oh, that was last night.....today is a different story, huh?! Hope things get worked out quickly for ya. High-speed is soooooooo much better!!!

Aww, Lily! What a shame that no one bothered to tell your Mom how to use the testing kit. Did you two get it all figured out? Sorry you have been hit with so much lately. Sigh.......sometimes it just all comes down at once, doesn't it? Makes ya  Hope the weekend will be much better for you!

Rose Mary, I'm so glad you had good weather for your little jaunt out of town! Just make SURE you spend plenty of time at the BaB booth, when you go downtown!! It's only fair, since you are making such a huge sacrifice and putting up with all the crowds to take your DS to the NFL experience!! Hope deserves a new outfit, at least! Or maybe even a sibling or a pet??!!!!

I got no excursion advice for ya, either, Todd. :confused3 but I've always wanted to swim with the dolphins!! I say do a few that you can afford and save a few ideas for the next cruise. Ya don't want to do everything all at once!

Suzanne, I hear ya, bigtime!! I SOOOOOO want a hands-free cordless phone for home!! Having the headset for my cell has me sooooo spoiled.

Paula, when my ADHD son failed gym for the first time, I was irate! I mean, how the HECK can a child fail gym??!! Turned out that he couldn't remember the combination for his gym locker and wasn't dressing out for class. Glad to hear your DS is showing improvement in all those other classes! :cheer2: :cheer2: Tell him Ya Ya Auntie Beth says GREAT going!! I know how hard it can be for him. And YAY too for your DD!! All above 90 except AP Stats is WONDERFUL!!!! Glad your car is OK and hope the friend's car isn't too bad. Boo-hiss on 4 hrs waiting time for the car, though. At least it's done now.

I didn't know about the red today, either, Stacy. Sorry.......OH!! But I DID watch the Happy Days Reunion last night! It was GREAT to see all those folks again. Some look a little worse for wear, but then, so do I after 30 years!! I prefer Scott Baio without the beard, Marion Ross really ought to tone down the red, and Ron cracks me up when he takes off his hat! I never knew about the softball team, either. Sooooo cool!!

What's with the new tags??!!! I have NEVER been tagged except for when the Tag Fairies first got started, I begged and got "ENGAGE". Got the Ya Ya tag when a former sister posted to the fairies about it. That was over 3 years ago........I guess I never say anything interesting. :sad2: Oh well, and now we have a bunch of Ya Yas who need Sister tags, too. Sigh........
and now MY bananas have quit dancing too. Grumble.....grumble.....

:rotfl: Pam's Disco guy has backup singers!!! Tooooooo funny!!!

Is it time to go home yet?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE!

Hey all,

Glad this week is over. Been a rough one. I'm not good company tonight so I will keep this short. I'm pretty down in the dumps. Please say a little financial prayer for us. Things are very rough for us right now. Suffices to say dh is preparing the extra vehicle to sell over the weekend. We wont get much but it's better than where we are right now and it will also save us on our car insurance.

Gonna run and start dinner.

HUGS TO ALL!!!

Sorry things are not going well over there Karen.

Well the dr said Evan does have a lazy eye and my little guy will be wearing glasses for the next few years. He is hoping it will correct but the time Evan is 7 or 8. I also found out Evan is far sighted--which I thought was funny since dh is near sighted---very near sighted! Once they numbed his eye though you could see the right one really turn in a lot. So atleast we caught it before he had any sight damage.

Deena Im glad they caught it early and can possibly correct it with glasses. I will be saying prayers for Evan.

no time to ketchup now, but had to say

 :love2:Tag fairy, I LOVE you!!
Thank you for fixing my tag. I am happy for several more years now (guess the tag fairy likes to read the Yaya gossip and talking :teeth: ).

Hello everyone!

My DSL is up and running again. Hopefully it won't go away when I shut off my computer again tonight. Everyone please send out a wish that my DSL stays working.

After dealing with my DSL issues, I'm not up for a big long ketchup, so I'm just going to say a few things really quick:

Rose Mary, thanks for poting out that I have my eye ailments confused. Guess that gives me another excuse to dump the eye doctor I went to the last time. I told him I had a lazy eye, and he made a big deal and called it stabismus. Moron.

Nancy, I think that frozen banana tag is pretty funny. I think the tag fairy has a great sense of humor! Long live the tag fairy! (even if he/she did take away Liz's tag about wanting to be just like JellyrollsKaren).

Pam, I like the dancing guy with the dancing bananas around him! I think you should name your dancing guys!

Deena, hope that the glasses help Evan! I hope that he keeps them on, too.

That's all for now.

JellyrollsKaren

Lots of ppl refer to strabismus as Lazy eye--myself included. Evan does not have any sight loss in his eye, just one of his muscles needs to be strengthened to keep his eye forward.

Just swinging in to say "Hey".

Eeeep! What did Nancy's tag say? :( What'd I miss? Well, at any rate, I'm glad you're happy with it now! :)

Suzanne's Dennis Quaid comment made me giggle. I'm glad the TF found it tag worthy! :p

Frozen bananas? Hey!! Okay this is just completely bizarre!!! I was about to say, I've never seen him freeze, and the instant I typed the words "frozen bananas", he froze over in the little smilie menu!! What the heck?!?! Did he see me type that? I think he's teasing me. He's such a flirt.

Lily, didn't a dr. or a nurse instruct your mom?! Poor thing! That just doesn't seem right!

Hey to Caroline, (I hope those computer troubles are behind you. I missed seeing you here!!) to Bethie, (is boy genius behaving this week?) and to Nancy! Yay for the scrapbook room coming together! Are you working out of it yet?

Hi'ya Tara, super bowl party! Sounds fun! I wouldn't know the Super Bowl from a sugar bowl, but any excuse to have a good time sounds good to me!

Karen, I hope the sleep test helps provide some answers. Hang in there girl. I'm sorry you're having a rough week. Prayers are headed out!

The unthinkable has happened. I've been sucked into American Idol!

Sherry and Amanda, serious boos to the people not acknowledging the birthdays of your little ones.!!

Karen, fingers crossed that the DSL does its thing tomorrow!!

Deena, how is everyone feeling? Dopey teacher comments concerning Matthew's work! Geez! I'm glad to know they diagnosed your little Evan at at a young age. Hopefully that will help make things easier for him in the long run.

Hi to Paula... Sounds like the kids are doing A-OK with those grades! Kudos to them! Mine needs to bring up his math grade. Math... nasty little four letter word.

I have nothing interesting to say. Must do something to liven up me wee life. I know! I'll do the wave... :thewave: Woooooo! Now wasn't that exciting? Yawn.

Hi Ya Yas! Whoa, it was a busy day here today. How wonderful.
Todd, no help here either on the cruise thing. Sorry.
JRKaren, glad you got your DSL thingy fixed for the day. I hope it continues to be good.
RM, that is great news about the Superbowl event. BaB, seems like you will be having some shopping going on too.
Paula, sorry about that gym thing. The let some kids around here take gym in summer. It seems like many enjoy that much better than during school year.
Tara, Super bowl party tonight?
Suzanne, hope you had a good first day back at work.
Beth, you had a great ketchup there.
Nancy, glad you got the tags the way you want them.
Deena, sorry about school being so insensitive. We had something similar when DS was off with pneumonia the school sent us a nasty gram about excessive absence. Other kids they send encouraging cards and things. We got the nasty letter and they knew why DS was off as we gave reason for absence. Go figure.
Karen, hope you get things sorted soon.
Caroline, well work getting in the way of DIS how could that be?

Missed the Happy Days reunion. Wonder if they will have a repeat. I watched the Apprentice though. Tonight the finger sticking went a bit better and the reading was 88. Much better. We did have to poke twice as she had an error reading on the first try. Sigh. I think I need to get her "fancy bandaids" and when I take her back to the doc I am going to take her with bandaids on all her fingers. It's a young doc mabye she hasn't seen this before?
:teeth:

Still BaB less here. I guess I'm an empty nester or whatever you will call one such as me. I have my Eagle all decked out. Will post the pic one day real soon. Since I don't own a bear, I put my "jewelry" on the eagle.
So I was telling DH about how there was discussion of IM going on in the same house, and the talk about cordless phones. He is sitting exactly across from me picks up our cordless intercome phone and uses the intercom to ask my what I am doing as he cannot see what it is I am writing here.
What a blessed world I live in.
