Wedding website

Can you add video's to the home made websites? As we are coming from the UK I'd like the people at home to be able to see the wedding on the internet. We saw one yesterday that was taken in Las Vegas and it was really good.
My Fiance works in IT so if it can be done I'm sure he'll be able to do it.

Wow! That's so cool! Is that one you had to pay for?
Yep - I believe it was around $119 for 24 months (our wedding is far away!), but you can order 6 months for $59, 12 months for $79, or 18 months for $99. We decided we wanted our own domain name (jamieandmichael.com) which was an additional fee of $25 (for two years)...it's only $15 for one year and $35 for three. There are a few other extras you can add as well, like a keepsake CD and extra (20 mb) video/audio space. ;)

There is also a video/audio section that is included with the site, but I'm not sure how long of a video you can upload, but you can buy more video/audio space if needed.

I love the site, and I think it's worth it just for the way you can personalize it. It seems so professional and you can basically put whatever you want onto the site. It could be a little pricey though along with all the other wedding expenses, but since my wedding is still so far away I haven't really dished out much $ yet (I know it's coming!). princess:

Yeah I am not thrilled with the Disney website at all. I will offer it to my guests so they can make ressies and what not but Dan and I bought a wedding window account. I have recieved many compliments from my guests about the amount of info on the site and the design. Once our Disney site is up and running I will just link it there.

Here is the site if anyone was thinking of doing this sort of thing but wants to check it out first:

www.maryanddan.com

Great site! :thumbsup2

I didn't think there was anything too wonderful or special about it. I didn't like that I couldn't edit it on my own. I ended up making my own wedding website, which was much better. Disney never even let me pick out the color background I wanted for the site and I had to always contact our wedding planner to add or update info. Then, the info. was never put in correctly. I think the sites are a tad dull and no personalization added. Some of the info. is still wrong on it...haha! Oh well, it's all over now! :) Anyway...here's the link to site Disney gave us if someone wants to see it.

I felt the same way :sad2: I was so disappointed with the options on the Disney site. I was excited when I first read about it, but I didn't get to choose anything, even though it said the bride can choose the colors, and in fact they misspelled my maiden name! It was a chore to get anything updated, so I gave up and made a free one on weddingchannel.com. The Disney wedding website was probably the only disappointing thing in the whole Disney wedding process for me.

pixie08 and DIsNeYSweEtHrTs- I just wanted to say I LOVE your websites! DF and I are actually deciding right now if it is worth the $ to get the super-cool site.

I love the disney wedding websites.. So personal through them
