I'm active on the cruise boards, but love coming over to the CB to lurk! :D

Well, we're a bunch of weary moms looking to get away for a long weekend and were wondering if any of you DISers have any suggestions. Since location is less important than the fact that we're not home folding laundry, we're open to any suggestion!

We'd prefer it to be easy from Boston/RI area (flying is ok if it's quick and not too expensive) and we'd like a nice place to relax and have some fun. We're considering: NYC, Spa in Cape Cod, Las Vegas (maybe too far for some of us) and a quick 3-day cruise on Royal Caribbean (awesome deal!). Any other suggestions? I'd love to hear your experiences, the more details the better. Most have done Disney recently with family and we're looking for something a little different this time around. I know you all will come up with something great!!! Thanks.

Newport?

Mystic, CT?

A nice B&B in the Berkshires?

Washington DC?

N. Conway, NH (shop 'til you drop)

When are you all planning on going? It might make a difference. Let me keep thinking.

I just got a brochure in the mail from www.capecodderresort.com and it looks WONDERFUL!

They have an INDOOR WAVE POOL and an onsite spa and 2 restaurants! :)

Since it's right on the Cape, in Hyannis, it won't be far for you ladies to travel. May I join you?? :p

Great ideas! The CapeCodder is actually the spa that we were looking into. If we don't go there, I'm definately looking into taking the kids there for an overnight. That indoor pool looks like so much fun. You're welcome to join us, SeaSpray, if we get there!

We'll be going in April or late March. Keep those great choices coming!

Kasar: That's exactly what I've been thinking, taking my sons there for a much needed break from this lovely winter weather ;) :p I know they'd love the indoor wave pool, and so would I! :)
