Morning everyone,

Whew what a wirlwind going through the last couple of pages. You go off to play with the kids and fall asleep and you guys went post crazy.

I love our new home. What a beautiful castle. Since I'm a newbie, I'll take a nice little room with a water view. Just big enough for my cabana boys Jon and Clay.

Off to clean the house. Talk to y'all later.

Hey guys you have to check out this link. We bought our last dvc resale through SHontell Crawford and she told me there would be an article about her on Mouseplanet, well I just found it, lol. If you look ar the group picture, Shontell is the one in the white shirt in the front bent over, and you can see me right over the top of her back (Im in a red, white & blue striped shirt standing next to teh lady on the end (theLorax2000) in the gray shirt) and there is a quote from me in there too!

How Cool!

In all my excitement over me I failed to notice a couple of other yaya sisters in the pic too!! Sorry Beth and Elaine. Beth is on the last row next to Dan Murphy and Elaine is in the yellow shirt. This was taken right before it started raining on us during Osborne lights.

 Good morning.
It's foggy this morning :)
Grocery shopping day.
See ya all later.

Good morning, Ya-Yas.

Unbeknownst to you, I have snuck into the castle when I came over to see your new place.

If you don't mind, I've set up a small room for me in the lower quarters out of everyone's way.

Several of your cabana boys came by for a quick game, but I shall dispatch them back to you with cocoa butter warmed in the microwave I have for popcorn.

Deena, thanks for that link!!! That is so cool! And how quickly we forget... Beth and I were in that picture too!!!!! Let's see if I can name all in that picture.

GroupatMGM.jpg

Front row: Ray Sharpton & Shontell
Second row (the rest of them in a zig zag kind of way) Gary (DH of Mickey Nut 50), Barry (half of Perfectmatch300??), Sherrie (Mickey Nut 50), Beth (our very own), Nancy (the other Perfect match half), Dan Murphy, me, Melissa (good friend of Elisabeth and a DISer Mels28), Elisabeth (ead79), Dave (DaveH & Beth's love) Deena & Carol

how'd I do?

Hi Alan!!!!! Nice to see you here!!!!

I think you got everyone right!! We had such a good time that night. Are you going the beginning of Dec again?? I think I asked but my brain has been stressed out by my kids--esp my 13 yr old!
I was thinking of going Dec 4-8. But this year I have to take the 2 little ones--I had a hard time leaving them last year.

If I didn't get them all right, Deena (and all) just be sure that you don't tell anyone I messed up ;) I was so dang tired that day that I really wasn't all that socialable... I wanted to sleep but I was deteremined to go and see the Osborne Lights as well as Fantasmic. And yep, I have ressies already for December 1-7th. If you bring the kids, I am sure you'll have plenty of help from friends :) I think Beth said she was going to be there during that time and I know Dan was already looking at flight info... I might try to lure another Ya Ya or two in on that too ;)

Oh you guys are making me crazy. I just got back from my trip in May and I'm in deep withdrawl. I want to go back so bad.

My next trip has to be over the holidays. It's always been my dream to see Disney all decorated. I've heard it's so wonderful. I can't do it this holiday season but maybe for 2004.

Where should I stay? We are 6 and that presents such a problem and my little one will be almost 4 by then so he doesn't qualify for 3 and under in a room.

We just stayed AKL concierge this trip, but it was a gift from MIL (who thankfully won't be joining us next time). Next trip we're on our own and I don't know if I can swing 2 concierge rooms.

I was thinking OKW. Looks really nice and we always drive anyway so that won't matter.

Any thoughts??

:bounce: Ooooooh!!! Lookie!! :bounce:

Hi all. Nice new digs. Love the castle!
Hey sweetie pie.... come on 'down' and see me some time!! :p Wanna come down and see the... uh.... 'ice' in the basement?

Gotta ketchup but can't... gotta gooooooo......

Hey to Alabamaalan though!! Stick around!!! I'm liking that room... nice pool table, and thank you so much for sending our guys back, and with cocoa butter no less... oh my!!!

Lizzie if you little wont be 3 til after your trip you cna stay ing hte same room. You could rent some DVC points and stay in a 2 bedroom. You could check ou the AP rates. Last year they had rooms at the AS for $46 a night--tax included. I stayed with another Diser at AKL for Dis con. We got a great rate on a savannah room $176 tax inlc. Concierge was all booked up. Also if you guys dont have AP's check Expedia. they had some great rates last Sept and Oct. You can get room and UPH.

Thanks Deena

Never done the point rental thing. I guess I should check into that.

When is Dis Con? I still have my ap till May. Maybe I can make a solo trip?? (bad mommy)

Zack will be almost 4, so they won't let him stay in the room as an under 3.

That's a great rate for AKL savannah. We're not into the AS's. WE also love AKL.

We'll see. Now my obsessive compulsive planning will start taking over again.

Lizzie, there is not going to be an official DIS Con this year (probably not an official one ever again) but many will be there the 1st week of December (right after Thanksgiving). Make sure you look into www.mousesavers.com they list all the codes for discounts and I know some people have gotten AP rates of $109 or $119/night for a standard view at AKL and WL. I have found the moderates are a great deal too if you are looking for two rooms. I admit I am not much for the look of the All Stars... nothing against them but I go for theming and they just don't stand out to me as ones I'd like (I also would avoid the Contemp, YC or GF for the same reasons). I don't care about amentities but I wish they would rethink the theming of the value resorts because I would love to find ways to save money.

I just stayed at OKW not too long ago and it is beautiful and the bus service wasn't that bad for us either. I hear you get great deals through renting DVC points. Also just think, concierge is nice (I've done it before) but really I've had tons of great stays w/o it and the price difference ($80/night or more) can be used for other things. As of this moment, I have the Swan reserved for like $145/night with a AAA discount for my trip (that could all change though) so by looking you can get great rooms for great deals.

Kimmie, yeah yeah, lover boy checked in... be sure to stay down in your 'hole' as long as you like :p

My family did stay in ASMu last Dec and had a good time. Yes, the room was small, but we were not in it much and were having to be very frugal!

We were paying for an extra adult in the room, (3 adults, 1 5 year old) and that was the only AS resort we could get the code for.

The bus service was great and since it was a first trip for two of them, they didn't know any better ;)

I'll probably always stay at AS Resorts because our visits will only be every 5 years or so and for no more than 3 days probably.

woopsies.....my fault....I didn't recognize my cabana boy. I'll see if I can find a better picture of him :)

Beth...YAY! I'm so happy to hear that your interview went so well and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the phone rings today telling you to start right away :) YAY

AlabamaAlan....very nice room!!! I'll be stopping in often for a round or two of pool.

Kimmie.....your boy is wandering the halls looking for you. I'm going to show him to your room. He'll be waiting with the cocoa butter when you return.

Lizzie...is Clay going to serenade us on our first full day in the castle???

Lizzie if Zach is still 3 when you check in you can stay in the same room. I went to Dis con solo last year it was very strange for me, I never go on any trips alone. I did have a great time but since my 2 little ones were only 2 and 7 months I missed them. My first day every time I saw a baby I wanted to bust out in tears, lol. They stayed home with dad and mil watched them the 2 days he worked. If you decide to go Lizzie without your family you could always get a roomie. We could even slpit a room if you like. We are getting AP's for our Oct trip. Im dying to stay AKL concierge or Poly concierge. Last year we stayed YC concierge and loved it. I wouldnt pay it alone but getting a good discount and splitting the room may not be to bad.
Elaine do you think people are going start setting up meets like they did last year? I wish I had a scanner I have a pic of Jay (jaypd) sitting on a bench next to a guy that looks like Santa, lol. The guy is sleeping.
If you want to go Lizzie, looks like several of your sisters will be there, lol.

No problem, just feed the dragon and come on in. Heck, yours is probably one of the only accents I'll understand around here anyway ;)

The door is always open to my Ya-Ya landladies...

LMAO yah...I still have a bit of my accent. Lost of it when I started working with lots of diverse people. My poor husband has the hardest time understanding my aunts and uncles since he's from MI.

Alan, I know many people LOVE the All Stars and I am glad they are around. I think I figured it out... I like peace and quiet and nature and somehow the All Stars don't fit the bill. The Swan isn't that much better truthfully with theming but with the way my back is, I am so grateful for those beds!!! It makes a world of difference for me when I can sleep nice. Otherwise the Swan is not a resort I am fond of for anything other than the beds & location. I can walk back from Epcot at night and I love that :)

I think some day I need to try Dixie Landings... very peaceful and nature oriented there. I think it would quickly become my favorite moderate. I am a silly goose and I have to admit, with no kids and a lot of solo trips, I look for different things in rooms than many others.

Oh and Deena, I stayed at Polynesian concierge (lagoon view too) for our honeymoon... the most magical trip I've ever taken.

Clay serenading us :bounce: Woohoo!!!! I'm liking that idea!!!

Deena, there is already talk on the meets board about getting together. I won't be rushing as much as I did before. I really hurt myself by running around the way I did. I don't mind meeting people, but I would honestly just meet them and just wander the parks for the day with them. It feels much nicer than rushing. I am sure though there will be meets everywhere though and there is another board that is hosting a huge 'convention' of sorts. I just don't post on those boards anymore.

Accents? I don't have no stinking accent :p Actually I do have a funny one I think... I say a few words more like Chicagoans now since I chat with some often, and I still have a funky Canadian accent somewhere, yet I still say y'all and all y'all. I am so mixed up.
