Wedding Contract Received

Hi all

I have just received my wedding contract by email and I have a few questions that I hope that someone can answer

Firstly my contract says that I have a hold date which is Oct the 6th. I can't possibly return the contract by then, and I'm sure they know that the mail takes on average of 6 days from the UK to the US. So if I return the contract late, will I lose the date?

Also it states that I will have to pay $90.00 for outside vendors. I am hiring outside photography and videography, so does that mean I need to pay $90.00 per outside vendor or $90.00 in total?

Can anyone help as to how long it would take for me to get to Sea Breeze Point from the The Caribbean Beach Resort? In the contract it states that I am required to be at the ceremony point 30 min prior to it starting. My Wedding is at 10.00am. My make up artist is scheduled for 08.00am, so it looks like I will have to reschedule them for earlier. So I'm just trying to get an estimated time so I can let them know.

So if anyone can help me on any of the above, I'd be really grateful. There is just so much to read in the contract and it is so formal! I have emailed Tanis but she isn't very reliable in getting back to me quickly.

I can really only help with the hold date -- I had a problem with that myself because the first contract I mailed I sent to the "wrong" address. It was a misunderstanding on my part of the Canada Post system up here and I should have sent it to the P.O. Box address. I was tracking the package and by the time I realized the original contract I had sent was being returned undeliverable there was no way that I could get another one to them in time for the hold date. I panicked! But I explained the situation to my co-ordinator and told her about the mail delay between FL and Canada...she was completely understanding and reassured me that she was the only one who could "release" our date and because of our difficulties would not do so -- so just make sure that Tanis knows about the situation.

I wondered myself about the outside vendor fee -- I wasn't expecting that -- I haven't received the final price yet though so I'm not sure if it's $90 per vendor or total. I've heard other intimates say that they weren't actually charged that fee....so...here's hoping....

Unfortunately I don't know about timing issues between the Carribbean resort and Sea Breeze Point, but if it helps I'm scheduling 20 mins for a return trip between POFQ and the wedding pavillion -- the limo thing is kind of complicated isn't it? I have no idea if 20 mins is realistic...but I figure the co-ordinator will let me know if it isn't.

I can only answer for certain about the date. It seems to be a common error on their end, as my date was incorrect as well. I received mine on Tuesday, September 26 and the original e-mail said I had to return it by mail on the same day! Moments later, I received another e-mail with the correct date of Tuesday, October 10. And I'm in the States, so you may get longer. Hope this helps!

As for distance between resorts, it isn't very far to anywhere on property from anywhere on property. Will you be using your Disney-supplied limo at that time? I would probably leave about 20 to 30 minutes before you want to get there, which would leave you plenty of time and even some extra, "calming down" time! Good luck!

I'm sure if you run the timing to get your contract by your WP, they will figure something out for you. I am in Canada, but I was totally paranoid and sent our documents back by FedEx!

As for the outside vendor fee... Even though it is mentioned in their correspondences, I think most Intimates are not charged it. I am also waiting for my final pricing in the next month or so and hope to NOT see the $90 fee for my outside vendors!
