We were up and it this morning at about 6:30. This morning we had 8:05 reservations at Hollywood and Vine. We made our way to the bus stop and waited for about 5 minutes. The funny thing is when we got on the bus it was 7:33, just like the previous morning. The ride from POP to Hollywood Studios is really short and before we knew it we were going through bag check. We made our way to the turnstyles to check in for breakfast. For some reason we were not on the list. I was glad that I brought our confirmation numbers, but I didn't need it because we were on the list inside. Here is a picture of the girls and I on an empty Hollywood Boulevard.
We checked in at the podium and we were called in about 5 minutes later. We were greeted by our server Sandy and she explained how everything worked. We went up to gather some breakfast. I was excited to have my first Mickey waffle and I made a breakfast burrito that was really good. Erin's favorite was probably the ham. Ava was happy to have a banana that she insisted that she had to open and it needed to remain whole. Does anybody else have a kid like that? Stu was just happy to have some coffee.
The first character that greeted us was JoJo. Erin knew who that was, but Ava really didn't. They really need to update the characters here. It would be nice if they brought Oso in.
Next up was Leo from Little Einsteins. The girls both enjoy that show, but Ava was not so hot on Leo.
After Leo, June made her way around.
Following June's visit they had a little song and dance session. They did the Hot Dog song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I was surprised to see Ava considering the idea of going up to Leo.
The final character to stop by was Goliath. JoJo had signed for him earlier, so he just posed for pictures. Ava was not a fan of Goliath.
There wasn't alot of people at this breakfast. Each character was around at least 3 times and we were done by 8:40. I really think they need to update the character selection. Since we were done early we made our way outside. There was a rope that kept us off of Hollywood Boulevard, but the CM that was there said we could go out to the main rope when the turnstyles opened! This was awsome because we ended up front and center for the rope drop.
After the little opening show they had we walked with the masses to Toy Story Mania. We basically got right on the ride after we made our way through the maze. This ride was so much fun and definitely worth the hype.
We got through so quickly that we were able to make it with plenty of time to the 9:40 Playhouse Disney Show. Ava was very excited to see this because her favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Here is Ava waiting for the show to start.
Here are a couple of pictures from the show.
After Playhouse Disney the girls and I went to Voyage of the Little Mermaid while Stu went on Rock n Roller Coaster. We met up with Stu after the show and went through the gift shop at the Animation Building to see what characters were there. Aren't they so cute?
We all did the Great Movie Ride next. About this time Ava was getting sleepy, so when we finished here she climbed into the stroller and fell asleep. Erin and I went on Tower of Terror after we got a rider swap pass. We basically walked right in and before you know it we were being loaded. Erin didn't really know what this ride involved, so she didn't know enough to be scared. She ended up loving it and quickly went back on with Stu. She is such a daredevil!
Ava slept through lunch at Backlot Express, where we had the veggie sandwich and chicken nuggets. This place was probably the busiest counter service place we encountered all week. Following lunch we made it to the 1:00 showing of High School Musical 3 show, where we had to wake up Ava because we had to park the stroller. Erin was disappointed to find out that it wasn't the "real" characters from the movie. After the show we decided to fit in the Muppet 3D movie before staking out a spot for the Block Party Bash.
