Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Most TS will allow you to share no problem even on the dining plan - via Napoli is one that never will, and of course the buffets/prix fixe meals. Oh and any restaurant that you can order an all you can eat after - like WCC.
that's news to me...but then, we haven't gotten the DP for many trips as we find it less expensive to eat out of pocket...so maybe my info is old....hope it works out for you!
:goodvibes

I know there was a group of us on the Free Dining Thread all going the week after Thanksgiving - after the bonding into the wee hours while waiting for FD to drop, thought we could use a thread of our own to carry on in.

So, introduce yourselves, chat about your trip, carry on (my wayward son for you Supernatural fans)...

Google Doc to post plans:

Roll Call

-cut for length-

Just realized I never asked to be added! Me! Me! Add me!! :wave2: POFQ 11/28-12/4 with dad and aunt.

Picked up a copy of the new birnbaums for kids today for each of my boys. They've been poring over them for more than an hour and chatting nonstop about our trip (the little can't read, but still seems obsessed). Yay for sharing the excitement and for a future generation of DISers. :earsboy::earsboy:

Thinking about watching Wishes from the GF/Poly area on Wednesday 11/30. Has anyone ever done that before? Is it a good view?
I have plans for either Narcoossee's on Friday night or California Grill on Saturday night. They both pipe in music from fireworks. Hoping it is worth all the $$ and hype!!

Re: my question about watching the fireworks from the Poly/GF, does anyone know about how long it would take via monorail from the front gates of MK? Is there a long walk from whichever stop to the beach/dock? I know nothing :scared:

I guess we would need to monorail back to MK or EP and take a bus to resort from there?

Your quickest route to the GF would be take the boat from the MK and the GF is the 1st stop with Poly being the 2nd stop. If you get off at the GF then you are right there to watch. It's about a 5 minute boat ride. I'd you take the monorail it stops first at the Contemporary then TTC then Poly then GF. If you get off at the GF you would walk downstairs in the lobby and out the doors and it's about a 5 minute walk to the dock. Maybe a 10 or 15 minute monorail ride?

Thanks, boat it is!

Thanks, boat it is!

My kids enjoyed riding those little boats (just to be clear it's not the big ferry boat that runs to/from the TTC). There are signs for it as you exit MK. After the fireworks you can either take the boat back to the MK if it's still running (might stop at Poly first) or you can walk thru the lobby up the stairs and take the monorail. MK will be the 1st stop. If you have never been inside the GF lobby you really should. ..the smell must be like heaven for sure. And plus the gingerbread house will be up!
