Day 7 – The Fam goes home and we do MK on a Saturday????

Minnie, Belle, Beast and Lightening were gone before the rest of us were even awake. We woke up and began packing our plan was to check the luggage and leave the rest with bell services after saying goodbye we were going to head to a park. Snow and Ariel had both wanted to ride TSM again so we thought we would go to DHS. I got packed while Animal took Ariel and Snow swimming. After packing I sat and talked with the rest of the fam. The Cat – who has some gastrointestinal problems – apparently became sick :sick:Friday evening on her way home from DTD.:sad2: Everyone had decided that vacation was time to throw the rules out the window and the Cat cannot eat anything – poor kid – she likes food – just HATES her – but she had eaten cheeseburgers, fries, desserts, and anything else she could find and in LARGE portions. So her stomach started to rebel – we all decided it was better to happen at the end of the trip as she truly enjoyed herself and said she would do it all again.

I got to hear how beautiful Illuminations was :)– something we have NEVER seen – I know that is terrible:confused3 in 7 trips to WDW!!! IT is on our MUST to list for Sept 2010!!!!

The Fairy Godmother could not stop laughing because Minnie had gotten lost again!!:lmao: When they got off the bus at OKW Minnie NEEDED a cigarette and of course with Tow Mater on a scooter he had to be unloaded last. Minnie could not wait:headache: and assured Fairy Godmother she would be fine to find her way back to our rooms. FG had sort of taken on the role of watching Minnie because she is a wanderer. (the humor here is that Minnie is my Biological Mom and FG is the Mom of my STEPMOTHER!!!) Well apparently Minnie did make it to a room – just not hers :lmao:– so about 30 mins later she calls Eeyore’s cell phone to find them saying her room key would not work.

Eeyore says where are you ?
Minnie – building 16
Eeyore – we are building 14!!!:rotfl:
Minnie – laughing the whole way back keeps Eeyore on the phone until she is found!!:rotfl:

So if you were in building 16 on Friday April 16 I apologize:guilty: thoroughly if someone attempted to enter your room!!! She meant no harm and as you can see from the family photo she is a whopping 4’10” and 88lbs so she could really not hurt a fly!!!!

So now we are all laughing and Minnie isn’t even there to join us. Everyone had their bags checked at the resort – this is one perk that is beyond description of how wonderful it is.::yes:: Anyway we say our goodbyes – I am so thankful for a wonderful week and everyone truly seemed to have a great time. :grouphug: Over to the bus stop as we wait for ME with the fam. There Snow decided that we didn’t ride Peter Pan and that is “ALL I WANT TO DO!!!!” So we decide to do MK – even though we don’t really want to go for a third day – its all about the kids right??:confused3

We wait for a bus for MK and wait – and wait – it takes forever – so we finally get there and the mass of people to get in is just nuts :crowded:– I mean it is almost noon and there is a sea of people to go through the turnstiles. I can tell this is a bad idea – we go to get FP for Peter Pan and we cannot ride until 2:20pm – 2 hrs and the lines for everything are NUTS – we go penny hunting but the crowds are crazy – did I mention that we are stroller renters from Magic Stollers. They have the most awesome set up and a great price – well in my infinite wisdom I never thought that since we were taking a late flight out we would have to spend the last day without a stroller:scratchin. Normally we have no problems walking – however I am an excessive worrier and slightly claustrophobic so the masses of people making it difficult to keep track of my girls was wearing on my nerves – even knowing that Animal had one I was fearful that one would let go just for a second and be gone. (OK I must interject that I am aware that I am completely crazy :worried:and I have irrational fears about those sorts of things however in my line of work – I unfortunately deal with those sorts of situations often.)

At this point I want to GET OUT – no luck still 90 minutes until Peter Pan so we go for lunch. Oh the beauty of Columbia Harbor House upstairs :cloud9:– although the downstairs was so full you could not move – I remembered a tip from my PassPorter to go upstairs – open tables and LOTS of space!!! Just the break I needed!!! Snow wants a turkey leg so Animal goes across the street to get her one. When he returns I go to get the rest of our food. After finishing we look over our options – we decide to hunt for more pennies and wait out our FPs. We were able to get some we did not have.

MK on a Saturday is a bad idea – I don’t know if it is always like this but WOW – they had a roped line OUTSIDE of IASW with a 40 minute wait :scared1:– I have NEVER seen it like that. I will say that the Fantasyland construction also made things feel much more closed in and I’m sure that didn’t help the crowd:crowded: feeling. After riding Peter Pan which as we are getting on Ariel starts crying saying she doesn’t want to ride. We go straight for the exit – anything is better than this!!!

So back to OKW we go – my plan was to shower off the girls – Ariel has very sensitive skin and sunscreen breaks her out – even hypoallergenic – so I wanted to be sure she was cleaned up and then I was going to put their PJs on for the plane ride. We went to community hall and played air hockey and colored. I went to shower the girls and realized there are no wash rags – I sent Animal to see if he could get some – no luck there is a housekeeping policy about no washrags in the bathhouse showers? OK so I do the best I can with a bar of soap, I had disposable wash clothes in our OL – note to self put a few in our bag for the last day wash off – IF we ever leave that late again!!! :confused3 We get cleaned up and sit in the TV area to wait of the ME. How depressed we all are. Snow starts crying. Ariel joins in because whatever sister does she must too – so I decided it was OK to cry – so if you were in the lobby/TV area of OKW about 5:30pm on April 17th and saw this display – I apologize not – we were entering our Post Disney Depression!!!!!

Aboard ME and off we go to MCO – through security and off to eat dinner – we go to the Outback and have a nice dinner – calling to check on everyone – Minnie, Belle, Beast and Lightening were home and already relaxing and getting adjusted to life in the COLD!!!! It was 42 degrees when they landed in Pittsburgh!!!Tow Mater, Eeyore, Fairy Godmother, Tink, the Cat and Simba were just boarding their second leg of their flight in Atlanta to continue onto PIT. We ate and went to the gate – oh wait they changed the gate on us – good thing Animal was paying attention – because I was beyond tired and had not a brain cell left. OK on the plane – girls in PJs, with their lovies and blankies and out like lights they are!!!

Next problem in our plan to sneak an extra day in with a late flight- baggage claim and getting to the car. I have to say we have traveling down to a science – Snow is a HUGE help – she can pull a rolling suitcase by herself and on our way to WDW carried the Fairy Godmother’s bags the whole way through the airports. She knows to stay by us and will hold onto my shirt or purse if my hands are not free. Even Ariel has taken to pulling her own bag – as long as it isn’t too big!!! When we land we go to baggage claim – get our luggage and we all take the walkway to the extended parking area.

PROBLEM- landing at 11pm with tow sleeping girls!!! Luckily Snow wakes up bright eyed and ready to go – Ariel – not so much!!! We make it to baggage claim and the girls sit down – our bags come and we are trying to decide – should we use the airport shuttle? Should Animal use the shuttle and come get us? Should Animal take the walkway? Another problem – IT IS COLD in Pittsburgh 37 degrees. :crazy2: I have coats and blankets for the girls but the abrupt change is still a lot for two tired girls – Animal gets tired of waiting for the shuttle after about 20 minutes and we decide to all walk – not horrible – Ariel is tired and whiney but does much better than I expected. Snow is the trouper she always is helping her Daddy so I can carry Ariel part of the way. We made it – our truck the girls are buckled in and covered up. We are loaded and the three of us sleep the whole way home while Animal drives.

We pull into our garage about 12:45am – our fur baby – Chewy doesn’t even care that we are home :upsidedow– he spent the week with his grandparents – Animal’s parents and Animal’s mom had brought him home late that evening to be there for us. We carry the girls us to bed and don’t even unload the truck – to bed we go!!!!

WDW trip #7 down and onto planning Number 8!!!!!

UP NEXT - final thoughts on traveling with a family of 14!!!
