I posted in another thread but that's in the wrong section and I'd like to get more input. I'll have about 8-10 people to transport from POR to SBP for the ceremony and reception. Here are the options my planner sent me:

Limousine (8 passengers) - $165.85
Van (11 passengers) - $162.75
Town Car (4 passengers) - $25.00

Not sure why the prices are what they are. Why wouldn't I just get 4 town cars to transport 12 people for $100?? Basically all the guests are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Would it be too difficult logistically to have the multiple town cars?? I would appreciate any experience that fellow brides have had with transportation.

Thanks!

we ended up getting a limo for 3 hours or what not. it was like something under $300. i'm glad we did. it isn't far at all and it was a drop in the proverbial wedding budget bucket. however, why are you providing the transport? i mean that not in a goofy way! i mean, i assume people aren't driving or renting cars? if so, and you are providing transport as the fabulous host you are, why not do the limo to make round trips? the town car is probably by the trip i guess? i wanted a town car, but i am glad we had the limo because a town car would have been not enough room for me and my gigantic dress. also, we rented our own towncar to take us to port canaveral for our honeymoon and i have to say i waas underwhelmed with the town car itself - it did the job but it's kinda a cr@p shoot as to the "quality" of the ride if you will!! the limo could make round trips. or people can get themselves (or you can pay for) a cab ride - that should be "town car" cost?

good luck deciding! :thumbsup2

Is that per hour?

We had a limo bring guests from POR and POFQ to SBP. The limo waited (or came back) and brought them to the Contemporary for lunch. To go from the Contemporary back to POFQ I had 2 vans (I had 2 because of the 2 resorts and not the number of guests). We rode from POFQ to SBP to the Contemporary in a Rolls. We had a town car bring us from POFQ to EPCOT and back for our dessert party. Didn't realize until now but we had every possible option :)

I was glad to have one vehicle make one trip. Plus the kids got a kick out of riding in a limo.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Those are the 1-way prices for each of those forms of transportation. You can totally just do 4 town cars, but be prepared to hear horror stories from Disney about how town car drivers will step over their own grandmothers to grab an airport fare and may leave your guests stranded. :lmao:

We're thinking of doing this really for one reason: save ourselves the headache! No one is that no one is going to have a car as we'll all be flying in and staying onsite. So our guests will either have to take Disney transportation to the wedding or call a cab. I'd really hate to get that phone call at 950 that so and so is still waiting for the bus or cab and might not make it to the ceremony.

at a certain point, iit is up to the guest to get themselves about and hopefully you will not have to hear one whiff of stress on the day and worry where people are! it sounds like a small enough group though, which is good, because still, i'm betting some people will be early, some late (for the ride i mean!). given what you've shared, i would say get the van and offer one trip over all together and back or however that works. you want economy of cost but also get everyone in the one trip and be done with it!!:cool1:
