Wedding Weight Loss - Disney Style

ok, question for those who have done WW. I haven't gone to a single meeting, not really wanting to do the whole group thing. Besides, the closest one is a far distance. But I found a point calculator online and it says I should consume aprox 25 pts / day. I'm 5'8", 22yrs old, and 160lbs. Does that sound right?? I started yesterday and ended up being stuffed and having 2 pts left over! Also, don't you get 35 extra pts/week? Thanks girls/guys!! :)
 
i was 226 and 5'8..it started me at 28..as I lost weight, it lowered points..I am now at 22
35 points a week is extra

It is $16 a month for WW online and I think they have a free trial..you can try that

I too hate meetings, so I joined online

You SHOULD use them! That's why thery're there! My WW leader always says "you don't win some award for NOT using them!" It really depends on the person for how many to use... sometimes people gain if they don't use them all, sometimes people gain when they use even a few. Experiment for awhile! I've learned that my body does best when I have around 15 weekly points left. But I've also had plenty of losses when I've used them all!

You should ALWAYS use ALL of your daily points! :thumbsup2
 

My DF and I weigh in on Wed. (we skip the meetings) After Weigh ins we go out to dinner....we eat whatever we want we call it
"Cheat Night", here lately we have been splitting "cheat Night" dinners cause one of the rules of "Cheat Night" is you can not take left overs home and we are both eating so much less. LOL We alternate week by week as to who picks the place. Oh and we can on;y go if we both lose. Anyway we count this one night as all of our 35 extra points!
 
i only used my 35 for extras..like if we went to dinner..i rarely used them...i just found that worked for me..i know people that used them all every week and couldn't lose...it is 5 pts a day over ..that is a small meal..
 
thanks u guys for all the info and ideas. :) couldn't do this without the help! I'm actually having fun with the points. Like i said before, I was a program director at JC for a year, but am finding WW much easier! We'll have to see what happens with my WI on Monday!

::yes:: Do look for the free trial!! I started with 1 week free using their online program and now I can't quit it was SO easy to use, you tell it what you ate and it tells you if you can eat more! :lmao:

Alissa....You stayed exactally the same...That is great. I have never done that! LOL I go tonight at 6:30pm. We go to the meetings to weigh in. In my mind if I am paying $35 a month for someone else to take my weight then I will stick to it more. We can't handle the meetings though. They are ran by a 100 year old (not really, but close) lady who lost 15 poundds on WW 25 years ago. :rotfl2: :lmao: She doesn't do much for us. LOL

Lisa -- I attended a particular meeting for almost 2 years and then started just weighing in and heading to the gym, figuring an hour of exercise was more worth my time. Then I decided I needed the meetings so I tried a different one. I now go on Thursday mornings between the gym and work. The leader is absolutely awesome! Every single week, I walk out of there committing to memory ONE significant piece of information that I took from the meeting. I often find myself thinking during the week of something I learned. It has made a big difference in my mindset. The lesson I learned was that if the leader wasn't the right fit, I had to take the initiative to find a different meeting that would be edifying. I hope that helps!

Does anyone else feel like there doing all this hardwork and not losing any weight? I've been doing exercise classes and watching what i eat but i don't seem to be able to budge anymore weight. I've stayed the same for weeks now.:headache:
 
I am dropping an average of 2 pounds a week! Hopefuuly it will continue for the next 4 months.

Where did you find the online calculator at?
 
the first month, I didn't drop one pound..i was so upset..I was hungry and working out 3 times or more a week..
then suddenly, i started dropping..I go through periods of not moving..then it starts back again.

DON'T GIVE UP!
I made 65lbs today
 
Tonight Pete (DF) and I had a great weigh in! I lost 4.6 pounds and Pete lost 6.6 pounds. That brings us up to 28.6 pounds gone for me and 39 pounds for Pete......That is in 12 weeks! GO US GO US!

LOL.....Major alterations needed! I had lost some weight before I joined WW also. I am excited though and feel really proud of us!
 
I'm glad I came over here, girls! It's good to hear how well other people are doing - very motivating!

I started back on WW online earlier this week after a shocking weight on the scale. First time I weighed myself since I got home from working 8 months on a cruise ship + 6 days of Disney and Vacation Food, and now it's go time. I've got to get to the grocery store and stock up on 'success food', so it'll be easier to eat properly.

I'm looking to lose 20 lbs, but I'll take what I can get in the next 2.75 months.
