Thanks everyone! It was, and still is, a huge relief. Joe, Henry and I are going to head down to my Moms (about 3 hours south) for Mother's Day and my Grandma may be coming down for the weekend as well. I haven't seen her (or my Mom!) since Christmas, so it will be a real treat if it works out! If it does, I'll letcha all know and post a few pics. :goodvibes

In more un-Disney related news, Joe and I, with some friends, are going to Wisconsin Dells in later May for a 2-night getaway, then going camping with other friends in South Dakota over the 4th of July to see the fireworks display at Mount Rushmore! Then we don't have anything planned so far from July until our Disney trip in December. I told him I need something in about September or so to tide me over.

Just wanted to share our summer current plans - I'm really excited about it all!

Ok, I'm back and all caught up. Hope I didn't miss anything!

First of all - BRATS!!!:cloud9: Boy did that bring back memories. I worked with someone in NYC who was from Wisconsin. Went out to Summerfest one year and enjoyed those babies just about every day. His dad would simmer them in beer and onions first before putting them on the grill. YUM!

Those pix of Henry at the pool are so cute. We never did get a pool day at SSR - weather just didn't cooperate while we were there.

And great score on your room location. That view is gorgeous - must have been even better at night. We were located on the other end of the building - very pretty. And loved the closeness to DTD!:thumbsup2

Joe's Uncle once did that with brats too - REAL beer brats! SO YUMMY!!!!! Nothing beats 'em. Brats are pretty much unheard of around NYC, aren't they?

That is too bad about not getting to try out the SSR pool! It was pretty nice, but nothing really different or spectacular about it. One thing I think I forgot to note, during our night swim earlier in the week they were showing a movie poolside. I thought that was really cool and would be GREAT on a really hot night. :cloud9:

The room location was just awesome - I loved that quick walk to DTD too! The view was amazing at night - I have a few pics (that don't do it justice!) coming up.

Hi there! WELCOME!!!!!!! You've posted on the DIS, now feel yourself being sucked in to post all over the place! ;)

I hope my TRs have given you a bit of help/experience/tips with taking a toddler to Disney World! The biggest one is, take it slow. Part of you may want to go commando and get everything in-BUT, it will be sweeter to experience everything at the rate of your DD and to see things through her eyes. It's so so sweet to see their reactions to simple things like water features and the DUCKS! :goodvibes If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

In more un-Disney related news, Joe and I, with some friends, are going to Wisconsin Dells

I'm from Wisconsin and I must admit I have never been!!

His dad would simmer them in beer and onions first before putting them on the grill. YUM!

That is the ONLY way I make mine. We have them at least once a week in Summer!:goodvibes YUMMO!! HMMMM I think I have some in my freezer calling for me to make them maybe this weekend....:rotfl: It's wonderful living in the city I can go downtown anytime to get great brats from either Kelments (my Fav) or Usingers! Or just go to the grocery store :lmao: and get them. They are always in stock at the grocery store.

I'm so glad to hear your grandma is doing better! Your summer trips sound like they are going to be a lot of fun. I've never been to the Dells, but I have always wanted to go there. It is fairly close by to us, so I'm sure we will visit in the near future.

Hi Brook!
You've got some nice trips planned this Spring/ Summer....fun! And I think you're right, you may need something in last September/early October to tied you over until your next Disney trip!! Or you can live vicariously through all of us!!!;)

I'm slowly but surely making it through everyone's reports now that I am home with Isabella. Henry is a cutie pie! I also really like the pics of him with the towel around his shoulders.

So glad you'll get to see your mom and grandma soon! :goodvibes Your summer plans sound awesome - especially July 4th at Mt Rushmore! A mini TR, please? :flower3:

Hi Brook! I have been lurking on your trip report and thought I should finally say hello. First, so glad to hear your grandma is home and doing better.:)

I am enjoying your trip so much -- it almost feels like I am there with you. You do such a great job at giving all of the details. Henry is just adorable and it looks like he had such a great time!:yay:

I just bough DVC last year (also at Kidani) and am excited to be staying there for the first time in August.

Great to hear your experience at SSR -- I stayed there in Oct (on developer points) and thought it was just okay, not my favorite resort. You make it sound so much better! I am actually staying there again (have to use up the rest of those developer points before they expire) starting this Saturday and I'm going to try and spend some time exploring the resort. Also, I may just have to request room 1301 for that fabulous view. Already requested Congress Park (love that you can walk to Downtown Disney from there) so hopefully I will luck out with the room:woohoo: In Oct I was also in a Congress Park studio and had a view of, well nothing:rotfl:

Can't wait to hear the rest of your story -- sad that it will be over soon -- but looking forward to hearing your plans for your next trip!

I'm glad your grandma is doing better. Wisconsin Dells and Mt. Rushmore will be fantastic!
