Has anyone been to Welcome Home Wednesdays within the last 1 year?

I went solo in May because I was staying at the BCV, and it was an easy walk. If your children are willing to raise hands and answer questions, they may get involved and win some cute prizes, and adults too. You watch (and may be picked to be a participant in) a game show with DVC questions. Read any check in information before you go, because there were some "up to the minute" questions about a new place that offered a DVC discount. There was lemonade and small bags of chips to eat. As we left, we got a baseball cap...nice.

It's a way to learn a few things, but also it's an opportunity to be at a low key sales presentation because they do tell what current incentives are.

I would go again if it's hot out and convenient for me to be there. It's held every Wednesday.

We've gone twice.
It was a nice break....but wouldn't do it if you are pressed for time.
You get a freebie....one time it was a hat, last time a calendar.
You also get snacks and drink.
It is every Wednesday at 4:00. It lasts almost an hour.

We went in March 2007 and June 2008. DeeVee C gets a little over the top, but as previous posters said, it's fun and you get a free gift.

In March 2007 we got a 15 yr DVC anniversary ball cap.
In June 2008 we got a DVC water bottle holder with strap.

We went in Aug 08 when we were staying at BWV. We got DVC beach bags (which are nice) for going. We would go again, but only if we were staying at ether BWV or BVC.

We went last Dec. and were very disappointed. It was boring and we won't be going back!

We go often also. We've gotten hats, a beach bag and a calendar. My husband played the game and got the huge double person DVC beach towel/w carrying bag. It was funny and I couldn't believe how many he got right. I thought he wasn't listening to me, but obviously he was. He knew more about DVC then I thought he did. Some of the door prizes are pretty good and we keep hoping to win them, but so far just the cap.
