We stayed in Cinderella's Castle

Thanks for the great details....That surely would be a dream come true.....So very exciting.....

How wonderful for you and your family! I can only imagine how heavenly that would be. I want to know what happens when the park closes...did you look out the windows? Did you see workers or was it quiet? Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the pictures! :woohoo:

The park closed at 12:30 am that night because of the Pirates and Princesses Party. I looked out the windows late but it is hard to see out of them because they are stained glass. The suite is located where the three stained glass windows you see on each side of a corner of the castle. I did not see any workers but all the street lights, etc are on all night. We did not get to wander around at night. In fact whenever we went into the foyer a CM would pop out of a nearly concealed door and ask if we needed anything. I also accidently hit the latch on the emergency window in the morning when I opened a curtain. I closed it quick but still had a knock at our door within about 30 seconds. The usual highly protected secret backside of the park remained quite hidden. Even from up there everything you see is perfect.

I am so excited to hear a first-hand report of what this is like! Thank you for sharing this with all of us!

:wizard:

Well....its hard to come down from our experience but its back to reality. Huge reality check when we hit the airport and our flight was cancelled and we were rerouted through Atlanta and it added 1.5 hours to our long flight back to Kalispell, MT. Add the 30 degree temp and fresh snow and I am sure we aren't royalty anymore. Its back to doing laundry and going to the store because there is no food in our house.

The pictures are almost ready. My husband loaded them on a site and found out too late that it put small pictures from other peoples pages in a column to the right and sooooooooo many of those pictures were NOT appropriate. He is trying again on another site so we can get a link for you all.

stay tuned

WOW!!!pixiedust: Sounds like you had a Magical time!!!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story!

Gogriz, Congratulations and thank you for sharing your exciting win with us!

I would have asked a CM if you and your family could take a solo stroll around MK after the park was closed. It sounds like they may have granted your wish!:wizard:

I won a day trip to WDW several years ago that was sponsored by a local TV station. The TV station broadcast their Friday early morning show, live, from Epcot. It was very strange being in Epcot before the sun came up and the park was closed to the public!

I am so jealous !! Thank you for sharing your wonderful trip. It sure is nice when "regular" people win special things !!:yay:

Oh wow. That is amazing. I am a little bit jealous though! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Awesome on your win! I can't wait to see your pictures.

I was down there on the day when they were just starting this and when they told us about the castle and different prizes I knew the castle would be the most awesome thing to win. Of course we left the day that it started, just my luck. :sad2:

Very exciting, and cool, and everything everyone else said!! It is so wonderful to hear all the details first hand.

THANK YOU for sharing with us!!! (And Congratulations!!)

We just got a lot of sideways shots of them leaving the room when he thought he was turning it off. Those "camera hanging from the lanyard" shots, you know.

We had a Christmas like that! Every time one of the kids would pick up a present to open it the camera would turn off. And then lots of close up pictures of the couch!!

I'm so happy for your family! And like everybody else said, I would be happy to hear more and can't wait to see your pictures!

I seem to remember when this was first announced that the suite would only accomodate 4 people. I wonder what would happen if a larger family won the night's stay??

Just curious, were you already staying somewhere onsite? CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :) :cool1:  :woohoo: :cheer2:

Congrats! My DDs would literally :faint: Patiently waiting on those pics. Thanks so much for posting.
