Weight Watchers floor collapses

Actually, it's not hilarious at all. A floor collapsing out from under people is potentially very dangerous. Thank goodness no one was hurt. These people were simply trying to change their lifestyles and improve their health. They don't deserve to be laughed at for any reason.

I agree.

If that had happened at a meeting where my hubby was weighing in, it would have set him back months, if not years. He has huge emotional issues with food (thanks, MIL!) and probably would have blamed himself completely, and might have binged because of it.

And just b/c there were no medical injuries evident in that next hour or so, doesn't mean there won't be things popping up in the next few days.

So how many skinny people go to weight watchers?

You can join WW if you have only 5 pounds to lose from the range for your height and weight. And once you lose your weight, you are urged to come back EVERY week and weigh in. As long as you stay inside a certain amount of your goal, you get the meetings and weighins for free.

So there are plenty of thin people who go to meetings!

I do see the humor in the title- and I am a Weight Watchers member. There is a certain irony to it. (Although I do believe the anorexia comment was out of line.) It sounds like nobody was too scarred as they continued to weigh in in that same building- just in a different room. Now that is dedication!

ETA: And yeah, there are plenty of thin people who are weighing in. People who only have a little bit to lose, people who are lifetime members, people who are in the maintenance phase. At least at my meetings, I would say about 1/3 of the participants (this does not include the workers who all must have met and maintained an acceptable weight watchers goal weight while doing the program) are "skinny."
