Going to the world 3 weeks today!

Started getting mine and DBF clothes ready for packing and I am slightly concerned! What can I expect over there temperature wise? I don't mean whether it will rain or be sunny etc, I mean temperature!

Are we taking shorts all the time? :scratchin

Last year we flew 19th oct and it was chilly first thing and last thing, we have to buy our girls some long trousers

I akways take a cardi and a long pair of combats or something similr just incase

It should be warm most of the time. You may have a shower or two (pretty light) as you are coming in hurricane season. If you can get a plastic rain poncho pre-packaged in a little bag( we have them here at the grocery store, Primark may have them with you). You can carry it in a fanny pack in case you need it if it rains. If you don't need it, don't open it up. This will save you packing space in your suitcase. (WDW does sell rain ponchos, but they can run about 5 pounds each. Nice souvenir. Your choice). A light jacket should be fine for evenings. Maybe one pair of long pants if you are the cold type, but I don't think you'll need any long pants to be honest. October is cooler generally than September. The weather is much milder than UK. (I was there this July and found it quite chilly most days.) Have a great vacation.:cheer2:

It will be HOT - low 90s :thumbsup2

The only time you might need sleeves is in the ac of restaurants!

We go Sept most years and it's usually low 90's/ high 80's. I usually take a cardi or something for evenings as buses or restaurants air conditioning can be cold.

Same here. I'm usually fine in shorts and tshirts all day and evening but wife always likes to take a light top out for dinner as it can get chilly.

We usually brave out the rain but last year there was a couple of heavy showers so we bought ponchos in Epcot. Felt a bit stupid at first but when we saw everyone else in them it was ok! Plus, they do a good job of keeping you dry. Just wear flip flops or sandals rather than trainers so your feet feel ok in the rain. Nothing worse than soggy socks and trainers!!!!

Cool, thanks for the advice folks :thumbsup2
I was looking at the clothes I have out to pack and it's ALL shorts and t-shirts and I was think 'am I actually going to need any longer trousers are cardi's :scratchin

I wear a pair of jeans on the plane and take 2 light cardigans with me. That way I have them with me without having to pack them. We do laundry while there so we don't go too crazy packing lots of clothes.

Last year we were there from 23rd September and the first week was HOT and humid! No need for sleeves in the evenings. There were two evenings at the end of our stay when I needed a cardi on while going back to the resort on the bus, but that was mainly down to the aircon. Also one morning when we had to leave before 7 am just before we came home, I wished I'd taken a cardigan with me, but within an hour I was glad not to have had to carry it around.

You will be fine with what you ave to pack. I fly in loose combat style trousers and never feel the need for them during our trip. I take a pashmina if we're are going out for dinner but that's because the ac in some of the restaurants and the buses can be on the cool side. Over all we have found the temps to be wonderful. And it's got to be better than what we have had here all summer :)

I have also been worried about the weather as we usually go in the middle of september and come home at the end of the 1st/2nd wk of October!

Icant stand horrible cold weather and since we only get to go every 2 years we like to make the most ofthe water parks and pools so i NEED it to be hot to use them! Im not worried about it being colder in the evening although I think ill really miss the wonderful feeling of being out in the dark later at night and being nice and warm!

I was coming out the Cinema a wk or so ago and it was 9.30 and still wonderfully warm and I turned to Dh and said this soooo reminds me of Florida :) so i do hope its not much colder then the Middle to end of september

Last year we went end of October/start of November. It wasn't that cold but we didn't have the best weather. On a couple of days I had to wear a jumper.

This year we are going on 17th September, I researched the weather and the usual temps range from 20s to about 28.

That's ideal for us. There is a chance of rain. But when isn't there. Last year we had to change a few of our days around from waterparks as the weather was rubbish. It was overcast most days.
So a lot of our pictures are of clouds.

Definitely think this year will be much better as we are going earlier.

I bought some cheap ponchos off eBay that we'll take in case of showers.

Those are great conditions for taking photos during the day :)

You will find it a lot more humid in September than in October. Second time we have noticed a significant drop in the humidity alone between the last week of September and the first week of October. I don't really think there was a huge temp difference, if any - it's the humidity that makes it feel so much hotter.

Lots of pool time. It's a great time to go. Enjoy your trip :thumbsup2
