So sorry that happened to you! I had something happen like that to slightly the same effect--but not the same. I had booked (through a third party) what I thought was a dancing waters view at the Disneyland Hotel (overlooking that water show) and when I checked in we were in a standard room. I asked about a water view and they said it was 50$ more a night and that my room rate was a standard view. So basically, we weren't exactly downgraded, it was a glitch with the travel company we'd made the ressies with. Still, it's too bad when you are expecting (and think you have paid for) one view and end up with a standard. Hope your next trip goes better!

We had a great vacation in spite of being downgraded and we loved our stay at Pop but after reading all these replies I'm disappointed I didn't ask for a manager. I'll at least send them a letter so they know they have an unhappy guest and if it ever happens again I'll be sure to get us in a room of equal or better value even if it means them moving us to another resort...of course, it will probably never happen again now!!
I could see my DH now. He would quickly step aside and let me do my thing. See, I am one of those "its the principle of the matter" type people!!
