Amanda, be careful going home today. It started snowing here a short while ago and it is coming down fairly hard. I am also supposed to pick up our Dyson vacuum cleaner today... with the malls I was hoping to get it done during work hours since the traffic around here is so awful. Not sure I wnat to go out in the snow though :o

I've been watching the traffic cams..the traffic is moving along smoothly. They say the roads are icy and spots. If my manager leaves early, I will leave shortly after him.;)

I'm jealous I want snow for Christmas!!

Caroline...tell U of Miami to get their stuff together and find your paperwork!!

Karen...feel better...time to get rid of the ickies

Amanda...becareful with that foul weather, boss should let you leave!!

Elaine...I'm looking for my own Happy Crack! Haven't found it yet!

Nancy....yeah your boy is coming home!! Boo your computer sucks!

Hello to all who haven't checked in yet. Hopefully everyone is doing well!!

tara

Amanda, good luck with the roads! I was just out picking up our new vacuum and it isn't pretty out. We had a few inches of snow on my car. At least there doesn't seem to be ice on the roads beneath the snow so it is much more bearable to drive on. Stay safe and I hope you get to go home soon :)

Tara, come and get it!! I hate the snow!!! But I love your reason for editing :p

I did get our Dyson... I almost wish I could just go home and check it out instead of being here.

Hi there Ya Yas!

Caroline, sorry about that paper chase thing. Are the other schools better than U of M? Maybe THEY won't lose your stuff.

Elaine, where's the cabin you are going to and seems like you are spending it with friends? Sounds wonderful!

Amanda, hope the stuff clears up before you get out into it. We have been getting our share again. Yuk! I am so hoping the show shoveling fairy gets this one out of my way before I arrive home.

Tara, sounds like you have your plate full (I almost said hands full, but you can't have them full--you need them) with your school assignment this year. Sounds like your night was heavenly.

Karen, take care and hope you get through this time.

Beth, great ketchup. Sounds like you have a great package going out to Liz.

Tina, got your card...thanks!

JRKaren, read the first half of the report. It is fun to read. Off I go to read the rest...

Hey if you need to take a road trip and want to use your new machine, feel free to stop by my house!!! :earboy2:

Lily...my night was heavenly!! Of course I didn't get to bed as early as I had wanted to.

Cards are stamped, licked and ready to hit the mailbox. Gonna do that on the way home this afternoon!!

Don't know much else. Will stop back after others jump in!! hehehe

tara

Drive safely Amanda!!! No sign here of letting us go early. Maybe tomorrow when the worst is supposed to hit :)

Lily, we'll be down in the Hocking Hills next weekend. I can't remember where the cabin is or anything like that, but I have time to get it all together before we go I think. Should be a nice getaway!

Tara, if the roads weren't so yuck, I'd love to come visit with the Dyson. I'll have to tell y'all what I think of it tonight when I get home. I think I'll be shoveling snow first thing though... hate to mess up the driveway with tiretracks. I might only do part of it, and leave some of it for whenever Luis gets home... maybe... I think he might work out tonight.

Hi Kimmar!

Well, it is another cold day here with threats of lots of snow!! Actually, I would love a bunch to be dumped just in time for Christmas!!! I know, I am wierd!!!

JRKaren, great trip report! Thanks for getting it up so quickly!! Always fun to hear but yet another perspective on what sounded to be a fun filled week had by all. Now, as you know I would love to commit to a weekend in NYC, but until I get a job, I can't commit to anything!! But oh does it sound like lots of fun!!

Karen, why don't you fly? There is so much to see and do.....and driving can be such a long way to get around? Hope you are feeling better!!!

Bethie, thanks for the heads up on the package.....did you send another moving truck? I am so excited to see what the delivery guy has for me!! Oh boy can you see the excitement in my post!!!!!

Lily, I am so hoping that the shoveling fairy finds his way to your house!! I hear we may get a bunch of snow too! I have to admit, I like the snow blower!!! Of course Greg finds it VERY funny when I manage to get a face full of snow (and I ALWAYS do) until I get it all figured out!! I am sad to say that I will miss blowing the snow off of the driveway of the lady next door to us, but she is just so mean we can't even try to be nice to her anymore! So I guess if the wind is blowing form the north...I will get that face full of snow anyway!!

Amanda, can't wait to see you guys!!!! It should be LOTS of fun!! I think a trip to the Cheesecake Factory is in order as well!!! Just come hungry, cause the portions are huge......and that is even before the cheesecake comes!!!

Caroline, sorry to hear of your application woes!!! Nothing like spending days in getting that stuff to them to find out they have lost it! Of course that would make me loose it.....but I am not a patient person!!! Good luck with all of that!!

Lainey, you will have to let me know how you like your new vacuum cleaner!! I hear they are all the rage!! And you ahve 2 cats...right? Do let me know, we may need one too! We have a great vacuum cleaner that seems to get up lots of Barko hair.....but the things I am hearing about that Dyson.....it would be nice to get a real testimonial!

Tara, sounds like you have your hands full. Hope today is going better than yesterday. Sounds like you had a trying time there! If I had some snow to send you, I would!! You could always come here for the holidays should you find the NEED for snow.....or go to Lily's, I think she is closer to you than me!! Besides, she could use some help shoveling!!!!

Deena, how are the kiddos feeling? Isn't it always when they are out of school that they are sick! That is how is ALWAYS was for me!!! Good thing I learned to ditch at an early age!!! :earseek:

Tina, missing the snow there yet? I am thinking balmy weather is where I am headed in the next few years!! The ankle is telling me this is the way to go. I think I need to live close to the Mouse though!!! I can't stand the thought of moving father away from him......and all my family lives in Florida....wait, maybe I will move clsoer to you!!!

Manda, was just thinking about you and your family. Hoping all is well!!

RoseMary, where are you hiding? I have missed hearing from you!! And about your "Christmas" card....if you were trying to make me jealous about your weather...it worked!! I got a good laugh out of it! Hope all is well with you and that you are all ready for thie holidays!!

Nancy, have the kids found their way home yet? Hoping Geoff is able to get your puter up and running!! Hope also you have a great visit with him and enjoy your family time!! I have missed you chiming in!!!! Can't wait to have your puter up and running!! You are missed.....and we may need some more recipes!!!

Pam, where are ypu playing these days? I am sure you are out and having some fun!!! After all, it is PRIME roadkill season...no? Hope that you are able to share some fun and make some great memories with your daughter as she is home from college. How did all her finals go? I am sure she aced them all and made her momma proud!!

Kama, how is the weather in good ole Jersey? I have always wanted to visit Jersey....not sure why.......must be because you are there!! I do think the shore and a few casinos might be fun too!!!

Kristy, what is up with you? Your little Dakota is sure a cutie! I bet she has a great Christmas to look forward to!! I am sure Aunt Kristy won't spoil her too much!! Enjoy the holidays!!!

Sherry, what is new with you these days? Any news on Jr. I hope that all is going well with that situation and they get fix it real soon! I bet you stay busy will all those boys at home!!

Boo, are you taking bagel orders yet? I am having company next week and could use a dozen or two! They sound like a lot of work, but oh so yummy!!! Oh, and I did hear about one of your holiday poems....my skivvies would work much better!!! Mine are bigger ya know!!!! LOL!!!! maybe Bethie will share her lovely Christmas poem with all of us!! Glad to see you are in the true spirit of Christmas!!!

Suzanne, how goes it for you? I can only imagine the craziness of a Disney store at Christmastime!!!! Hope you are able to find some you time and enjoy being away from all the um...humanity!! I must admist, I do get that HUGE twinge of jealousy as I hear about all your trips to the World!! Oh what fun!! Enjoy it while you can. I bet your boys will have some great memories of Christmas when they get older!!!! It may not be a white Christmas, but a beautiful one for sure!!!

TC, glaad to hear the dentist thing worked out so well for you! Gotta admist....big CHICKEN here...especially when it comes to the dentist....haven't been for years....although the last trip may have cured me from ever going again!!!!! That is a really GROSS story though....so I will keep it to myself! All ready for Christmas yet? Stay safe and be careful on the ice!! I about went down yesterday and was thanking my lucky stars I was still in an upright position when all was done and over with!!! I hate winter ice!!! So very scary to think of what could actually happen. I KNOW you know that feeling well! Stay safe!!

Todd, are you playing video games again? Looking forward to seeing you next week!! Can't wait to go to the Cheesecake Factory!! It will be a good time had by all! Let's just hope for some good traveling weather!!

EOIP (again) - Boss just told us the weather is bad and that we should all go home early. Woohoo.

Sue just called and told me that the wheels finally fell off our old snowblower. On her way to the repair shop, a new driver (been behind the wheel for only two weeks) plowed into the side of our minivan. Nobody hurt, and only minor damage (I hope) to our minivan. I guess that makes up for the really good day that I've had at work.

Wish me luck getting home. The weather outside is frightful.....

Pssstt, Liz... Kama lives in CA, not NJ ;)
But yep, 2 cats... I will keep ya posted on the cleaner...

Could use a dose of Happy Crack for hte drive home.

We are being told to leave early today as well. In about 30 minutes I'll make the drive home.

John, sorry about the minivan... do hope nothing major happened!

Oh my TC. Glad your wife is okay--hope your minivan is too. And I hope the new drivers parents dont kill him/her.

ack!!! John! I hope DWSue is okay too! Please be careful outside!!

4greatboys Happy Crack??? Where do I sign up??

Just ask any local middle schooler!! Or as Liz said find a happy plumber!!

Amanda...go home and take care of that family of yours!! Stay warm

Elaine...snow blowing doesn't sound like fun! I've seen those vacuums, but I hate bagless sweepers! good luck!

I wanna go home!!! I have a headache and my student is out. So I should be allowed to escape without anyone noticing!! hehehe

more later,
tara

I've added a timer to my siggie!! I'm hoping that this is the next time I can go to WDW. I have decided to pick up some tutoring hours and plan to work during the summer in summer school, so I hopefully will be able to afford it!

hehe
