Weather this year....other than hurricanes!

For all of you Florida residents getting ready to weather another hurricane, our prayers are with you.

Now, if you are still reading these boards I have a question for you. Other than during and around the hurricanes you have experienced this year, has the weather been more or less rainy than normal? Are you getting lots of rain or is it the normal afternoon shower for a few minutes? I am trying to plan the things to pack for our trip and am wondering if the weather is a normal year or not. Also are the temperatures pretty normal or hotter or colder than normal this year?

I am not in Orlando, but the Tampa Bay area (where I am) is only about 90 miles w-sw. Personally, other than the hurricanes, I think the weather has been pretty status quo. Semi-regular afternoon and evening showers plus lots of heat and humidity.

The best thing to do is just keep checking the weather (I personally like accuweather.com) as it gets closer to your trip. But I'd say you can definitely plan on it being hot, humid, and maybe a shower or two.
