Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

My favorite character meal is 1900 park fare dinner. The character interaction is the best. My youngest was in love with Prince charming and he danced with her (she wasn't walking fully yet, so he helped and supported her). It was one of the highlights of our trip. Plus we all know great Lady Tremaine Is.

We're going there for dinner for the first time this year. Can't wait!

Wellllllll I booked CBR Standard for our dates on a whim this morning because it was showing up on the Disney visa FD deal. I am cosbiderinf surprising the hubs because he really wanted to stay there instead of another value.

Gah help me decide. I'm worried about the size of CBR and the busses. And the extra $350 haha

I think if you can swing the extra money go for it. It's nice to try something new. I never stayed at CBR, but everyone says the same about CSR and we never had a problem. We actually request the area everyone tries to avoid on the DIS. Pay attention to which order the bus stops go and make adjustments when you catch the buses in the morning.

Let us know what you ended up decicding. Either way you will be in disney

I almost did the same thing this morning. Have been stressing about it. I feel like the moderate is a better deal BUT think my babies will like the kid friendly POP better. Oh Disney drama! Trying to just stay pleased with what we are doing. Plus last year we barely saw our resort!

We loved Pop. We didn't spend much time there, but it's a great resort. I would have happily returned this year but The hubs wanted to try something different.

I think we could use the resort more this time since we won't feel SO rushed. But idk how much swimming the kids will want to do if it's not super hot. I need a 7 month early weather prediction that is accurate ;)

CBR is beautiful, and the beds are bigger. :) I don't have anything to compare it to - it's the only resort we've stayed at - but we didn't have a problem with the buses, never had to wait for long or with a crowd. Our room was one of the furthest and we still went to the pool and used the food court (I hope we are closer this time, though!). I hope it's warm enough, the pool is amazing. The pirate splash pad!!

How were he buses? All those stops make me nervous. We won't have a rental car so I have to rely on the bussing.

I thought they were fine. We were in Jamaica which, at least when we were there, usually seemed to be the first stop, and we felt like we never had to wait long. Plus one of the benefits of all those stops is no matter where you are in the resort, there's a bus stop close. But like I said, we don't have a comparison - if your resort last time only had the one stop I can see how this would be different/annoying. But OTOH no crowds at the stops!

I'm so wishy washy - I cancelled CBR haha. I showed DH the map, and explained how big the resort is, and the busses and such and he was like "ok nevermind, that's far too much walking and buses for me"

I tried! haha.

lol!! You guys will have a blast either way :)

We ended up at CBR too. How many people in your party? You can multiple the difference between the qs and ddp and multiply it by the number of people to help you justify it :) I bet it cuts that cost down.

I'm stressed bc we changed to a standard room at CBR today from a preferred so we could add a day. It saved us 269. But all that was left was standard and we really wanted the xtra day. We have been to CSR in a preferred and it didn't seem to make that much of a difference. There were lots of busses. And at AKL last year we had a trek to our room and quick dining. Hope I don't regret it. But it's and xtra day and a savings!

The hubby talked me into sticking with sports, I told him we will skip next year and save for a bigger, better hotel in 2018 :D

Extra day and savings sounds great!

We were pleasantly surprised with CBR last year. Yes, it was big; however, it only took us 10 minutes pushing a double stroller to walk from the pirate rooms to the food court. I was very worried about the buses after the reviews I read. No problems there either. They were quick and efficient, actually more so than ASMo, we thought. Looking forward to using the pool this year!

I'm waiting for Southwest too. Did you get a decent rate buying the day SW opened last year?
