Today was an early Extra Magic Hours day at Epcot. I was probably awake at about 6:00, so I decided to go down to the food court and get breakfast for my crew. Since it was so early there was only one station open. It made the choice pretty easy-we had waffles. I brought it back to the room where we had a fun little picnic.
We made it to Epcot in time for the rope drop and headed directly to Test Track. While Stu and Erin rode the first time, Ava and I went to Soarin' and got fastpasses. By the time we got back they were waiting for us. Erin and I used the rider swap pass and got right back onto Test Track. The CM didn't even take our pass because there was nobody waiting. Erin LOVED this ride. She really enjoyed the part where you burst through the doors to the outside.
Next up Erin and Stu went to Mars. Ava and I waited in the gift shop where she tried on some hats.
Ava was really admiring the pins here. We ended up striking up a conversation with a CM and another visitor. The visitor thought it was neat how interested that Ava was in the pins. She proceeded to take out a lanyard and asked who she liked and she said Tink. The woman said that Tink was her favorite too and gave her a pin! I thought that was so sweet.
Next we did Spaceship Earth and walked right on. It was about 9 at this point. After we played some games at the end of the ride we headed to The Land. I had to try out the Strawberry Shortcake at Sunshine Seasons and it did not disappoint. Following our snack Stu and Erin rode Soarin'. Ava and I were going to ride Living with the Land, but it shut down right before we got there. I ended up riding Soarin' by myself because Erin didn't want to go back on it. Stu took them over to The Seas while they waited and they were entertained by the mine, mine seagulls.
We rode Nemo next and then went to see the Crush show. That was pretty entertaining. A little boy asked him how to make quarters and Crush asked him if he was at the right show.
We headed to World Showcase at about 11 and rode the Gran Fiesta Tour. We headed to Norway after the ride because we had an 11:55 ADR at Akershus. We checked in and were seated within 5 minutes. First up we got to meet Belle. Erin was so excited, Ava not so much.
Our servers name was Christian. He explained a couple of the meals to us and also told us about the buffet. Stu had the Venison Sausage and he seemed to enjoy it. The girls got crazy and had hot dogs. I had the Kjottake, which was basically meatballs and mashed potatoes. The part that I liked the best was the cold buffet. All of us would have been fine just having that.
Our food arrived and the princesses started making their way out. The doorway they came through was about five tables away so we didn't have to wait long. Erin was so excited.
First up was Snow White. This meal was when we realized that Ava wanted nothing to do with the princesses. She just wanted to eat her hot dog.
Erin was happy to meet her.
Next up was Erin's personal favorite, Sleeping Beauty.
The picture of Erin and Cinderella turned out really nice.
Last, but not least, was Ariel.
After lunch we decided to head back to Pop for some rest. Ava was tired, but still a lady.
We got back to the resort and we all crashed. I woke up at about 4:15 and asked if anybody wanted to go swimming. Erin was game, so we went down to the bowling pin pool.
After about ten minutes she decided she wanted to go to the kiddie pool.
After we had been down there for a while Stu and Ava decided to join us.
After dinner we cleaned up and headed back to Epcot. We had a 7:55 dinner reservation at Rose & Crown. Erin and I decided to use our rider swap pass from earlier to do Test Track again. We got right to the loading doors and the ride went down. We waited for about 15 minutes and it still wasn't going so I told her we would have to move on because of our reservation.
We checked in to Rose and Crown and this was our longest wait of the week. We got in at about 8:25 and we were seated inside so that was kind of a bummer. For dinner Stu had the pork loin and he loved it. I had the Chicken Mushroom Pie and the Toffee Pudding for dessert. I really enjoyed both. The girls had the meaty macaroni and I don't remember them eating much.
Around 8:50 our server Heather brought us out to the viewing patio for Illuminations. We enjoyed the show, but we were really crammed on the patio. After Illuminations we went back in for dessert and visited with Heather. We finally left at about 9:40 and we had to drag our tired selves home.
