Last day of work before the long weekend.

Tara I am SO glad to hear that Patches is back home where she belongs!!!! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!! I bet Jarrod is just beside himself and happy!!!

Elaine how are you feeling today?? Im saying feel better prayers for you.

Sherry glad you got some of Junior stuff bought. Neat about the turkey fryer. I would love to try a fried turkey but Im afraid of those things.

Karen good luck on the shopping this morning. Hope you find what you are looking for.

RM congrats on extending your stay. Im still praying for AP or FL res rates to come through for you. I owe you a PM. Things have been so busy busy for me that I havent gotten to it yet. Im sorry. I promise to answer tonight.

Rose Mary that is great now I will get to say hi to you again
No cooking here today but getting the stuff ready. I would say my grandma is coming over to help me cook tomorrow but truth be known she doesnt really believe I can cook so she will just take over. Oh well, I dont like to cook anyway (but I can! ).
Oh I got a great Christmas present for Matthew. He likes Nirvana so I bought the new cd & dvd set that was released yesterday.

Karen, read that thread of yours... one of the posters there is the same one who, in another thread, said he wouldn't think about turning in $100 dollars if he found it and that those working in certain positions (minimum wage) would just pocket it anyway. I wouldnt' worry about him. I, however, wouldn't return that Bible to him... at least not secretly. I would give it straight to his face and say "If you need this so much, take it"

LOL, Rose Mary... nto much has been set in stone. I think we plan to meet around 5 or so maybe... but where hasn't been set yet.

Deena, it's great when grandmothers cook for you, isn't it? I know mine will be tomorrow and I sure as heck don't mind

Deena, Good for you to let Grandma in your kitchen. My Mom is like that too. Kind of a joke around the house as the boys can come into her space, but she is still very territorial about that place. It makes her feel productive in the world and is truly helpful, so why not!

I am sooo looking forward to this long weekend. I wish it were here now!

Sherry, mmmm the smell of turkey in the oven must be wonderful there about now. My sister/BIL make the fryer turkey when we meet them at their camping trailer in summers. It is really quite tasty. Just be careful where you put that fryer.

JRKaren, hope you got some good deals with that early shopping. Wow! You are an earlybird.

okay I had to go read Karen's thread. It seems to me that many just want to look the other way and make excuses for the boy and to me that how things end up getting out of hand. I would say something to him, just to let him know. Maybe it would even be worded in how your proud he did the righ thing and turned it in to L&F. Even if he didnt and he just forgot it maybe next time he will think twice about taking something.

Hi all

Just stopping in to say hello to everyone. Just got back from Disneyland. Since my Doctor is only 45 min from Disneyland we just combine the trips. Makes the long drive worth it. Saw snow in the mountains on the way home. Something I have not seen since my Alaska days.

Jack is coming home early today and we are going to get Christmas shopping done

Love reading about the WDW plans. Wish I could be there. Would love to meet everyone.

I'm just sitting here munching on Hooter's Wings - yep, we made it there yesterday - although it took 1 HOUR to go 2 blocks to get to DD's dorm! Pittsburgh during a college holiday break is no place to be...

Gunny woke me up at 6:37 am this morning to let me know I was 7 minutes late in waking DS for school. Trouble is, DS had no school.... gotta love that beagle.

My Super-Duper Special Christmas Roadkill Package is officially mailed! Someone should be prepared (just like a good Boy Scout) to either be very excited or very sick....

Nancy - DD saw Neverland over the weekend. She really liked it. Now she wants to see Spongebob Squarepants....

My package went out Priority this morning.

No turkey smells yet. I just put it in the oven. Don't need it until later tonight. The house does smell like cheesecake's, though. Mmmmmmm.
I'll save some turkey for my Ya Ya's.

ICK! Mistletoe? I don't like that one. Guess I better hurry up and get Cranberry Chutney before the month is over.

Speaking of scrapbooking, Pam, thank you so much for mentioning scrapyourtrip.com ! They have so many neat die cuts, papers and stuff for our Disney trips!! I even found some stuff that will be perfect for the Chicago meet we did last April!

Sorry about that traffic, there, Pam. Probably won't be any better when you have to take her back to school after vacation, either. At least she's home for a few days!!

Pam, you are one brave driving Mama now! At least you get to treat yourself with those wings you like for all your stress. I've never had Hooters wings. Must try them some day I suppose. I am betting you will be up early all holiday weekend. Puppies don't seem to be able to tell time.

I had to try a piece today and it is absolutely heavenly. I can't wait to try those cookies you posted the recipe for the other day. I was doing so good with my exercise/weight loss program. It seems that it is going to turn into an only exercise program this weekend.

I don't know why we got to see Neverland at our theaters last week. It was playing at 2 screens where we go. I truly think it is a must see.

Well, looks like my early day will be a bit later. Coworker had to leave and get her baby from day care. Baby seems to have developed a rash and fever. I feel bad for her because it seems like it will be a rough holiday brewing and she is making the festivity. This means that I must cover her part today and therefore must stay later. Oh well, at least it's not me taking care of a sick baby. I think I got the easy part.

Ok, I am officially not wanting to do another thing today over here. I suppose I must however.

My house smells sooooo good right now. I am drooling. Its just about done, then Junior will be dropping me and the boys off at church to serve dinner. He has practice for a gig this Saturday. My MIL is gonna bring us home tonight.

Lily, glad you said that about the turkey. I saw one on tv the other day that was blacker than black and I HATE burnt food. The skin is one of my fave. parts, but I'll be skipping it fried. Everyone tells me that fried turkey is delicious, though, so I'm excited to try it.
