We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

Great updates again. Our little guy freaked out in Imagination too!! It must be scary for them at that age. He also had a dream about the trolls. Bad mommy. Now that he is a little older he can do those rides. I am glad you got to experience the Boardwalk area. We love that resort area. Now that you are DVC owners you can stay at those villas. We paid for a one bedroom at BWV and it was fantastic. We did not purchase DVC yet because we are attempting to move to Florida. I cant wait to hear how Spoodles was. We have yet to eat there. Next time in WS you have to let Miyuki (sp... candy lady in Japan) make Henry a lollipop they are so cool. She ususally picks the little kiddos which is a nice treat.

Hi Brook! I'm spending my Friday night trying to catch up on the DIS. I've caught up to your AK day.........

I love the parade there! It's so interactive and fun. I can't believe you and Joe got to be in it once. And Henry's expression when he saw Donald was just so cute!

So - how was Nemo? We haven't seen it yet but we really liked the movie. Is it worth it? As for EE......I keep telling Lauren we HAVE to do it; but were you really freaked? I'm easily intimidated by rides but once I get on, I love them! I don't know if I'll be able to handle it though - Lauren is determined to get me to try RnRC this trip; don't know if I up to EE also!

And I can't believe you got to see Ben in person!!!!! How cool! He's so creepy but, oddly, I find him slightly attractive. :confused3 I've noticed you discovered our LOST thread; look forward to exchanging theories with you over there!

Hi

Just marking my spot so I can get started.... I know... 15 pages behind, but I'm getting into TR's again and love the title of yours! :goodvibes

Hi Brook! Thanks for all the information on the grocery services and will pass on the information to my friend!

Isn't the Pressed Pot Coffee at Kona amazing?!?! The breakfast there is pretty darn good also...and you can still get the coffee if you have dinner there.

I am sorry Henry's belly got upset again...is he doing better? Has it happened at all since you have gotten home?

Looking forward to seeing how dinner at Spoodle's went!

I also hope you had a nice Valentine's day!

Did you ever work on the 'Price is Right'? :rotfl2: You definitely got some posing tips from Uncle Bob Barker.

The fish looked good. I can't wait to hear about Spoodles.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted lately - work was BUSY this past week, in addition to that, we worked from home all week, with Henry (I cannot count how many times I have read "Where is Baby's Belly Button" this week!). Our sitter was surprised by an "all expenses paid" trip from her Mom (for her and her sister) to go LAY ON THE BEACH IN FLORIDA FOR A WEEK! :cloud9: We told her "Go, go, go! We'll deal with work for a week!" So it was an exhausting week, but really great to spend all that time with my little guy. :goodvibes

I did manage to write a new update for the TR somehow this past week, so I hope to get that posted later today.

Sorry to hear Henry was still having trouble here. Apparently at that age the inherent revulsion to particular food that comes with sickness must not have developed yet.

I managed to come down with some sort of stomach flu that's been going around the family last week, and happened to be finishing up a project that involved sampling various candies for my Blog while, as it would turn out, I was in the process of getting sick (I most likely picked it up from one of my nephews who was sick for much of the previous week.) Even though the candy had absolutely nothing to do with me getting sick, I can hardly stand to even look at a Whitman's Sampler at this point due to the (most likely misplaced) association with the crud. It seems weird to me that a toddler will look at something that caused them to puke their guts out, and immediately want more. I suppose I'll figure these things out once I have kids of my own.

On a more pleasant note, I'm enjoying the TR and the photos.

Oh gosh, so sorry you haven't been feeling well! I hope it has cleared up by now. I so understand about the association with foods and sickness, I've got a few of those myself. One being Sweet & Sour Chicken, which is a bummer because I know I like it! :rotfl:

And trust me, you probably won't figure out these sort of things once you have kids of your own. They defy all logic!

We are hoping to get a table for Illuminations, but I am not sure if we really want to wait that long to eat dinner!

Poor you and Henry with the mac and cheese incident -- thank goodness for napkin lady!!!

The photos around Crescent Lake are beautiful! I spy Stormalong Bay in one of those!

That would be a long wait for dinner - I would be starved! But, it might be a good excuse to "sample" some yummies from around the World prior to dinner....:rolleyes1 ;)

That napkin lady was an angel!

Oh yes! We spied out Stormalong Bay a couple times in this trip - unfortunatly it was surrounded with a huge fence and we couldn't really get a feel for it. It looks AWESOME from what we could see though!

Great updates, as always!!

The "Brady's go to Hawaii" descriptor makes me want to stay at the Poly even more!!! Loved those episodes!

Glad you made it onto so so many rides/pavilions that you hadn't been able to do before. Isn't the Mexico pavilion beautiful? You got great pics in there... mine never come out.

Can't say I'm a big Maelstrom fun but I do remember thinking it was cool when it first came out. Especially when you think you're going over the edge.

Those fish and chips look yummy even at 5:53am! I am most decidedly not a fan of the birds. I think they are out of control and way too aggressive. Not sure what Disney can do about them but I think they're scary!

What a nice, nice mom in Sunshine Seasons. I actually got a little misty that she was so nice and that you got help in your "time of need." What a relief. Maybe she's a DIS'er!

Poor H. Glad to hear whatever it was cleared up!

And hurrah for Soarin. My favorite!!

Mexico is so beautiful! I am pretty sure it was Joe snapping pictures in there, I remember saying "Oh, hon, get that light fixture..." :rotfl2: He does really well with night shots usually, he's got a steady hand!

When Maelstrom first came out, was it really popular? Is that why they have a FastPass? I'm so curious as to why...!

The birds are WAY out of control back there, but not as bad as at Kennedy Space Center (there is some foreshadowing for ya...) I bet many people can't even eat back there because the birds just swarm you. And they will just eat anything! Back on our Disneymoon I recall a bird at Peco's Bills at MK that stood there and watched me eat every single bite. Eventually I gave it a piece of chicken from my wrap, which it gobbled down. They are like the pigeons in NYC, they will eat anything you throw at 'em. Ick, ick, ick! But, they did make for good distraction for Henry and it became hilarious at how many there were!

I was thinking that Napkin Mom might be a DIS'er too! I wouldn't doubt it!

Another most wonderful update!! I'm so glad you were able to experience so many firsts, I'm glad Henry liked the play area after Figment that is a great place LOL!!!

I have to agree with Henry I really enjoy the musical presentations in EPCOT, they are fantastic!!!

Oh no to the being sick again!!! I'm very happy you had a nice mom who was there to help that is awesome

Your pictures of the resort area are amazing!!!! Can't wait to hear about spoodles...but uhoh to being close to the door...is that forboding LOL

The play area after Figment is SO neat! I was just telling the Children's Director at our church the other day about the light-up pads that play the music. I could see his gears were turning! It's so creative. I hope in December Henry darts around in there, it will make for fun video!

The napkin mom was so, so awesome!

Being that close to the door at Spoodles was for two reasons, one being very fun....:goodvibes

So, sorry to hear about Henry's stomach problems again. Hope he is feeling better now.

We just love the walk back to Y&BC through IG, the walk going in is wonderful as well. Thanks for posting the pics!!

Thank you! :goodvibes Henry is feeling better now! No sickness at all.

That IG walk is superb! I would be visiting Epcot all the time if we stayed in that area.

poor baby being sick.... i eat/ drink so many milk products that i don't even think about it sometimes... and then eat or drink them when i really shouldn't...

and i can't wait to hear about spoodles... never really hear much about it.

and i love your pics at epcot. we spent a day there in sept and really want to go back and take our time and see lots more

I know, we totally didn't think about the dairy either - it's instinct to just grab that! :headache:

The Spoodles update should be coming later today....

Epcot is awesome, isn't it? There is SO much to look at and take-in. We've explored almost every country, but haven't ever really stopped for all the shows (just caught a few here and there). Next trip, that is my goal!

So sorry that the mac & cheese didn't agree withyourlittle guy.
IT's awesome that the nice lady sprinkled some pixie dust on you though!

Has it been confirmed that Henry has a milk allergy? Poor little guy!

The Napkin Mom was great - I was so touched by her! I love it when people see another person in need and help!

Nope, no milk allergy! Just a weird stomach bug that was irritated with the milk products. Which is a HUGE relief, but I felt so bad for him!

I loved hearing your reaction to going over the International Gateway and over to Spoodles. We really like having that gateway when we are at the BWV's.
The "napkin mom" was so nice! I'm glad she was there to help. That must have been a crazy moment for you!
I'm you went on Soarin again! That is one of the best!!!!

The IG is awesome! Such a quick nice walk! I would be in Epcot daily I think if we stayed over there. The CMs at the Norway bakery counter might know me by first name...

It was a crazy moment for me. SS is so busy and here I am in the middle of it, with all that happening. :headache: Thankfully, my reaction when these things happen with Henry have always been reaaaaaaaaaally chill. Joe tends to wig out, so I end up doing the exact opposite. Take a deep breath and deal the best I can. The Napkin Mom saved the day though!

Soarin' just rocks! I love it!

Poor Henry. I'm glad that things got better soon and he wasn't sick anymore! And I love your IG pictures, that's one of my favorite parts of Disney! It's such a gorgeous, peaceful walk. We usually park at the Beach Club and walk over to the IG gateway entrance when visiting Epcot (shhhh... ) Great update!

The IG is a great walk! So quiet and pretty - and quick!! (your secret is safe here!)

i'm anxious to hear more!

More coming later today!

I hate that I can't see your pictures at work because then I get way behind and forget what I wanted to comment on. Let's see what I do remember...
*Kona Cafe looks so delicious. I really want to try those pancakes.
*Poor Henry with the milk, so sad.
*Marc and I call Maelstrom the "trippy viking ride" and I am going to have to show him your pictures because I started laughing at the blurry/trippy ones.
*What a nice lady helping you out with Henry! Sometimes little things like that make a world of difference.
*Would it be wrong to eat at Spoodles just because of those light fixtures?

I should unblock my "protected" account. I don't even know why I did that in the first place...I cannot recall...then I bet you could see them again. I'm going to do that right now...

Okay, there we go. Let's see if that will help! :thumbsup2

The pancakes rock from Kona! You gotta try 'em!

I LOVE that you call Maelstrom the "trippy viking ride!" That is so so appropriate. (I think that might be why I liked it - kinda quirky and weird!)

Nope, eating at Spoodles for the light fixtures would NOT be wrong! :rotfl: (or just popping in for a quick picture or 12...)

Poor Henry (and Mommy, too!!!) and what a nice lady-- you can tell she was a Mom, for sure!! There still are nice people in this world....

What a nice walk you guys before dinner, it's so pretty out that way!! Hope Spoodles was a nice dinner for you, can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Ya, after that Napkin Mom was off and things were calm again, I thought "I bet she's been there, done that!" She just swooped in and saved the day. And I am SO thankful!

Spoodles update coming later today!

Poor Henry. My middle child had a very similar problem. The best her Dr. could ever tell me was that she was suffering from a mild stomach bug and the dairy products irritated her. She only threw up when she ate dairy. I was overjoyed to find she was not lactose intolerant because we love our dairy! Anyway glad it appears to be nothing serious but sorry he got sick so much on your vacation.

I cannot wait to visit Epcot. Your pictures are amazing.

That must be exactly it! He was completely normal except the throwing up after dairy. THANK YOU for posting that! I have been thinking it MUST have been something like this (because we never did take him in to the doctor), but didn't know if that could really happen. I was overjoyed when he started taking, and keeping down, dairy again too! It was really difficult to have to find foods without dairy in them for those few days.

Epcot is GREAT! It's so pretty and there is so, so much to look at, and eat!

Great Trip Report!

But seriously...you are from Minnesota...you have a 1+ year old boy...you went to Disney in January....you love LOST....????

I think you might be ME!

My wife and I took our 18 month old boy to Disney for the first time in January (6-13). We stayed at the GF for the first time. We wanted to be on the monorail since it would be easier with our son's stroller and the 4/3 deal allowed us to fit the GF into our budget. Reading about your trip reminds me of our trip that ended about a week before your's started. It wasn't cold at all while we were there....but there were a few more people around...judging by your photos.

Anyway...from one Minnesotan to another....glad you had a great trip!

Eric

:rotfl: Hello Eric! Thank you for reading!

Staying on the monorail would be SO handy. Smart decision! You can just wheel right on and relax. The buses with the stroller are a bit of a pain.

How did your little guy like Disney World?

It DOES warm up, thankfully, later in the week for us! It was still warmer than Minnesota, so we sucked it up! But, I was aching to pull out the t-shirts and not have to dress in layers.

Poor Henry and poor Brook! I'm sorry he got sick again. I love when moms help other moms out. What a kind soul. Spoodles looks great! I wonder why you were glad you were by the door though. Hope all was okay.

I love it when Mom's help out each other too - I love seeing in happen, and being on the receiving end just makes me want to help those I see even more!

Being by the door was good for two reasons, one was very fun...so no worries there!

I LOVE the pictures! It really makes me so excited - especially the pictures from Mexico at Epcot. Your DS is ADORABLE. I have an 18 month old and we will be going the first week in May - I have a 4 year old too. I took my 4 year old when he was 9 months and then again when he was 3 and we had our 8 week old with us at the time too... so I guess we have had some experience with little ones and how flexible you have to be with them!

Thanks for sharing your story!

Thank you!! I'm glad my pictures have helped "feed the need", hopefully they can keep tiding you over until May!

You have to be so flexible with the little ones! But, that is what makes it half the fun. You never really know what the day holds!

Great update!! I can't imagine how scary it must have been with all the random sickness going on with Henry. When Jack-Jack was so sick over Christmas, in all my research online before we had a diagnosis, I read that lactase is the last enzyme the stomach gets back after being sick. Because I SERIOUSLY considered a milk allergy as the cause of all the vomiting. I guess dairy is just really hard on an already upset stomach and can prolong the symptoms.

Can't wait to hear the rest!!!

That makes a TON of sense. I was certain Henry was lactose intolerant that week too - I kept telling Joe, "That HAS to be it!" and would do some internet research and everything just didn't line up. And of course, the internet leads you to some CRAZY diseases, so I quickly gave that up and trusted the medical advice of my Mom! Good thing I did too!

Great updates! I love your pose - you look like you're having so much fun! The pics of the Poly are great. We've only seen the lobby (while waiting to get seated at Ohana) - now I wish we explored a little more. I keep saying it - but poor Henry! Although you probably had it worse than he did with all the cleaning up and worrying! Such a nice lady to bring you napkins - truly a magical moment for a mom. :goodvibes

It was a magical moment! At that moment it was just pure relief!

The Poly area is beautiful, I loved it!

Love your trip report! Poor little guy! I secretly (ok well not so secretly!) love it when guests are nice/helpful/make magic for other guests! Can't wait to read more!

I not so secretly love it when guests do that sort of thing for each other too! It was the first time I've ever been on the receiving end of it, and it was PERFECT timing. I plan to keep spreading that Pixie Dust whenever I have a moment, both inside and outside of WDW!

Oh, that is sad about the dream with the trolls! :guilty: I hope Henry has just completely forgotten about all that - but who knows...in December we won't be pushing it with those rides, he'll just do the ones we know he loves!

That is so great about trying to move to Florida! Joe and I always talk about it too when we get older and kids are moved out of the house.

I wanted to see the candy lady SO STINKIN' BAD! I've missed her every trip! Well, we caught her last trip, but toward the end and couldn't really see. I forgot to mention, but it was a "must do" on this trip that didn't happen. Henry would be thrilled with a lollipop!

Hi Cammie! I almost shouted out to you on the LOST thread, but didn't want to hijack it!

I think today you leave for your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE A MAGICAL TIME!!!!!!!! :yay:

Nemo was really impressive! I really enjoyed it! The music, songs and puppetry are outstanding. We were able to just walk right into the last showing, very little wait. But, we would have been waaaaaaaay in the back if Joe weren't with. And being in the front row was a bit much, but still neat!

EE was FREAKY at night!!!!! Scaryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! But I like getting scared like that! During the day it's not as scary, it's more thrilling and impressive.

I know what you mean about Ben - I think he's attractive too! He has a very smart look to him I think.

Hi

Just marking my spot so I can get started.... I know... 15 pages behind, but I'm getting into TR's again and love the title of yours! :goodvibes

Hello there! Thank for reading and joining along!
I read your last TR with Waldo and LOVED it! I dont recall if I ever commented or just lurked. It made me laugh and laugh though. Your kiddos are ADORABLE!

No problem on the grocery services, let me know if your friend has any more questions too. I'm happy to help!

I am SO GLAD to hear you can get the pressed pot for dinner! Joe isn't a huge breakfast man, he'll be way up on dinner though!

Henry is doing 100% better, and nope, no sickness since we've been home! Back to normal!

Spoodles coming later today...

Valentine's Day was fairly uneventful, but still good. :goodvibes How was yours?

Did you ever work on the 'Price is Right'? :rotfl2: You definitely got some posing tips from Uncle Bob Barker.

The fish looked good. I can't wait to hear about Spoodles.

:rotfl: I LOVE the Price is Right! I think Joe must too because he's always the one who told me to pose that way! :rotfl:

I left off as we had arrived at Spoodles and were led to a table just inside the main dining room. I wasn't overly fond of the spot, as I like to be in the room rather than on the fringe, but this turned out to be a very good spot for us that night!

Our sever, Jason, came promptly with the menus, gave some suggestions and took our drink orders.

As we browsed the menu, I decided to just get an appetizer for my meal. No entrees really jumped out at me, plus I knew if I just went with an appetizer, I would have room for dessert and a coffee. ::yes::

Our foccicia bread soon came with oil and herbs for dipping.

IMG_5826Small.jpg

We polished that basket off, nooooo problem. I think I could have eaten that bread for my meal. And Jason brought a second basket! Good man!

For our entrees, Henry got a bowl of chicken noodle soup. This is actually a child's appetizer, but 2 of the 3 entrees for children were dairy based and the other was steak, which he can't quite chew yet!

IMG_5827Small.jpg

This chicken noodle soup was GREAT! Henry truly enjoyed it.

Joe ordered Oak-fired Steak Kabobs - with Multigrain Pilaf, Balsamic Red Onions and Harissa. He enjoyed every bite!

IMG_5830Small.jpg

I just wikipedia'ed "harissa", it's that red sauce in the pic - it had a spicy/sweet taste.

And I ordered the hummus. I had asked how many pitas you get, hoping it would fill me, and I believe I was told two, I was pleasantly surprised when the dish arrived, TONS of pita!

IMG_5829Small.jpg

I am a big hummus fan. The best I've ever had was in Israel, followed by a little joint in the West Village in NYC. This hummus was very, very good too!

Throughout dinner many people came and went through the doors that were located just behind me and Henry took to waving and blowing kisses at every-single-person, including the waiters and waitresses. Joe and I started to make up a dialogue...

"Hi there, how are you?"

"Hello, my name is Henry, what's yours?"

"You are cute!"

"Hello, welcome to Spoodles. Thank you for dining with us tonight."

Many people didn't notice him, but those that did were thrilled with his cuteness. As were Joe and I, it provided great dinner entertainment and I quickly loved that we were seated near the doors!

Just as Joe finished his first steak kabob we heard a rumble and, a, uh...a "sound" from Henry's pants. The "sound", if coming from an adult, would have been quite embarrassing. :rolleyes1

Joe scooped him right up out of the highchair and hightailed it to the men's room, which, was very close due to our proximity to the doors! Again, we were thankful for our location! I continued to munch on dinner. (In hindsight, I should have gone since my dish wasn't hot, but in the moment he moved faster than I did)

By the time he came back Henry was short a onesie and Joe's dinner was cold.

Just that morning I had told my Mom "the other end" was okay, hadn't I?

Erg. :headache: Hopefully this was just a one-time event...

Henry, however, was his normal waving and blowing-kisses self! :wave2:

Joe wasn't too upset about his dinner going cold, that just meant he could bring "home" some leftovers and have enough room for dessert with me!

Our waiter brought the dessert menu and recommended two dishes. One being the Chocolate Espresso Cake.

Need he say anymore?

SIGN ME UP! :yay:

Joe and I both got this - Joe wasn't certain I would like it because of the chocolate (not a huge chocolate fan), but I figured I would because of the combo with the espresso. Henry got a fruit bowl for dessert. (Which I do believe he ate every bit of! I love that my little guy doesn't yet know the difference between ice cream and fruit. :teeth:)

IMG_5837Small.jpg

Well, I was right! This was lick-the-plate-yummy! I didn't expect the whipped topping or the raspberry sauce on the side and those just complimented the AMAZING cake perfectly. I ate every bite.

As did Joe.

IMG_5838Small.jpg

Another angle of this beauty.

We also had ordered a couple cappuccinos just before we left (in to go cups), and while they were good, they were very strong.

I want to say, Jason, our waiter was very attentive, very prompt and overall an excellent, excellent waiter. He didn't let our drinks hit the bottom and was quick with the bill and our cappuccinos!

We slowly made our way out of the restaurant and started to wander without any direction.

IMG_5839Small.jpg

IMG_5846Small.jpg

We soon found ourselves at the Swan

IMG_5847Small.jpg

and then we decided to walk around the loop and check out the Yacht and Beach Club.

IMG_5873Small.jpg

After some wandering we found the Beach Club Villas, which we both quickly fell in love with! The entire resort is truly beautiful. We had a lot of fun exploring!

After our exploring, we decided to head to Epcot to catch Illuminations. This was something I was hoping to do, and it worked out perfectly. Henry was sound asleep in the stroller, wrapped warmly in several long sleeve shirts and jackets and I slipped the plastic rain cover over to break any cold wind.

Very soon we were walking back through the International Gateway and the PassPorter guided us along the World Showcase to some of the better viewing spots. The one we ended up at was near the Friendship Docks at the "start" of the World Showcase, a bit on the Canada side. There was a large planter that people were already sitting on, and it looked like a good place to rest and wait.

We sat down for about 2 minutes when I mentioned I wanted some water after having all that coffee. That went from water, to a snack, to school bread and a sweet almond pretzel!

Joe hoofed it over to Norway while sleeping Henry and I hung out on the planter. Soon I struck up a conversation with the gal to my right. She lived in Texas, but is from Taiwan and had two friends with her from Taiwan. It was their first time at Disney World, they were surprised about it being so chilly and had fully expected warm weather in Florida. But, they were toughing it out and having a great time! They missed Spectro and Wishes at MK the night before because it was so cold, but were determined to see Illuminations. A few years ago for work, the gal actually lived in Minnesota for two months during the middle of the winter, the poor thing!

Joe was back pretty quickly with the delicious, delicious treats.

IMG_5879Small.jpg

Sweet pretzel for me

IMG_5882Small.jpg

School bread for Joe. Apparently the white frosting is back!

Shortly after we devoured them, Illuminations started! I figured the first few explosions might wake Henry up, and I was right. But, no tears, just wide eyes and clapping!

We watched this show on our first trip in 2006 and while I thought it was nice, I wasn't too awed by it. It must have been our location, because this time I LOVED it! It was wonderful!! I can see Illuminations, like Wishes, becoming a must-do for every trip!

Ready?

BEGIN PICTURE OVERLOAD! :woohoo:

After the show we said good-bye to the gals from Taiwan (who also loved Illuminations) and joined the mob and started our walk to the bus. As we slowly wandered out I realized we never got to ride SE or Living with the Land - two rides I really wanted to do. But, we had a great day, so I wasn't too disappointed. Plus, we still had six more days in WDW! Who knows, maybe we could get back to Epcot??

Back at SSR....Henry again got to enjoy the big bathtub, before Mommy has even tried it!

IMG_5975Small.jpg

Little guy in a BIG 'OL TUB!

He went right down after his bath, Joe and I relaxed and soon called it a night.

Reflections on our third day: The weather was warmer, in the 60s during the day, but cold still at night. The best thing about today was taking it slow, enjoying my family and that dessert from Spoodles! The worst thing about today was Henry throwing up at Sunshine Seasons - but the most magical moment was the Napkin Mom! Today we tried Kona breakfast and the result was YUMMY! Delicious coffee and AWESOME food!

Notes to self: Pack extra onesies in the bag for Henry! The plastic bag over the stroller is excellent for cooler weather, it kept Henry very cozy.

Up next: Fried food & too many sweets

Oh yum! The bread and oil dip looks delicious. Much better than my Chicken in a Biskit crackers that I'm munching on. ;) Fabulous Illuminations photos!

I will have to check if I can see your pictures at work on Wednesday. I have an extended long weekend.

Spoodles looks really yummy!! The hummus looks great and so did Joe's meal. Henry seems like such a cutie, even upset stomach doesn't get him down.

Wonderful Illuminations pictures! I love the ones with the people towards the bottom, I love that you get a feel for the crowd in them. :goodvibes

Brook, I have so much to catch up on!

The Poly is really beautiful and we loved it there! Your pics are wonderful! I agree on Kona breakfast, it is delicious. We really enjoyed our press pot there, too. But I have to warn you that the other sold at Kona and Kona Island (the coffe bar) is not 100% Kona, but Kona blendAlso, it looks like you took the monorail from the Poly to the TTC to transfer there. Did you know that it is an easy walk from the Poly to the TTC? Oh and to add some more transport info, you can also take a very lovely boat from the MK to the Poly (it also stops at the GF). We found this to be very reliable and an extremely pleasant way to arrive at the MK!!

I love your picture of the mosaic at the Land, the mosaics are so beautiful and I never managed to get a good picture of them.

Your magical moment was great, I am glad this lady came to your rescue. While it was just such a little gesture, it is so great when you get help from total strangers. It is nice how this will forever make an otherwise pretty bad moment in a good memory.

Sppodles sounds like a lovely dinner, we were supposed to eat there, but never made it because we really wanted to get something lighter that evening. It will remain a "first" for one of our future trips!

I also had a similar experience with Illuminations like you - first trip I was a bit amazed why it was so hyped. Second trip I just skipped it. And then third trip we had a great viewing location and I was thinking wow, this is actually really nice. Now this time on our fourth trip I started to think I might even like this as much as Wishes!! :scared1:

What a wonderful update Brook!! Spoodles looks so yummy!! And oh my are your illuminations pictures gorgeous or what...I'm so jealous!!!! I love EPCOT I'm so glad you had a good day there!

Spoodles looks A-MAZING. Definitely on my list for the next trip. I can picture H blowing kisses to everyone. Too cute. Sorry 'bout the "explosion" in his pants. :scared:

As always you and Joe captured gorgeous photos! I especially loved the little trip "home" to Beach Club and Beach Club Villas. Isn't it gorgeous! I was thisclose to buying resale and the deal didn't work but now I am anxiously on the look out for another contract to come up for sale!

The Illuminations photos are gorgeous as well. I love the fireworks with kids on their parent shoulders in the foreground. Just something about them seem so magical. :goodvibes

Oh and H is too cute in the bathtub. I love baths on any day but after a long day at the parks? :cloud9:

Spoodles sounds great! I've heard nothing but good reviews of the place, and we were thinking of trying it for breakfast on our next trip. We'll see. And great pictures of Illuminations!!! It's withough a doubt my favorite nighttime show at Disney and yours are some of the best pictures I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing!

Another fantastic update... Spoodles is on a list of places I would like to try and am glad to hear Henry did well there. We had worse than a onesie bathroom stop at Chef Mickey's once.. I literally had to go and buy an outfit at the gift shop!

Man, I couldn't seem to get any good pictures of Illuminations when I was there (well I got a couple, but nowhere near that good.) I had better luck with Wishes, but for some reason I found Illuminations a bit more challenging (probably due to the lack of a big bright focal point in the middle of everything.) I had a nice spot in Germany though, so I got to see Illuminations going on here and Wishes off in the background at the same time.

Hope the gastric distress comes to an end soon.

Spoodles looks so yummy! Too cute about Henry flirting with everyone!

The pictures of Beach Club almost made me change my mind -- just kidding. :rotfl: Although I would love to stay there one day.

Illuminations! So beautiful!

Henry in the tub is precious!!!

:wave2: Hello! I thought I'd come out of lurking and say I'm loving your TR, and Henry is super cute :cutie:. I'm sorry to hear about him throwing up though :crazy2: That's no fun, especially in Disney World! Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading more!

Great pics Brook!! I especially love the ones of Illuminations, you got some GREAT ones!:thumbsup2 The pic of Henry is the tub is adorable! Looks like a great way to end the day! Hope you got to enjoy it at some point, too!!:goodvibes
