WOW, It is so hard for me to put to words the feeling I have when I step foot at PBH, but again I will do my best to tell you about our trip. Friday 12/27 we arrived late and stayed at the Hyatt I won that for 30 bucks a night on priceline so it was a place to lay your head. I tell you the place was in good repair and everything was absoultley clean and spotless in our room and we were granted all our request which where connecting recently renavated rooms. The crib was in our room with a packet of baby products when we arrived.
Saturday 12/28 We arrived at PBH around 11 and check in was a breeze, actually all three parts of my rooms were ready this made a great start to our day. We had a Villa suite with connecting rooms on each side on a 2queen bed room the other a king bed room. This worked so wonderful for my family as we had 1800 sq ft of space. It was very nice. I have'nt had time to download my pic's which I took plenty of all three rooms for you guys. If you'd like to see them pm me your email and I will forward them out as soon as I can download them to my ofoto account) Once we settled in my husband and I struck out to IOA man the crowd was alwful. We did one tour around the park elbow to elbow with tons of IOA addicts and called it a day. We headed back which did'nt take long as 2 boats ran that day. We ate at Mama Della's that night which was wonderful as always. On Sunday we took the kids to USO which was not near as crowded. We saw the Barney show AGAIN>LOL which they have'nt changed a thing since July. I thought it was a christmas program or something special but I was wrong. We made it back in time to get some cookies and hot chocolate out on the piazza of the bay as the Grinch came out everynight to terrorize the kiddy's and read to them. That was so nice and our overlooked the tree and the bay it was a great view for christmas for sure.(see picturesLOL) That night we ordered out from Flippers pizza. Yummy! On Monday we did IOA again with the kids and that night we dined (hubby and me) at del toria. WOW that was our first time there and we decided on the buffett for 19.50 adults (9.50) kids. Man there's way to much good eating on that bar. There's wonderful salad greens homemade dressings and salad fixings, fruit trays, many bread variety's, a pasta bar (omg!!) which could be a post to itself, there where veggies, fish, chicken fingers, just something for everyone. Oh and did I mention a huge round table of fab desserts! Needless to say I hurt myself there.LOL Oh we also checked out the gelato bar on the piazza yummy waffle cones. On Tuesday morning I was awoken to ROBIN laughing are you UP yet! Needless to say I NOT!
We were sleepy heads but we jumped up and Robin and her son came to tour PBH and we ate down on the piazza at Sal's pizza this time. We got the kiddys' some lunch and I showed Robin around my HOME (PBH). I'm sure she'll have lots to share with you guys when she comes back. My ears are still ringing from her squilling when she saw my HOUSE.LOL
Robin and Micheal (her son) and my husband and I and our 10yo dd headed for IOA. We let them ride a while before heading back to PBH. We stopped at Confisco's and bought our Jenna supper because me and dad had ressie's at Mythos at 10:30 so we got the spinach and crab dip to tide us over. Well, things got ugly last night. The winds blew up and the rain came and we knew with tornado watches out we were not making it back to IOA. So we scrambed, begged and pleaded to get into mama dellas, or del toria everyone at star services, guest services just shook there head and said were sorry they've been booked in advance for weeks now even VIP's were turned away. Things look grim so we strolled along the piazza in the covered breeze way and I stepped into del toria and ask the host to be nice and feed two more tonight he took my name, we took a seat on the dreaded wait bench and we waited, for 2 mintues tops and were givien a table with party hats, noise thingys', and a tiara for me! I was so happy we ate and went to our room and opened the balcony doors and watched as the count down to the new year began people were out singing and dancing on the piazza and making noise with there thingy'sLOL. It was awesome. What a wonderful relaxing time we had. Can't wait to do it again. I'm thinking Mardi GRas.LOL
BTW/ we also ate at Margariteville, and we got cookies and milk for each of the two "rooms" not the parlor. We took food for the kids and the butler kitchen worked out great for making lunches and snacks for the ggg's. They brought up ceral bowls and plates for us to use with silver ware and washed up our glasses and dishes everyday. They even brought up highchairs for girls. Each night our beds were turned down the lights were dimmed over the bed and some nice music was left playing on the radio for us with chocolates and robes laid out on the beds. I have to say that housekeeping came by twice a day and checked with us. During turn down, any bath products that had been used since the morning cleanings were replace and trash was taken again and the towels were restocked as well. They were really on top of the game this visit with housekeeping.
