How long does it take to receive your welcome kit from Disney after purchasing a resale??? I received a call on 1/7 with my account number, then made the reservations on 1/8, when should I receive all the info????

What is considered a welcome kit? I closed in mid-December, but my info didn't hit Disney computers until Friday December 27th. Probably a week later, I got the new guidebook in the mail from Disney. Last week I got the bills for my dues. This is all I have gotten so far.

I guess that is what I am talking about, the guide book. I thought I read somewhere that it was called a welcome kit. I am about a a week to 10 days behind you, we actually closed on 12/20, but with the holidays and then something about end of year accounting, (I was told by a very, very nice cast member Faye, that accounting locked down the computers on 12/30 for end of year entries) I was delayed about another week. So maybe this week or next I will get something from Disney?

We closed on 12/16 after buying resale and received our Member Guidebook last week. Our membership cards arrived today - I thought this was very quick as we live in England. I'm sure you'll get yours soon. Isn't it great to know you belong

After purchasing an interest in BCV direct through Disney, I received the following in my Welcome Kit:

- A backpack with DVC logo on it.
- A matted lithograph of the BCV resort.
- Member Guidebook
- Temporary ID Cards

my permanent ID cards showed up shortly after my closing.

I just bought 200 points at BCV yesterday (Hi everyone) and was told that my welcome package would arrive in about 1-2 weeks.

Last May(?) it took about six weeks from closing on a resale until I had a guidebook.

I had the membership cards in about three weeks.

You won't get the same "Welcome kit" as if you buy new, you'll only get a guide book. You won't get the goodies like litho and guidebook nor will you get all the rules or whatever that book is called.
