I was surprised by my little one. She loved the characters whose faces were covered, but really wanted nothing to do with the face characters. The only exception was Tink.
I have looked at it every day since we have gotten home!
I don't think it would be possible to top it!

It is fun getting to share the story here. Nobody at home seems to realize what a big deal this was.
My girls were so excited to see the castle too. They had no idea what was in store!

After our group shot Mickey took the girls by hand and led them towards the train. It was time to get ready to head towards the front of the park for opening. I LOVE THIS PICTURE!
Along the way Dennis just kept snapping pictures. He was the best. If he hadn't been there we wouldn't have any of these pictures. First there was Snow White-one of my personal favorites.
Aladdin and Jasmine:
Alice and White Rabbit(and Goofy)
Pluto. He is such a good boy.
We loaded up on the train and Dennis told a story about it. This particular train is only used for the opening ceremony. There were openings on both sides of the car so the characters can get in on the one side and then when they get to the front of the park they exit on the other. The cars that are used during the day are only open to the one side. When the train is done at the opening it gets parked until the next morning. Sorry to ramble, but I thought it was interesting.
Dennis continued to snap pictures while we visited with Mickey.
Dennis would yell back to Chip and Dale to see if they were behaving. One would shake his head yes and then point at the other and shake his head no. They were so much fun and became a favorite of our family.
Erin and Ava also had fun playing peek-a-boo with them.
I love this shot he got of Pluto, Donald and Daisy.
The girls were also having fun playing with Pluto. He was sitting in the car behind us and was playing peek-a-boo.
Here is a picture of Ava having a heart to heart with Mickey while Erin is playing with Pluto.

It was time to make our way to the front of the park. I was almost nervous knowing we were going to be in front of a big crowd. I got over it and just let the moment take over. We got off of the train to be greeted by our new friend Scoop.
One of the dancers came along with a bag of HUGE pixie dust for us to toss.
Here Scoop is introducing us. He told us later that he introduced as being from North Carolina instead of North Dakota. Oh well.
We completed the countdown from ten and it was time to toss our pixie dust.
Here Scoop and Mickey are trying to get us to stand closer to the rail. Scoop said the people could see us better and the pictures would turn out better.
The crowd begins to thin out to begin their adventures in Magic Kingdom!
Mickey and Scoop escort us through the train when the ceremony is finished.
I thought we would just be sent on our way at this point, but this is Disney. Mickey once again took my girls and started walking them to our next stop.
Up next: Saying goodbye to our friends.
