Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

QOTD: I guess Destin is my favorite other than Disney, but we have been to San Antonio a few times and enjoyed it as well. Loved Sea World. But Disney is really my fav! I have several places I want to go though. I want to go back to D.C. I haven't been there since I was a teen. Have been waiting until the kids got old enough to appreciate it all. I think we really are there now, but no trip planned yet. Also, I would love to spend a couple of weeks and go out west. See the Grand Canyon and then explore Yellowstone. That sounds awesome to me, hubby and DD10, but sounds like torture to DD14! Don't have that one planned yet either. It will more than likely be a few years before we do that trip, but I will definitely get there one day.
 
Brenda, Thank you so much for all your hard work keeping up with all of the stats for this challenge. I can't imagine how time consuming it really is. :thanks:

Congratulations to all of the losers! The results half way are really impressive. I have done much better this week. I expect to have lost this week what I put on the last 2 wks. I feel much better already, not nearly as bloated from eating junk!:rotfl: I can't believe I made #3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me ashamed of myself for the 2wks I didn't try, but definitely gives me a kick in the pants to keep with it now! I am gonna have to work hard to make my goal. I want to loose 20 pounds by the end of the challenge and if I am back to my lowest (where I hope to be tomorrow) I still have 6 lbs to go. I had got into a rhythm of loosing only about a pound a week for a while, so I have to keep going strong till the finish! I know I can do it, and I know we all can do it!:woohoo: :cheer2:

Sorry that I haven't really posted for awhile. Thank you for your congratulations!!!! And Congrats to all the losers this week!!!! I couldn't believe that I actually made #1. :woohoo: I was sick last week and I am sure that had a lot to do with it--but I am better now and am happy to have lost the lbs.

Places that I like to vacation---we love our Disney Cruises and have been on 6 so far with 3 planned for the future. We also like to travel out west to the National Parks, as well as to places throughout Wisconsin in our camper.

A BIG THANK YOU to Brenda too for all her hard work with the number crunches!!!!!That has to be a big job getting the numbers all together! We really appreciale all your hard work! Way to go!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 You are awesome!!!!! Hard to believe we are over half way through.....fun to see the numbers half way through!! Great job everyone!!!!!!!!!A few more weeks to go...let's keep up the good work and keep on losing!:banana:

Good Friday Morning

Congrats this week to all the losers.

I am down 1.6 from last week where I had a gain so I am happy.

Been busy with testing this week and the show I have been working on has it's last 3 performances this weekend. I have been mainly catching up on some rest.

Spring is coming Going to be 60 here in jersey today so get out there and enjoy it. But with my luck the sea breeze will kick in and cool my house down to the 40's.

morning losers --- where did the week go?

i'm thrilled that i showed a 2lb loss this week. i've been more consisitent with my exercise and stayed away from the sugar more successfully. hmmmmm......doesn't seem difficult does it, so why is it so hard? lol ;)

I just have to laugh at this question. My answer is the same as Michele's. Not by my choice. My DH only knows WDW and no matter if I suggest another place. We go to WDW. So I guess there is no other place to vaca Michele. I WISH I knew variety, but it will never be.
You guys make me feel so good. I keep saying I want to go other places, but when it comes time to plan a trip, it's WDW.

Tiger Lily - what do you mean more variety? Where else can you visit 11 countries in just one afternoon? Talk about variety. Check out my Epcot video and you will see what I mean...

I am up .6 today. going the wrong way. Molli- it is so true, when you are on track, it seems easy, but when you are off, it's so hard to get back on. It's a new day. I'm off to make a healthy lunch.

Thursday QOTD- Besides any disney parks, where are your favorite places to vacation?

I am so far behind on everything... So let's start with this.

I may be the ONLY poster on here to say this, but Disney is not actually my favorite place to vacation.

Top is probably Europe, especially Paris. (I am going to Spain and Portugal this May.:banana: )

Disney and "beach" come in second.

Don't have a weight to report. I am at Disney for the Princess Half so no scale! Since I have been here all week, that's probably good!:scared1: I have been OK since I am in a DVC villa and have stocked some food. It' the beers at Epcot that are going to do me in! (Well that and the meal at the French resturant last night!) I have jogged twice this week and have a LONG run Sunday!

I think Wednesday's question was "how long have you been working on your weight"

I am kind of like Tiger Lily. It really became an issue as I hit 40. In my youth and 20's I was naturally thin. In my 30's I could stand to lose 10-15 pounds.... then came 40 and I didn't adapt to the changes my body made. So now I need to lose 40 pounds or so!:eek:

I'd like to Thank mikamah for being an AWESOME coach last week. :goodvibes I'll be your new coach for this coming week.

Today I lost 2.6 pounds - I'm so excited to see this working now that I'm being strict again. Woohoo! It's up .6 from yesterday but that is ok. I think its because I ate out and it was probably more salt than I've been getting.

QOTD: Do you plan ahead for your day or your week (make a meal plan) so that you stay on track? Or do you wing it?

If you do plan - How do you do it and are there any tips you can give.


For me - sometimes we do a whole week of planning for dinners, and some weeks we get in a rut and don't get it done.

For daily planning many mornings I'm putting together my "cooler" for the workday at the last minute. I need to get better at planning ahead of time -for the week and the night before.

Planning for me is key though. If I have a cooler full of things I know are factored in to my day - then there is none of that panicky "on no what do I eat now that I'm starved". I usually bring nuts or seeds for an afternoon and morning snack since I try to eat every 2-3 hours to keep my blood sugar stable. What I need to do is work on having a more balanced Protein/Carb ratio even at my snacks. lately I've been bringing a piece of fruit or vegetable to eat along with the nuts.

Only 9 more sleeps until the long drive to DL. Need to be good until then, and not be too bad once I'm down there.

Woo hoo - Have a great trip - I know you will do terrific.
And wow - I just realized I only have 14 more sleeps till I go to WDW with DD17 - Woo hoo!

I was a human turtle, with only one off week, but the past 2 weeks have been gains, so for the next 3 weeks, I need to kick it up and end with a bang.

You can do it!!! I've been a turtle too and finally I had a good week this week.

I love the Outerbanks and the NC mountains. Since we live in the middle part of the state, we can get to either in under four hours. Hoping to make a trip to each place for a long weekend before the year is up.

I bet the NC mountains are very similiar to the Smoky's - actually doesn't some of the Smoky's go into NC?

Lake Okoboji in Iowa -- we go there every year -- DH's family has owned a place there since 1893!

I have high hopes to see my name on the list this week since I've finally had some good losses this week after a small loss last week and weeks of maintaining . . . maybe I've figured a few things out! I think I will make my goal for the challenge, too, yay!

Very cool to have a family place that makes a great vacation. Looking foward to seeing your name up there. So glad things are going well! Sounds like you and I have been doing the same- maintaing and now enjoying a loss :)

Disney cruises :lmao: I've been lucky enough to be able to go on 2 cruises. The panamal canal cruise last year was fantastic! :cool1:

That is one cruise I REALLY want to do!!

We love to go to Scotland (have family there) but unfortunately don't get there very often. Except for that it's pretty much WDW, my parents are in Orlando so it gets combined.

What great places to have family - That is how it is for me and Vegas - nice having family in great vacation destinations!

I've been tracking all my calories and exercise with a program on my iPhone and it has been working great. The accountability of having to record things and send my weight to a complete stranger is really helping me. Things are going a bit slower these last couple of weeks, but I'm hanging in there. Keep up the great work everybody and just keep on plugging along!

I agree - Disney is TOPS!!

We go to Custer State Park in South Dakota at least once every summer. We LOVE it there! We camp among the buffalo! :) We also love the Smoky Mountains. Haven't been there for a couple of years, but it's one of our favorites! But my heart will always belong to Mickey and MUST now go there every year! I'd move there if I could - maybe some day! :wizard:

Caming among the buffalo sounds so awesome!! The Smoky Mountains are so peaceful and relaxing.

Sorry, I haven't been on the boards much- I've been making some really great cd's for our trip though. I'm down 3 pounds this week :) Jeez I just told my husband on the phone and his response to that was hmm- let's go to Hometown Buffet :mad: Lol. Only one more pound until I lose 20 total :-)
Some QOTD"S I need to catch up with-planning food-- yeah I do plan food because a lot I take out of the freezer to thaw. (I work in a meat dept. so I get a lot of bargains) Favorite vac place other than Disney? Seattle. Hands down. Then Portland.

I semi-plan. I make sure that I've got lots of easy healthy lunch options for at work, and that there's some choices for dinners. Worst thing for me, is that if we get behind on keeping the kitchen clean, then I'm more likely to eat badly for supper.

I know I would lose faster if I could be stricter, but when I've done that, I've always fallen off the train badly. Since I joined this challenge, I've really tried to go with eating reasonably and still having some of the fast food. I'm hoping to be able to make the small changes permanent ones.

I haven't weighed in yet, but I'm hoping for a lost tomorrow when I do weight in. I'm in a rambling mood today, and have drifted way off from the actual question. Time to get off her and get back to work.
