In the past, I've always ordered from garden grocer and been very happy with them. (For anyone who doesn't know, both places have a great reputaiton, and will deliver groceries to your resort. Most vital is 2 cases of water, but we also order breakfast stuff and park snacks.)

I just went to start thinking about our order, and a pack of juice boxes that runs $1.99 in my local store is $3.79.

If that sort of difference is typical, I'm starting to think I would do better with wegoshop.

Anyone want to weigh in?? Either way I know I'll save a lot, both in terms of money and time.

I have used both companies. With We Go Shop you get the register receipt and then they tack on their service fee. We were ordering quite a bit of groceries and the total ended up around $500. It was a little surprising! We used GardenGrocer this past time and liked it more. The selection lacked a little bit and the prices were higher but there was no service fee. We were able to budget better and see the things we were getting on the list. They then charged for the groceries then so we were able to "prepay" for our vacation groceries. I think you will get lots of people who have reasons for liking both. Enjoy your vacation!

I have used wegoshop many times. Very friendly and will try to get whatever you may need.

I think I may remember that one of them won't deliver alcohol if that's a factor for you. I may be making that up though. We don't usually drink.

I like an occasional glass of wine with dinner, but don't really need to have any in our room. But thanks.

I ended up placing an order with Garden Grocer. The fact that they provided a grocery lst simply made it easier. (though I somehow forgot a half gallon of milk and have to call them later today.) We've used them before and have been happy with their service.

Thanks for the opinions!

If you forgot anything from your original order you will need to email them...just happened to me. It is billed separately but no additional delivery charge.

We used Wegoshop on our last trip only because DH is very picky and will only eat certain items (and certain brands). We had Jack's cheese pizza on our list and they brought us 4 cheese Publix pizza (a big no no in DH's book). It literally ruined the entire trip for him :( They were also late (which they called and warned us about but still...) Not sure I would use them again next time.

Did you call and tell them they brought the wrong pizza?

We were happy to use Gardengrocer last year. We liked being able to click on the items that we wanted online. They were a tad more expensive than what we might find in some stores, but nothing crazy.
Overall we were pleased.

gardne grocer has always had what we ordered waitng for us when we arrive. they do require at least a $40 purchase --which is no problem and they are a tad high but the convience is worth it..

wegoshop - they always are on target with our list - we order wine (Rosa Regale, that pink champagne in Italy? you can get a whole bottle for the price of 2 glasses!) I usually go to the publix website and shop the sale items -

I like that I can call wegoshop while I'm at the airport and tell them I forgot... (coffee filters one time, water another time) and they add it to the list. When we get in I can call and tell them to leave our order as we have reservations for dinner -

I'm sure garden grocer fills the needs as well, but I've been very happy with the service I've gotten from wegoshop.

I've used both services and I prefer Garden Grocer. Just shopping on-line makes it a bit easier for me b/c I would otherwise forget a lot of things.

Comparing costs, it's about the same overall. It's like the "service fee" that WeGoShop charges is built in to the prices of items at Garden Grocer.

My one experience with WGS was not very good, so that's why I've stuck with GG. I had received a text from WGS asking if I landed. I told them yes and they told me to call when I was on the way to the resort. I called while I was on Magical Express and getting off the bus. I waited in the lobby for about an hour and finally called again, saying that I've been waiting. The the actual delivery person called me and kind of yelled at me. She said that since I wasn't at my resort when I called, she went to another delivery stop and I was supposed to call again when I was actually at the resort. I told her that I called when I was literally getting off the bus, so I was at the resort. Once she arrived to deliver the groceries, she once again yelled at me, was not apologetic at all for the misunderstanding- she was on the offensive even though I didn't complain at all! She did not have a nice attitude. And she also told me how much I should tip her.

This was 3 years ago, so there's probably different people working. I heard that since then, they are under a new owner.

Many people have great service with WGS, but this was mine.

We have used both. I prefer WeGoShop because there is much more variety. You tell them what you want and they buy it. They give you the receipt and charge you exactly what they paid (plus the service charge.)

I thought the main advantage of GardenGrocer was free delivery with a $100 order.

The main advantages of WeGoShop is that you get to select exactly what you want. E.g. "2% milk one gallon, best price." And that they will give you a SECOND delivery on the same trip with a HALF price delivery fee!

If I found $100 plus dollars of items on the GardenGrocer site that I wanted, I would go with them (for the free delivery over $100.)

For us none of the cereal, juice, bacon, soft drinks,.... we usually get were on the GG list. So we came out FAR ahead using WeGoShop. In fact, for the money we spent at GG the previous trip we got exactly what we wanted and a bottle of Bicardi at WeGoShop. For smaller orders or picky eaters, WeGoShop is the way to go.

For large orders or those who want an exact amount ahead of time GG is the way to go.

HTH, Alicia

we prefer WGS just because I have a very specific list of items that I need and they can fill it or not depending on what's available.

I'd rather pay a service fee than have the items jacked up in price. It's just more transparent and I prefer that.

We used Garden Grocer on our last trip in April and it was fine. A bit expensive yes, but it was convenient. Another option that we used in the past, mostly because they had a brand and the price was better on something that we needed was Netgrocer.com

We've used We Go Shop several times and have always been pleased. Each time for us it has always been with the bell hop services when we reached the resort. Our main reason for choosing WGS is due to having picky eaters and needing specific brands as well as ordering a specific type of beer.

We have used WEGO Shop twice. First time our order was over $500. Both times the delivery person accompanied me to our villa and unpacked the groceries comparing them to the list she also called us from the grocery store to verify products (diapers) and brands. We also have them purchase liquor for us, the store they used was by far cheaper than any liquor stores that we've shopped at in the past. They are our go to shoppers, wish they were where I live.

We just used Garden Grocer for the third time in late June. We planned our menu around what items they had available. No problem. Our order came in just over $200 so no service charge (but we did add on a tip.) The order was exactly right! I received an email early in the morning saying that our items were waiting at Bell Services. After we checked in, I called Bell Services and had them deliver the order. Couldn't have been easier!
