Weekday or Saturday at DC

Anybody got any advice as to whether its better to visit DC during the week or would Saturday be better?

We'll be in Orlando the last two weeks in August and I'm thinking Saturday would be good because at least DC limits the number of guests where the other parks we'll be visiting in the area don't but any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't think it matters. I went on July 4th of 2001 and the crowd was fine. Even went to SWF that night and saw the fireworks.
Just be sure to arrive by 08:30am so you're near the front of the line. Doing that means a short wait for checkin, snorkle station, and vest pickup.

It doesn't really matter which day you go since attendance is limited to 1,000 people per day.
