Week before Christmas Crowds

Planning a trip with DW, DD (6), DS(3), and DS (8 months) for 12/19-12/24.

How are the park crowds leading up to the holiday? And what are the best resorts for decorations?

With the 19th being the weekend before Christmas, I would expect crowds to build each day up to the holiday. If you are looking for lighter crowds, go a week earlier and I think you'd find it very light. As for the resorts, they are all nice during the holidays, but I would suggest dropping by WL. That tree is awesome. The parks aren't shabby either

We were there last year 12/13-12/23. The crowds were nonexistent up until the 21st. After that we saw a huge difference in the amount of people.

Every resort is decorated beautifully with the exception of the Polynesian (JMHO). We spent a lot of time resort hopping and looking around. The Grand Floridian and The Wilderness Lodge were my favorites.

How about the weather. What can you expect at this time?

We went the week before in 2000 and are doing the same again this year. Weather can be cold, it can be hot. Prepare for it all and be sure to watch the forecast before you leave. I have pics of us in MGM wearing tanks and shorts one day, and the next day covered head to toe with three layers of clothes in AK.
