Weight Watchers and Disney

Has anyone been to Pepper Market and if so, do they offer egg white omelets or egg beaters? I would love to start off with a protein breakfast at least a few days during our trip next week but don't want to load up otherwise hefore I even get out of the resort.

I wish I could answer your question, but I do not know....yet. I am staying at CSR for the first time beginning 11/25, and I am looking forward to enjoying the Pepper Market too.

No worries-if I can I will post here as we arrive 11/17 and I will find out the answer!

I'm planning a trip to the big WORLD in April 2008. I'm a Weight Watchers member. Any tips to stay on the program with all that FOOOOOOD?

With all the walking I do per day, I feel totally justified to eat as I wish. You are on vacation-treat yourself. We just did the DDP and ate more than usual. When we got home we weighed ourselves and we were the same as before we left. I truly feel that all that walking helps burn it off. Have a fun vacation!

Woo Hoo ~*~-:woohoo:~*~ only 2 more days for you!! :cool1: HAVE FUN!!! I will certainly watch for your Pepper Market report. :thumbsup2

I'm glad this thread is still going on. I hope those who have just been to WDW and were sharing hints earlier chime in ... were you able to keep to a healthy diet???

I am really worried about those CS meals! I've looked and not a lot of lo-cal (low points) foods going on there. I love salads but not with meat in them :sad2: !

Does anyone know if there is an Applebee Restaurant somewhere close to WDW??? I've been having luck with them when I want to SPLURGE. We are spending two days at Universal (still staying at WDW but just going there two days) and plan to stop for dinner on the way back to the Poly ...

Right now ... with my birthday in late October and my Anniversary in mid- November ... I keep gaining and losing the same three pounds - - but I am still down about 22 lbs ... so no complaints but I DO have more to go!!! ARG --------

I love what Applebee's did for the program. Good food that you know is within you points. Maybe look at "Applebee's" online and get an address for Orlando locations the hop on mapquest to see how close or far you are. As for the salads, I too don't like meat mixed together. Don't worry about those three pounds. Once the special occasions and holidays :santa: are done you'll be surprised that you'll drop those three and a couple extra. Good LUCK!!

I lost 35lbs at WW, then had a week in DL followed by a week in Vegas.

My advice is stay on track until a couple of days before you go away, and get back onto it a couple of days after you get back.

I made the mistake that I wondered off track a couple of weeks before and am still struggling a few weeks on! I am paying the price now! It being winter doesn't help but I don't want to undo all my good work!

Be strong ladies:thumbsup2 You desrve a vacation though!!

I completely agree. Last year I was on WW and the DP...I ate everything I wanted, including make your own marshmallows and rice krispy treats at Goofy's Candy shop. I ended up loosing 4 pounds during our stay because of all the walking.

It definately looks as though walking is the thing that makes it or breaks it. And of course your water. That is the easiest thing to do to stay on program. Has anyone actually totalled the amount of miles or steps they have gone? I'm going to take my pedometer just to see when I go in April.

I've taken a liking to sushi.....It is low in points and it is lightand tastey. Has anyone had sushi at Epcot (?Japan/China?). Do you think the new Yak and Yeti has this on their menu? Let me know ......

I lost 78 pounds on Weight Watchers in 2003-2004. I went from a size 18 to a size 4, and I am now a WW Receptionist. I decided a couple of years ago to go "on vacation" from WW when I went on a week's vacation. I didn't count or measure or anything. I gained 7 pounds that week. I will NEVER do that again! I was 15 pounds below goal at that time, so it didn't put me over my weight goal, but it sure was frustrating!

Now, I just try to go on maintenance while at Disney, rather than try to lose any weight. We walk a lot - my pedometer said over 6 miles per day, earning me about 3 activity points each day. The main thing I do is share everything I eat with my dh. This saves a ton of money, too! I drink only water. Dh also lost 30 pounds on WW and is at his goal, too. He can have more food than me, though, so he gets extra snacks. But whatever I eat, half of it is dh's. We usually share a dessert every night.

I don't see sushi on the menu at Yak and Yeti listed on allears.net.

For counter service, I like:

Pop Century Resort Food Court - they have "Mom's night out" dinner. On Tue and Wed nights each week, it is a turkey dinner. If I order the adult size, I share with dh. If I order the child's portion (which I do a lot at counter service), I eat it all. (I have no idea why they must call it "Mom's" night out though - couldn't it be called "wife's" night out?)

All Star Movies Resort Food Court World Premier - baked chicken dinner or roasted turkey dinner, they have both adult and child sizes.

All Star Music Resort Food Court Intermission - has the baked chicken and roasted turkey dinners also, child and adult sizes, plus a grilled salmon salad (I haven't had that - I don't eat fish). All Star Sports Food Court End Zone has the same as the Music Resort.

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons Food Court in The Land has seared tuna on mixed greens salad, grilled salmon, rotisserie chicken with veggie and mashed potatoes, and grab-and-go items here include sushi.

Hurray, I've lost another 4.6 pounds. I'm getting really excited about going to the big "D" a little smaller. I'm also taking all the great advice I received by all my fellow WW peeps.

Everyone keep strong and keep up the great work!!

GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still doing good too ... only gained (and lost it again) a couple pounds over my Birthday and Anniversary (they are very close together & family came into town) ... but am back on track again and losing again.

I will be a good weight when I go to WDW in February and since not on the DDP, I am really good about NOT ordering desserts ... now the bread thing is going to KILL ME! (maybe) ... I am trying NOT to overthink it.

KEEP IT UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

After reading some of the pps I get mad at myself. I have done WW for about a year and a half & have been at or well below my weight goal for a year. The weight came off pretty easy. I eat what I want when I'm at the world & even with the walking, know that I'm good to gain about 5-8 lbs. As long as I get right back on track when I get home, I'm okay with that. This year we had a second trip to the world & the party never stopped when I got home. I'm now over my WW weight goal by about 5 lbs. I'm so upset with myself & feel that the weight won't come off. I have so many cute outfits for summer that don't fit now & a trip to the world planned for May. I don't even know if I'm trying to ask a question here or just venting my frustrations with myself. I give all those that follow healthy eating at the world alot of credit. I couldn't do it....ok, wouldn't do it!;) We all know what a struggle this weight thing is so Thanks for listening...reading.. you know!!!

I am still lovin' this thread.

Just wanted to pop in and say I am celebrating 1 Year at Goal today!!!! :cheer2: Went in this morning to do my monthly weigh in to maintain my lifetime status and was down 1.6 since the beginning of November. Not bad when you consider Thanksgiving was just last week.

Looking forward to my third trip to WDW on Weight Watchers in March!

Keep up the good work everyone!

This IS a great thread!

My husband and I have are both WW members and we had basically already planned that that week, anything goes. Nothing crazy, like 2 hot fudge sundae's a day, but if he wants fettucine alfredo, he'll get it.

Then as soon as we get back...reality begins! ;)

You are already ahead of the game. You've realize that you went up a couple and know what needs to be done to get back to your goal. I think "starting over" from book one is step one. Use your current weight as your starting weight...make your first goal the 10%. You'll do great!!

Great work all of you. We made it through Thanksgiving and now Christmas is sneaking up quickly. Keep strong and motivated...just think how great we'll look next spring and summer at the World.

Happy Holiday to all!!!

First of all, :grouphug:

This is such a stressful time of year, and it's so easy to beat yourself up.

Here's another

You are really only a little bit over your WW goal. I would say -- don't fret about it too much while we are in mid-holiday, and aim for getting back on the program as a New Year's pressie to yourself. You absolutely can get where you want to be by May!!!

I was a commited Weight Watcher when I went in July 2005. I was counting my points and hovering near my goal weight. I didn't want to "weight watch" while on vacation, so I went off completely and never went back on...shame on me.

:scared1: You're scaring me! ARG!!!
I'm still doing good ... now lost 26 pounds ... one buffet holiday luncheon and Christmas to go yet. Then it will be just looking forward to and worrying about food at the WORLD! But as I read the strategies other WW peeps have posted ... I THINK I will be ok. Our TS meals are at lunch (and not on DDP so probably no dessert) but those CS meals look to be a killer. I am planning 1 burger during the trip - don't eat those much at all but it will be at the beginning of the week. Is Pecos Bill's WORTH the points???? No buffets during our stay. Those are WAY too tempting to me. I know I am getting better at this but still -- better to avoid temptation!

To those still on the plan - Keep it up - Good Work! To those who have wandered to the DARK SIDE again ... -- you can come on back - YOU CAN DO IT!!! :thumbsup2
