We are planning a trip to BCV this June and I am thinking of placing a grocery order. I see a lot of people on these boards talking about wegoshop and gardengrocer. Is one better than the other? How exactly does this work? do I need to be there for the delivery if I prepay and will they refrigerate my order if I'm not there? Do they call my cell phone and then I meet them, or do they just drop the food off at bell services? Is there a delivery charge? I know I can place a tip on the order, but then I guess I tip again if bell services delivers. Is that correct? Also, what would be a normal tip on the order? 20%? I'm trying to figure out just how much more this will cost than stopping at the grocery store and doing the shopping myself. Any help from seasoned travelers would be greatly appreciated!

I used garden grocer and i was pleased with the order process. I checked out wegoshop and it was a little mor complex and also the delivery charge was more than garden grocer. I paid by paypal and then tell them what time window you want the order delivered. if you arent at the hotel they will hold it at baggage until you return. There was no place for the tip or at least i didnt see one. I think i spent less than if i went myself. seems when i go i always end up picking up too much extra. Hope this helps.

We used Garden Grocer on our last trip. I believe the delivery charge was $10 and they delivered it to bell services who kept it refrigerated until we got there. We also pre-paid for the groceries and the tip so that if we weren't there when the groceries were delivered we wouldn't need to worry about the tip. The service was great, all of the fruit was fresh and everything was kept cold until we got there. I will definitely use them again next time we go!

We used gardengrocer for our May 6-11 trip. The service and products were great. Everything came as it should have. The delivery fee was $12.

:wave2:

We've used garden grocer for our last three trips and had no problems. I would highly recommend them.

I had a good experience with Garden Grocer and a not so perfect. The second time they forgot my cereal. I called and left a message and no one ever returned my call. I let it go and purchased cereal from the resort.

At Garden Grocer you can order off their website. You do not need to be there if you prepay. If you think you will be there, they will call your cell and also they will call if they leave it with bell services. There is a delivery charge. I paid 10 others have paid 12. I added on more for a tip because there was a space provided. The min. purchase is 50 dollars. I added on an extra five because part of the ten was tip too, I believe.

We used Garden Grocer and they did a great job. We will defenitely use them again. They left our order with bell services until we got in. We had a late flight. Delivery charge was $12 but well worth it.

We have always used Marge at Wegoshop and she has been great!!

We are arriving late this time and I would like to have my groceries delivered to the resort but will either wegoshop or gardengrocer deliver beer/wine if you are not at the resort?

Does Garden Grocer deliver beer or wine?

We are going to OKW for the first time in August and I'm leaning towards using Garden Grocer too. I'm also interested in knowing if Garden Grocer delivers beer, wine, liquor? Thanks.

And Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there.:flower3:

We have used GardenGrocer in the past, with great success. I like the service. I liked that they would deliver to the resort and that we could just call bell services and have the stuff dropped at our room.

We had a mix of cold, frozen, and room temp items and all were maintained at perfect temps. Kudos to GardenGrocer and CBR bell services on that one.

While we did not do it, you can indeed order alcoholic beverages. You have to call them to add that on. I believe you have to fax them a copy of your driver's license too in order for them to do it.

We liked the service so much, that we plan on using them again for our upcoming trip. Maggie

We used Garden Grocer for the first time last week. We prepaid (including a tip). They left the order with Bell Services and called DH's cell phone to let us know when the delivery had been made.

With Garden Grocer, you select the items you want from their website. Wine and beer are not in the list, so you add those items to the "Comments" section of your order, along with any other unlisted items you would like. The initial charge to your credit card will be for all of the items that were selected from their list. The items you add to the "comments" section are priced at the time they shop for them, so you will need to pay for those at delivery time.

Wow am I excited to hear about gardengrocer - I HATE grocery shopping especially on vacation!! Defnitely using them for our summer trip!! Thank you!!

Sounds like some great adivce out there. Can anyone give me Garden Grocer's web address??

We used Wegoshop for our trip last month. They were great. We set up the time for them to deliver and they were at our room at that time. No 2 hour window. They will also leave your order with Bell Services.

They will shop at any store that you choose. We did not specify a store and they chose to do the shopping at WalMart. They bring you the receipt for your order and you pay exactly what the ticket says plus a deliver fee. Not sure if Garden Grocer has set prices or not.

We ordered a case of beer and they only delivered a 12 pack. They returned a few hours later with the 2nd 12 pack and just left it with Bell Services for us tho. We did not have to pay a 2nd delivery charge.

Do be careful with having your order left with Bell Services tho. After they called our room and left a message that our groceries were there and being sotred, they could not find them when we called to have them delivered to our room. They ended up giving us a room charge credit to replace our stuff.

We've always used Wegoshop and never had any issues..

Their ordering system seems a bit more flexible than Garden Grocier...

Within the past year, Garden Grocier experienced some capacity issues where they had more orders than they could handle, but seemed to have gotten over those.
