Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

QOTD: do you incorporate flexibility/stretching in your workouts?

Every morning first thing, I do 20 push ups (working to get more), 100 sit ups and stretches. I am trying to get back my split that I lost when puberty hit. Right now it is 16 inches (it should be 2 to be a "split"), so i have a long way to go!

WHAT A DAY!

LOST MY PEDOMETER SOMEWHERE BETWEEN MY CAR AND THE OFFICE. SNOW PLOW CAME WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR IT. I MAY FIND IT IN THE SPRING. :sad1:

GOT A CALL FROM DOCTOR. BLOOD WORK CAME BACK CHOLESTEROL WAS TOO HIGH AND triglycerides WERE WAY TOO HIGH. I HAVE TO GO BACK IN TWO MONTHS FOR MORE BLOOD WORK. :guilty:

THIS IS THE KICK IN TO BEHIND I NEED TO GET MOVING AGAIN.

I have just joined. My goal is to lose 12 lbs. I would like to get back to my weight watchers lifetime goal weight. I will be taking baby steps towards meeting my goal. First, I will track my points and stay within my points target and I will get 30 minutes of activity at least 5 days a week. SOOOOOO here goes....1/29 is day one of my new plan. Here's to all of you, I hope to get some inspiration from all of you. :cheer2: I tend to need motivation about every other minute of the day.:)

thought i'd pop in and post my last QOTD, but seems like it's been slow around here, so i'll wait until tomorrow. i work in the morning so it will be lunchtime

got a good strength workout in, then shoveld for almost an hour. i was exhausted!

Yesterday was really good. I ended up getting in a 45 minute workout- 6 activity points! Today was not as good as yesterday. I am incorporating more physical activity. Today we did jumping jacks to spell words, and I finished laying down my masking tape 100's chart. We did some more hopping to skip count by 5's and 10's. We had popcorn all day and I was kind of grazing the entire time, and when I got home was super hungry so I ended up eating two snack cakes. I meant to work out but was just not feeling it and gave up after 10 minutes. I'm hoping since I didn't use any flex points yesterday this won't affect my weigh in tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. It is cold and icy here in jersey

I had no school yesterday and today is the last full day before we start exams so I am not looking forward to how crazy the kids are today.

It was hard to get in the 5000 steps yesterday for the COW. I was quilting a good part of the day but I did manage to get it in. Last day for this week's COW>

We celebrated DH and my MIL's birthday last night. We went to our favorite Mexican place. I did fine on the eating...got an extra plate of lettuce that always helps, broke the chips up into small pieces so they lasted longer and took a tiny bite of fried ice cream. I had it planned into my day and didn't feel bad about it.

Still hanging in there with the COW, yesterday was close on the steps but I pulled it out. Since we went out we didn't get a walk in but will be getting back out there today.

QOTD: do you incorporate flexibility/stretching in your workouts?

I don't do as much stretching as I need to be doing but am working on it...thanks for the reminder:thumbsup2 .

hhartill - Welcome aboard...I don't think you'll have any trouble finding that inspiration, it always helps me to be here on the WISH board.:welcome:

Riverhill-Sorry to hear about your pedometer, seems when it rains it pours. Stay postive and focused and you'll get those numbers down before your next doctor appointment.

Well, I'm back from WDW and trying to get back into the daily routine. I weighed in Mon. AM and my weight was up more than I expected after the vacation. I behaved pretty well as far as staying away from desserts, but we did have Papa Johns pizza in the room one night (my favorite). The only bad dessert I had was the chocolate cream cheese buckle at CRT. It was probably at least 20 points, but I kinda figured that I paid $75 for that muffin and I was going to eat it! Now that I'm back on track, hopefully my weight will go back down this week.

DH just admitted to me yesterday that he is doing a biggest loser competition at work. Here I thought he was just being good to support me! He really doesn't have any weight to lose, but would like to tone up and get in better shape. He's off today, so we're going grocery shopping to restock the house with healthy stuff since we pretty well emptied it out before vacation. We're going back to WDW in 10 mos, and our goal is to look good in our bathing suits!
Great job on the eating at disney. Hopefully that gain is mostly sodium retention, and will be down when you weighin. I'm jealous you're going back in 10 months. We were there last week and my son keeps asking when we're going back.

QOTD: do you incorporate flexibility/stretching in your workouts?
I do the watp videos, and do a little stretching at the end of the tapes, but sometimes I skip it and just stretch my calves if I'm in a hurry. I should definitely stretch more than I do.

Welcome! This is a great challenge and very motivating. Are you going to ww meeting and doing the new program? I really like that you can total your activity points for the week and use them on a different day if you want to. Good luck.

How adorable. My son would love a dog, but I just can't do it right now. I think when he's a little older, and coming home from school on his own, I'll get one then.

Cold and icy here too. I was thrilled that the car wasn't iced in, only the ground is a sheet of ice. Lots of happy kids here yesterday as well for a snow day. It's supposed to warm up this weekend, and hopefully we'll see some melting.

QOTD- who is your favorite author?- I don't really have a favorite author, but just read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, on the recommendation of a friend, and loved it. I didn't think I would, not really interested in vampires, but it was a good love story. I picked up the next book to read too. I'm not a big reader, and will start a book and if it's good, finish it in 2-3 days, and if it's not good, never finish it.

I've been getting the water and vegies in, but don't have a pedometer yet for the cow. Just have to remember to send the info to Raenstorm.

Have a great day everone! Good luck weighing in tomorrow!! Hope to see lots of losses!!:cheer2:

Hello everyone! I finally put together my pedometer. I bought a fancy smancy Omron months ago but never took the time to set it up. So ... I finally did it last night on the couch.

I measured my average stride and it's only 2'. I was supposed to walk normally right? Is anyone else's that small?

Mine is only 21". I'm only 5'2", so I guess I just have short legs! I have a WW pedometer, and at WDW I averaged 21,000 steps/7 miles a day!

Good luck to you in "fixing" those numbers. I'm in the same boat. Hadn't had my blood checked in about 16 or 17 years, and the results were a far cry from where they were then. At that time, I had very low cholesterol, and now it is quite high. I think my triglycerides were okay, and was happy the glucose came back okay (I was quite worried about that). But this was definitely a wake up call, I knew I needed to lose, but didn't realize how bad I was going on "inside". Doc told me to lose the weight or he's putting me on meds, which I don't want to do if at all possible.

I'm 5'6 with a 32" inseam. I think I just expected my stride to be bigger. I don't want to cheat either way, KWIM?

QOTD -- What's for dinner tonight?

Not sure yet...will be a veggie supper (beans, squash, cabbage, etc.) or a pork lo mein...will update once I decide. I have to factor in our walking once DH gets home so that pushes dinner a little later.

I have really been struggling. I allowed myself to "give in" to my feeling sorry for myself this weekend and now of course am struggling to get back into routine.

I don't know why I allowed myself to eat my feelings. I KNOW that it does nothing to help and in the end only hurts.

I am so not looking forward to the scale tomorrow. I know I will have gained. And I know it is my own darn fault.

[QOTD -- What's for dinner tonight?

Tonight will be a slop night b/c I have to work 6:30p-11p. DH will probubly have leftover backed spagetti, and I will probubly have a turkey and cheese wrap and a salad.

{{hugs}} BTDT. Make today a new day and look forward to what the scale will say next week.

Hello everyone.

Water may be an issue today. They just turned it OFF and I hadn't planned on that LOL! (Checking the complex for a main line leak)

QOTD: Tonight is either "fajitas" or spagetti. Depends on if the ground beef defrosts.... If yes, spagetti, if no fajitas. I am only home for 4 nights and we are cooking something Sunday (not a clue what, boyfriend came up with this one) so I didn't buy many groceries!

Dinner tonight will be the other half of the Subway sub I'm about to go purchase for lunch. Probably turkey breast, no cheese.
