Weight Watchers Ideas

I just joined WW a couple of weeks ago and have been doing really well.

Here is a site that a friend pointed me to.
http://www.hungry-girl.com/

Some things that I have really liked:
Laughing cow cheese - 1 on reduced-fat triscuits -2
Vita Tops chocolate muffin tops - 1
Sandwich thins

I'm here to FORMALLY extend an invitation to ALL of you WW and weight loss folks to come join us over on the WISH board! Lots of chatter over there about weight loss, exercise, Weight Watchers, etc. Plus we are starting the Biggest Loser 10 Fall Challenge on September 3!! Lots of friendly folks all working for the same goal.... a healthy, strong, fit, slim body and renewed health!

Feel free to come over and post questions, share recipes, or join in a challenge. There is a WW Chat thread, a South Beach thread, a "10 pounds to go" support thread, and many more! :thumbsup2 .............P

Why do so many of you specify egg substitute rather than just using real eggs?

(I'm a total rookie when it comes to weight loss).

Easy answer for me.... 3 egg white = 1 point or 1 whole egg = 2 points. No fat or cholesterol in the white. I personally prefer a real egg white rather than an egg substitute........P

The Hungry Girl recipes are really good!
There is a banana pancake recipe that is awesome.

Yesterday, I made myself and my girls a great pineapple smoothie for part of breakfast using a serving of fresh pineapple, low fat honey Greek yogurt, ice cubes and some skim milk for each person. I garnished the glass with a small slice of fresh pineapple. It wasn't quite like a pineapple Dole Whip, but it will do considering how much more healthy!

I always eat an English muffin for breakfast - 2 points.

I also love, love, love the sandwich thins & bagel thins. Sandwich thin for lunch; bagel thin for my afternoon snack.

Thanks so much for all these great ideas! I can't wait to try some out. I also lost weight with WW before having two kids. I'm now on a mission to loose the insane amount of weight I gained. This thread should help a lot!

I just restarted WW this week (today is day 3). I haven't weighed myself & don't plan to until my clothes feel looser.

I am doing it online. I have tried to just do it on my own but I need a kick in the butt. I figure online is cheaper for me then going to the meetings & cheaper is where it is at these days.

One meal I used to make when I did WW a good 10-15 years ago was a simple one:

Mission Fat free tortilla-I believe they are 1 point
Cut up peppers & onions steamed-0 points
Salsa-0 points
Fat free sour cream-0 points unless I used more then the serving size
Cheese-about 3 points

I would have 2 or 3 of them for dinner & I'd be full. Or I guess you can do those for lunch as well.

I just restarted last week. I am loving the everything bagel thins and WW cream cheese.:thumbsup2 We'll see if I've made progress on Wednesday morning.

My mom & I almost joined WW, I have about 15 lbs that have snuck back on, and my mom has 50 she'd like to lose. My dad passed away last year so we both did a lot of stress/sad munching, I think. We decided to join forces and just try to do it on our own. We are just counting calories, keeping track of them in our own notebook. The thing that has REALLY helped is that we text each other our calorie counts (those of you on WW could do the same w/ points) every evening. That accountability has been great. Then once a week we text each other our weight loss. We are just aiming for a healthy 1 or 2 lbs. a week. Once a month, if we have kept to our plan, we treat ourselves to a healthy lunch out, or a skinny latte, and a chick flick- no kids, no dh, just us girls;). I love Taste of Home's Healthy Cooking magazine, regular food that my kids will eat, and each recipe has all of the nutritional info, so you could compute the points. Great thread!

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, as I have not had a chance to read all the posts.

OP - WW has a new program. They just introduced it December 1. I just joined a new group at my office. Might want to look into the new program. I feel like I get more to eat and more satisfied. My points allowed have gone up since the last time I did it. (So have some of the point counts on foods). However, fruit is now FREE. I love fruit so this is a huge benefit to me. Also everyone gets a big bunch of bonus points for the week. I think it is 49 points.

A favorite snack of mine....

Take two low fat chocolate Graham crackers and cover one with fat free cool whip. Put second cracker on top to make a sandwich. Freeze. Tastes just like an ice cream sandwich.

That sounds really good! I have lost 25 lbs since mid Aug, though not doing WW! I don't have a lot left to lose, but really want to maintain! I love finding new low cal ideas, esp for sweets!
